As of late, Tre Harris is a name that's starting to rise up a lot of 2025 dynasty rookie rankings. In a recent mock draft by Fantasy Points, Harris was selected at the 1.05 in a Superflex rookie draft. For reference, FantasyPros average rank for Harris is 14.6.
There's certainly a lot to be excited about. From an advanced metric perspective, Harris grades out very well, especially in his yards per route run. Below, we'll be diving into Harris's profile and placing him in my 2025 rookie rankings.
From a box score perspective, Harris looks great. Harris broke out at Louisiana Tech, catching 65 passes for 935 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore. With questions surrounding his level of competition, Harris would transfer to Ole Miss for his final two seasons.
In his true senior season, Harris would dominate in the SEC, catching 54 passes for 985 yards and seven touchdowns. With one more year of eligibility, Harris would stay for his fifth year, where he unfortunately suffered a groin injury. Harris would only play in eight games on the year but was fantastic in them.
In just a small sample size, Harris had 60 catches for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns. From an efficiency perspective, Harris was first in yards per route run with a mark of 3.0. As researched in the past, the metric is seen to be very predictive of future success.

Right now, I expect Harris to be a mid-second round in the 2025 NFL Draft. At 6' 2'' and 205 lbs, Harris has cemented himself as one of the top outside receivers in this class. Typically, these types of players tend to go higher than slot receivers in the draft.
NFL Mock Draft Database agrees with my assessment. The community has Harris with a rank of 57th overall (second round).
If Harris does go in the second round, he'll have a great historical hit rate. This study shows that round two receivers have a 20% chance of becoming a WR1 and a 29% chance of becoming a WR2.
With all of that in mind, Harris is the WR12 in my 2025 dynasty rookie rankings. As I dive even deeper into Harris's profile, he could jump up a few spots. There are just quite a few receivers that I'm a fan of in this class. This places Harris as the 26th-ranked player in a Superflex format and 25th in a 1QB league.

Lake County council appoints NWI Oilmen president to sports commission
Don Popravak, president of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen baseball club, said the Northwest Indiana Professional Sports Development Commission will work across the region to create a 'cohesive professional sports development area here.' 'It will help drive tourism. It will help drive economic development for cities and towns across those counties,' Popravak said. 'There is unlimited potential here.' The Lake County Council appointed Popravak to the Northwest Indiana Professional Sports Development Commission Tuesday as proxy for council president Christine Cid, D-East Chicago. House Bill 1292, authored by Rep. Earl Harris, D-East Chicago, would establish a Northwest Indiana professional development commission and a professional sports development fund. The commission would be tasked with exploring and implementing strategies to attract one or more sports franchises to Northwest Indiana, Harris said. The bill outlines the 17-member commission, which include mayors from East Chicago, Gary, Hammond, Michigan City, LaPorte, Portage and South Bend, while the remaining members would be appointed by various people, including the executive director of the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority, and Lake, Porter, LaPorte and St. Joseph county leaders. Under the bill, the commission would explore attracting professional football, baseball, basketball, hockey or soccer teams. But, since the Chicago Bears have been looking for a new home, Harris said when he proposed the bill in the 2024 session it got attention then as a possible new location for the team. The Chicago Bears purchased the former Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights in February 2023 and hopes to build a new enclosed stadium with a big entertainment and residential development. In December, the Bears and Arlington Heights reached an agreement to set taxes at $3.6 million per year. Earlier this month, the Chicago Tribune reported that team officials have shifted their focus for a new stadium away from the city's lakefront back to Arlington Heights. But, Harris said his bill allows Northwest Indiana to be considered as the Bears consider a new home. Northwest Indiana is in the Chicago market, he said, so the fan base for the Bears – or any Chicago team – is there, he said. 'This makes it more attractive for them to come to Northwest Indiana. It provides another option,' Harris said. 'I think there is an opportunity for them if they can't work things out in Illinois.' Lake County Councilman Charlie Brown, D-Gary, asked Popravak if he can assure the council that the commission will secure a shot at moving the Chicago Bears to Northwest Indiana. Popravak said that about $3 billion would help secure the Chicago Bears. Given that the Chicago Bears are debating stadiums in Chicago and Arlington Heights, that would be a difficult assurance to ask for, he said. 'I can't guarantee things like that. Those are a little bit out of my reach,' Popravak said. 'Those are big stakes.' Cid asked Popravak to keep the council updated on the progress the commission makes. Popravak said he would, and that the commission has a meeting planned in July. Since he was elected, Harris has touted Northwest Indiana's resources like the lakefront, the Gary/Chicago International Airport, the South Shore railroad, casinos and the planned Lake County Convention Center. A stadium for a sports franchise is the next step, he said. Nearly 30 years ago, Harris said his late father proposed legislation to bring a sports stadium to Northwest Indiana, also aiming to draw the Chicago Bears to the region. 'To be able to pick up the ball, as his son, I'm very proud and happy about that, and I'm sure he would be also,' Harris said. 'I'm glad to see this bill has made the movement that it has and it will make it through the process, and excited about what it will mean in terms of professional sports, economics and jobs in Northwest Indiana.'

Cason Wallace is making the most of these NBA Playoffs
For those who've watched former Kentucky Wildcats play in college, there was little doubt that Cason Wallace had the tools to carve out a role for himself as an NBA player. It's been a joy to watch him earn a starting spot in the NBA Finals playing alongside the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Wallace's stats in his lone season in Lexington weren't all that impressive on the surface. But his contributions went far beyond his 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. #22 brings a tenacity to both ends of the floor that you can't replicate or game plan for. Advertisement He's tough as nails and has the skills to add value in a variety of ways. After being selected 10th in the 2023 NBA draft by his hometown Dallas Mavericks, Wallace would quickly be traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 12th pick, Dereck Lively. There's no denying that Wallace has benefited from Thunder's transformation into the best team in the league. Playing alongside the MVP and fellow former Cat Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would undoubtedly provide a young player with increased opportunity and confidence. If you've watched the Thunder in the NBA playoffs this spring, you've likely noticed Wallace knocking down open 3s. Becoming a bigger threat from the outside makes it hard to keep him off the floor. Although his 3-point percentage is down to 35.6% after shooting over 41% his rookie year, you can tell SGA and others trust him to stick it when the defense gives Wallace an open look. Hopefully, he can get on track Wednesday night in Indianapolis. He's had a slow start to the NBA Finals shooting the ball. Through two games, Wallace is 0-5 from three. Advertisement Oklahoma City vs. Indiana will tip-off at 8:30 PM ET Wednesday night on ABC, with the series tied 1-1. More from

Four-star DB Devin Jackson 'feels way better about Miami' after visit
Miami, despite being in-state for Devin Jackson, is a new program among his long list of contenders. The Hurricanes didn't offer until this spring, not long after the arrival of Will Harris from the rival Florida Gators -- where he had Jackson on board as a commitment last year. Advertisement A four-star out of Orlando (Fla.) The First Academy, the rising-senior took an official visit to Coral Gables over the weekend and admits Mario Cristobal's program is working its way up his list. "I got to see the character of the coaches and the players," Jackson said. "All that matters coming into a program and I feel like all of that checked a green box for me. I feel way better about Miami. "It's a great school with a great culture." In experiencing said culture, another former UF commitment under Harris was also on his official visit in Jaelen Waters. The Tampa-area standout has been committed to the Hurricanes since March. Advertisement Time with the duo creates more familiarity with The U. "Me and Waters knew each other since we were at Florida together," Jackson said. "He knows how great of a coach he (Harris) is. It's still the same love with Harris. He says I'm still a major priority to him and Coach Cristobal. It's just the relationship we've built." "Miami is close to home and the culture and everything at Miami is just great," Jackson said. A verbal commitment will come this summer, between late June and mid August as the top-20 safety projection gets into evaluation mode when the trips are each completed. "I'm taking my time with it," he said. "Not rushing anything. Either August or if I know where I'm going after officials I'll commit in July.
