NFL fans had jokes after someone fell into the lake during the Browns' helmet unveiling
The Cleveland Browns are in midseason form, and that's not a good thing.
On Wednesday, the Browns joined several teams across the league in unveiling new alternate helmets for the 2025 season. And yeah, the Browns' color scheme doesn't make for the most aesthetically pleasing uniforms, but they decided to go all in on the brown with the helmets.
The team even decided to hold an unveiling ceremony on the bank of Lake Erie with a big inflatable helmet, sponsored by Dude Wipes (gross).
But, of course, the Browns couldn't even make it through that event without a blooper. Someone who appeared to be filming content lost track of where they were standing and fell right into Lake Erie.
Thankfully, it was just a short fall into a water, so this person appeared to be OK. But this would only happen to the Browns.
NFL fans had plenty of jokes for the moment.

Shedeur Sanders Has Officially Been Called Out By The Browns
Shedeur Sanders Has Officially Been Called Out By The Browns originally appeared on The Spun. Shedeur Sanders has officially been called out by the Cleveland Browns for his off-the-field behavior. The fifth round NFL Draft pick is no lock to make the team. Sanders, one of two quarterbacks drafted by the Browns - Oregon's Dillon Gabriel being the other - has had a couple of off-the-field incidents so far. He has reportedly twice been pulled over for speeding, once going around 100 MPH. Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry officially called out the young quarterback while speaking to the media at training camp earlier in the week. The Browns admitted that what Sanders has been doing is "not smart." Berry didn't hold back when discussing Sanders' off-the-field incidents. "Not smart. Just not smart," Berry said. "It's something that we've addressed with him. Look, he understands the implications, he understands the consequences. It's not just about yourself. It's not just about having a joyride, but that you could injure other people. … A deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, it's just dangerous." Sanders, meanwhile, has said that he's learned his lesson. He won't be driving fast anymore. "Yeah, I definitely learned not to drive fast at all," Sanders told reporters. "So I really don't even drive that much anymore. But I really don't drive fast at all. So I definitely follow the rules and I hope everybody learned from my situation, you know that not drive fast at all." Sanders was first cited on June 5 for driving 91 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. Less than two weeks later, he was cited for driving 101 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. The rookie NFL quarterback settled both tickets, paying more than $500 in fines and court fees. Sanders promises that he's learned his lesson from the two speeding incidents. Shedeur Sanders Has Officially Been Called Out By The Browns first appeared on The Spun on Jul 27, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jul 27, 2025, where it first appeared.

Colorado's Deion Sanders to hold press conference alongside medical team Monday
Much has been made about Deion Sanders' future in Boulder due to a mysterious health issue that has limited his offseason participation with Colorado football and his sons − Shedeur and Shilo − in the NFL playing for the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively. On Monday, July 28, the college football world at large may be getting some answers on what may be on the horizon for the Colorado coach. Sanders will be holding a press conference alongside his medical team to provide "team and general updates," per The Athletic's Chris Vannini. It will be his first news conference of the 2025 fall camp for the Buffaloes. While no one but Sanders is entitled to know his health status, rumors have swirled due to his limited involvement in Colorado's spring and summer camps. Sanders appeared in good spirits at Big 12 media days, praising Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark for continually checking in on him, Colorado AD Rick George for taking a chance on him, and the other coaches in the Big 12. Sanders ultimately declined to expound upon his health at media days, saying he was "here to talk about (his) team." When is Deion Sanders speaking to media? Sanders and his medical team will be speaking to media Monday, July 28 at 1 p.m. ET, 11 a.m. MT (Boulder local time). It is unknown what the specific updates will be.

Browns GM calls out Shedeur Sanders over speeding tickets: 'Not smart'
Shedeur Sanders' tumultuous offseason took a couple more wrong turns when he was twice cited for speeding. Sanders was first ticketed for going 91 mph in a 65-mph zone. Two weeks later, he went 101 in a 60 and failed to appear in court for both citations. The quarterback said he haas learned from his mistakes, and it seems that his general manager, Andrew Berry, assisted in teaching him a thing or two. "Not smart. Just not smart," Berry told reporters this week about the tickets. "It's something that we've addressed with him. Look, he understands the implications, he understands the consequences. It's not just about yourself. It's not just about having a joyride, but that you could injure other people. . . . A deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, it's just dangerous." The rookie quarterback addressed those traffic tickets while appearing at teammate David Njoku's charity softball game last month. "I made some wrong choices personally, and I can own up to them," Sanders said. "I made some, you know, not great choices … I learned." Sanders is now currently vying for a starting spot on the Cleveland Browns, who selected him in the fifth round after an unprecedented slide in the NFL Draft. The Colorado alum was once in consideration to be a top-five pick, but he was not selected until the third and final day of the draft. One of the quarterbacks selected over him, Dillon Gabriel in the third round, was his own teammate. His odds of getting the starting job don't seem too high right now, though, as he's taking most of his reps with third-stringers. Out of himself, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Gabriel, he is the only one who has not taken a snap with the first team.
