All the weekend football action in the Ardal leagues
KNIGHTON Town celebrated a 1-0 win at home to Dolgellau AA in the Ardal North East League on Saturday. Kieran Dovey was the match winner with his 36th minute strike proving the difference at Bryn-Y-Castell. Kerry claimed a point from a 1-1 draw at Rhos Aelwyd having led through Mark Hughes' strike at the break before Ryan Jenkins levelled to rescue a point for Rhos. Henry Shipley starred with two goals as Radnor Valley battled to a 3-2 win at Llanrhaeadr. Lewis Morris also netted for the Goats while Llan hit back with replies from Dave France and Owain Lloyd-Jones before Shipley grabbed the winner. Bow Street claimed a point from a 2-2 draw with Penycae. The Wrexham side twice led at Cae Piod with Zac Davies and Ben Buley on target only for the Magpies to reply for a point with Garmon Nutting and Caio Carruthers netting. Llandrindod Wells hit back to thrash Lex XI 5-1 at Broadway despite the dismissal of player-manager Gareth Jones after the Lawmen led through Seb Kidd. The Spamen led at the break with two goals from Liam Hall who completed his hat-trick after the interval with Shaun Nicholls and Nyle Slade also on target. Llanfair United slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home to Corwen with Henry Evans, Harley Bennion and Calyn Barlow goals cancelling a reply from Josh Astley. Builth Wells toasted a 4-1 win at Llangollen Town with goals from Ollie Woods, Lee James, Jac Rideout and Iollan Guinane cancelling a reply from Whalen Mwebe while the hosts also ended with 10 men following the dismissal of George Roberts.
