Dúbravka shortlisted for Premier League Save of the Season award
Dúbravka's save was voted Save of the Month, and will now go up against the other monthly winners for the overall 2024/25 award.

Also in the running are David Raya of Arsenal, Kepa Arrizabalaga of Bournemouth and Manchester United's Andre Onana - who each have two nominations - as well as Chelsea's Robert Sanchez, Tottenham Hotspur's Guglielmo Vicario and Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez.
"It is extra special because the whole preparation for the game pays off at that moment. You know that you did something right during the week," Dúbravka said of his save in January.
"It's not just that save, but it's repetitions. You're constantly working during during the week on the opponent and you try to replicate it - and in a situation like this you're happy.
"I tried to prepare myself for a tap-in, and just spread myself to try to react. Then Sven (Botman) tackled me at the same time! So I was happy that I could make the save, but at the same time I was sore because he smashed my hamstring from behind!

"But it was a special moment for me at the time - and to keep a clean sheet as well, it always counts. I didn't want to give anything to Wolves."

Manchester City begin title quest with convincing win against Wolves
Erling Haaland and new signings Tijjani Reinders and Rayan Cherki combined as Manchester City thrashed Wolves 4-0 in their Premier League opener. Haaland struck twice either side of a fine effort from Reijnders, and substitute Cherki added a late fourth, as City began their quest for a seventh title in nine years in convincing fashion at Molineux. Reijnders also had a hand in both of Haaland's goals in what was a particularly impressive introduction to life in the English top flight. Whilst it may be premature to suggest City have found the ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, it was a very promising showing from the Dutchman. His presence brought dynamism to a City side that also raised eyebrows in other areas. Most notably, goalkeeper James Trafford was handed a debut and Ederson – described as 'number one' by manager Pep Guardiola this week despite speculation over his future – was missing from the squad altogether. The club, however, later confirmed the Brazilian's absence was due to illness, with the 31-year-old suffering from gastroenteritis. John Stones returned in defence for his first appearance since February and another new recruit, Rayan Ait-Nouri, featured against the club he left in the summer. It was an emotional occasion for Wolves as they paid a series of tributes before and during the game to Diogo Jota, their former striker who died last month following a car accident. The visitors assumed control early on but did not create a clear-cut opening until the 19th minute when captain Bernardo Silva crossed for Haaland but the Norwegian, having to stretch too much, headed over. City had some moments of alarm as Wolves got behind the defence. Marshall Munetsi thought he scored when he headed past Trafford from a Matt Doherty cross but he was clearly offside. A chance also appeared to open up for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde but again the flag was raised. City took charge of the game after two moments of brilliance from Reijnders in the space of three minutes. The Netherlands international, whose outings at the Club World Cup may have helped him settle, played a delightful lob over the defence for Rico Lewis and his pull-back presented Haaland with a simple tap-in. Moments later the former AC Milan midfielder applied the finishing touch himself with a superb low strike across goal after Andre Gomes lost possession to Oscar Bobb. Jorgen Strand Larsen spurned a good chance to pull one back after the break when he side-footed narrowly wide and the same player also forced Trafford to palm over. Haaland increased City's lead just after the hour following more incisive work from Reijnders, who received a long ball from Trafford and exchanged passes with Bobb on the right. He continued his run and pulled back for Haaland to sweep home from the edge of the area. Cherki, having been on the field just eight minutes, added to Wolves' woes when he drove in from distance nine minutes from time after combining with Nico O'Reilly.

Haaland fires Man City to opening win at Wolves
Manchester City signalled their intent to take back the Premier League title as Erling Haaland struck twice in a 4-0 win at Wolves on Saturday to begin their campaign. After four consecutive titles, City finished a distant third last season as Pep Guardiola's men failed to win any trophy for the first time in eight years. New signings Tijjani Reijnders, who was the star of the show at Molineux, and Rayan Cherki were also on target to give Guardiola hope his side will be back in the title race this season. Guardiola made a bold call amid ongoing uncertainty over City's goalkeeping situation. James Trafford made his first senior appearance for the club after returning for a second spell at the Etihad from Burnley. Ederson was not in the travelling squad as he is reportedly close to a move to Galatasaray, which could see City pursue a deal for out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain 'keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Wolves are among the favourites to be relegated after losing talisman Matheus Cunha to Manchester United. Vitor Pereira's were ultimately well beaten, but the outcome could have been very different had they made the most of an uncertain City start. Marshall Munetsi powered a header into the bottom corner but was flagged offside. Instead, the game swung decisively in City's favour with two goals in three minutes, thanks to Reijnders creativity and goal threat from midfield. The £46.5 million ($63 million) signing from AC Milan jinked through the Wolves midfield before dinking a pass into Rico Lewis, who squared for Haaland to tap in at the back post. Moments later Oscar Bobb released Reijnders to arrow in a precise finish on his left foot. Trafford did not have many saves to make, but showed his ability with his feet to begin a flowing move for City's third. The England goalkeeper cushioned a long pass into Reijnders, who played a one-two with Bobb, before cutting the ball back for a clinical Haaland finish. Haaland was denied the chance to net a hat-trick as he was replaced by Cherki 17 minutes from time. The French international took just another eight minutes to make his mark by picking out the bottom corner from outside the box. Tougher tests of this new-look City are around the corner with Tottenham, Brighton, Arsenal and Manchester United in their next four league games.
