These Starbucks drinks are leaving menu in March – and here's what's replacing them

Starting March 4, Starbucks will remove less popular drinks to simplify its menu and focus on top-selling items, the company confirmed.
Items like the Iced Matcha Lemonade and Espresso Frappuccino will be discontinued.
Starbucks plans a roughly 30% menu reduction by September 2025 in order to introduce new drinks and seasonal items.
SEATTLE - Starbucks is swapping out some fan-favorite drinks to make room for a new batch of flavors.
Starting March 4, Starbucks told FOX Television Stations it will remove a selection of "less popular beverages" from the menu.
What they're saying
"These items aren't commonly purchased, can be complex to make, or are similar to other beverages on the menu," Starbucks said in a statement to FOX, noting that it will be simplifying its menu to focus on fewer, more popular items.
The drinks that are being removed are: Iced Matcha Lemonade, Espresso Frappuccino, Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino, Java Chip Frappuccino, White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino, Frappuccino Crème Blended Beverages, White Hot Chocolate, Royal English Breakfast Latte and Honey Almondmilk Flat White.
"This will make way for innovation, help reduce wait times, improve quality and consistency, and align with our core identity as a coffee company," Starbucks continued.
What's next
Additional beverages and food will exit the Starbucks menu throughout the coming months, resulting in a roughly 30% reduction of menu items in the U.S. by the end of Sept. 2025 to make way for new products.
The company said it would be focusing on premium beverages rooted in customer trends and preferences going forward.
In January, Starbucks introduced the Cortado, which the company said has already performed beyond its expectations.
This spring, Starbucks is bringing back lavender beverages, including the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha and the Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte. The company will also introduce new seasonal beverage – the Iced Cherry Chai, alongside a new food item, the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket.

Earlier Monday, Starbucks announced that it would be laying off 1,100 corporate employees across the globe.
The move comes as dozens of other private companies have announced layoffs so far in 2025, as well as thousands of positions within the federal government.

In a letter to employees released Monday, new Chairman and CEO Brian Niccol said the company will inform employees who are being laid off by mid-day Tuesday.
Niccol said Starbucks is also eliminating several hundred open and unfilled positions. Baristas and roasting and warehouse staff are not included in the layoffs.

Bed bugs in Ventura hotel lead to $2-million jury ruling for bitten guests
A bed bug-ridden stay at a Ventura hotel turned into a multimillion-dollar jury payout for two guests who were "massacre[d] from bed bug bites" during their visit, according to court records. A jury on Friday ordered the Shores Inn to pay $2 million to Alvaro Gutierrez and Ramiro Sanchez, in what may be one of the largest known bed bug-related jury awards. "The bed bugs latched onto the Plaintiffs while they slept, sucked their blood until they were gorged, and resisted eradication," according to the complaint. A representative for Shores Inn did not immediately respond to a request for comment. An attorney representing the hotel in the suit also did not respond to a request for comment. According to their complaint, Gutierrez and Sanchez were "exposed to painful and disgusting bed bug infestations," and suffered physical, emotional, and mental anguish as a result of their Feb. 7, 2020, stay at the beachside hotel. "The management was not taking good care of the place," said Brian Virag, attorney for Gutierrez and Sanchez. "Turns out, they had experience with bed bugs at that hotel dating back a long time." The complaint, filed in December 2021, alleges the two men rented a room at the hotel and immediately began experiencing bed bug bites. The suit also alleged that management at the hotel must have been aware of bed bug problems because several online reviews on Google and Yelp warned guests about bed bugs at the hotel, located at 1059 South Seaward Ave. in Ventura. Despite knowing about the problem, the suit alleges, management failed to eradicate the pests from the hotel, exposing guests to harm. Gutierrez and Sanchez left the hotel after one night, Virag said, and had to seek medical treatment as a result of the bites. On May 23, a jury awarded Gutierrez $400,000 in damages for past and future pain, disfigurement, grief, and emotional distress as a result of the injuries. Sanchez was awarded $600,000 in damages, according to court records. The jury also awarded $500,000 each to the two men in punitive damages. In 2022, the Disneyland Resort agreed to pay $100,000 to a resort hotel guest in a lawsuit settlement addressing claims she was bitten by bedbugs during a visit in 2018. The following year, a British tourist represented by Virag won a $375,000 award after being attacked by bed bugs during a stay at a Hollywood Hills home. Virag, an Encino-based attorney who has specialized in bed bug cases filed against hotels and apartments, said the $2-million jury award is the largest one he's seen in bed bug-related cases in his career. Trump-supporting communism survivor jumps into race for late Democrat's seat
FIRST ON FOX: A survivor of Soviet Union-era communism is jumping into the race to replace late Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va. Karina Lipsman told Fox News Digital that her family fled the USSR when she was a child and that her childhood in the U.S. began with a single mother raising her in low-income housing in Baltimore. "We ran from socialism and toward the American dream. We came here because America stood for freedom, hard work and the chance to build something better," said Lipsman, a Republican. "We didn't speak English when we arrived. But I worked hard, kept my head down and earned every step to get to where I am today. I became a citizen at 18. I put myself through undergrad and grad school." Glenn Youngkin announced Tuesday that the special election to fill Connolly's seat will be on Sept. 9. The late Democrat, who died of esophagal cancer in late May, had represented the district since 2009. Connolly had announced in April that he would not be seeking re-election due to his health. Prior to Connolly, the seat was held by Republican former Rep. Tom Davis from 1995 to 2008. Since then, however, it has shifted much further left. The nonpartisan Cook Political Index rates the district D+18, and Connolly defeated Republican challengers by more than 30 points in each of the last three election cycles. Lipsman previously ran for the House in Virginia's neighboring 8th Congressional District but lost to longtime incumbent Rep. Don Beyer, D-Va. She argued, however, that constituents were hungry for "work horses" – and said she could meet that demand. "We need leaders who put their heads down and do the hard work to fix what's broken," Lipsman said.
