Prince Harry offers to share his personal diary with the royals in attempt to ‘deconflict': report

New York Post28-07-2025
Prince Harry has proved he's serious about reconciling with his estranged family members after offering to share his diary dates with the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, has offered up a transparent view of his calendar to senior members of the Firm in a desperate attempt at repairing their fractured relationship.
Harry's olive branch is said to be an attempt at 'deconflicting' his engagements — so that the Windsor clan can select a date that works best for the king to meet with the 'Spare' author face to face, the Daily Mail reports.

What's more, the offer has reportedly also been extended to the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not spoken to the Sussexes since their royal exit in 2020.
The Invictus Games founder's apparent eagerness to be fully transparent with his family would also ensure that no overlaps happen between both camps.
'Harry has shifted into a new way of thinking. The tone is now all about 'deconflicting' with his family,' a source told the outlet.
A recent overlap had occurred during the duke's trip to Angola, where Harry's work with the Halo Trust charity overshadowed the unveiling of Queen Camilla's 78th birthday portrait.
'That's why his household agreed to draw up a 'grid' of his activities and share them with Buckingham Palace, and by extension with Kensington Palace,' a source said.

The gesture comes just weeks after Harry sent his aides to London where they met up with the monarch's communications secretary.
'Before that meeting between their aides in London, conflicts of interest or clashes of publicity were relished and even perhaps encouraged by the Sussexes,' the insider added.

However, the source added that the olive branch doesn't change the fact that the exiled royal is still very much looking to protect his independence.
'Harry still doesn't like being controlled by the royal machinery, and that won't change,' they said, adding that the royals will now have 'full sight' of Harry's schedule. 'It's a significant gesture.'

Blake Lively rips Perez Hilton for churning out more than 500 negative articles about Justin Baldoni feud

Blake Lively claims Perez Hilton published more than 500 negative pieces about her unrelenting feud with Justin Baldoni — as she dukes it out with her co-star-turned-enemy for allegedly mounting a smear campaign against her. Lively, 37, alleged that Hilton — whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr. — put out 540 'disparaging' videos and posts about her without first reaching out to her side for comment and which 'generally regurgitate messaging that appears to be prepared by others,' according to court papers her lawyers filed in Manhattan federal court Tuesday. 3 Blake Lively's lawyers filed court papers claiming blogger Perez Hilton has published over 540 negative pieces about her in her feud with Justin Baldoni. Variety via Getty Images Advertisement The court papers also claim that Hilton used a slew of slurs and 'mocking' epithets about her including calling her: 'Blackface Blake,' 'Lying Lively,' 'Ku Klux Khaleesi,' and 'Litigious Lively.' The 'Gossip Girl' star subpoenaed the gossip hack for any correspondence he may have exchanged with Baldoni's side as she seeks to prove her claims that her 'It Ends With Us' co-star-turned-nemesis carried out a smear campaign against her, with the help of the film's production company Wayfarer Studios LCC and others. Hilton last month filed papers seeking a protective order to stop Lively's team from publishing journalists' and influencers' personal addresses when she subpoenas them — and he's fighting her subpoena for his records in Las Vegas federal court. Getty Images for One Drop Hilton told The Post in an exclusive statement that he's not part of Baldoni's alleged smear campaign against Lively and that he only published opinions he formed on his own by reading Lively's suit and Baldoni's since-dismissed countersuit. 'I was not part of any smear campaign against her,' Hilton said. 'I was not working on behalf of anyone. I was not paid by anyone.' 'After reading Justin Baldoni's lawsuit against her and his first amended complaint, my opinions and support shifted,' the influencer said. Advertisement Hilton also said that his work records are shielded by laws that protect journalists and said since he works and lives in Las Vegas, the issue should be fought in a court in the Silver State. 3 Blake Lively claimed in her lawsuit that her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni sexually harassed her and then carried out a smear campaign against her. GC Images 'She is asking me for information that is privileged,' Hilton said. 'She is also asking me for information that she could and should obtain from the parties in this case, the Wayfarer defendants, not from me — a nonparty to this litigation.' 'I did nothing wrong,' he concluded. 'I am not afraid of Blake Lively.' Advertisement Lively is asking Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Liman to force Hilton to comply with her subpoena and to force him to cough up attorney's fees for any Hilton-related litigation. Her team claimed in the court papers that to date, Baldoni and the other defendants haven't turned over any messages that Hilton exchanged with them. The 'A Simple Favor' actress claimed Baldoni sexually harassed her and then launched a campaign to tarnish her reputation. She claimed he shared details about his sexual conquests with her and the fact that he was addicted to porn. After, Baldoni launched counterclaims accusing Lively and her 'Deadpool' actor husband of extorting and defaming him. Liman dismissed Baldoni's suit in June. Lawyers for Lively and Baldoni didn't immediately return requests for comment Wednesday.

Matthew McConaughey lost ‘Titanic' lead role over refusing to do James Cameron's simple request

Iceberg ahead, alright, alright, alright. Matthew McConaughey, 55, almost landed the role of Jack Dawson in James Cameron's 1997 film 'Titanic,' but lost out due to his Southern drawl. In a new posthumous memoir, 'The Bigger Picture' by Jon Landau, the late producer detailed the casting in depth. 11 Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet in the 'Titanic.' ©20thCentFox/Courtesy Everett Collection According to a snippet obtained by Matthew Belloni's What I'm Hearing newsletter, Kate Winslet, who was already cast as Rose, 'was taken with Matthew, his presence and charm.' Cameron, 70, meanwhile, wasn't having it. The filmmaker told McConaughey, per Landau's book, 'That's great, now let's try it a different way.' 11 The Bigger Picture' by Jon Landau. Penguin Random House McConaughey, who was raised in Texas, allegedly quipped back, 'No. That was pretty good. Thanks.' 'Let's just say, that was it for McConaughey,' Landau penned. The role of Jack ultimately would go to Leonardo DiCaprio. The Post reached out to McConaughey's rep for comment. 11 Matthew McConaughey. Getty Images for Jacquemus In 2021, McConaughey opened up about his audition while on the 'Literally! with Rob Lowe' podcast. 'So I went and read with Kate Winslet, and it was not one of the auditions,' he said, 'they filmed it so it was like into screen test time.' 'After we left, you know, it was one of those ones where they, like, followed me, and when we got outside, they were like, 'That went great.' I mean, kind of, like, hugs. I really thought it was going to happen. It did not.' 11 James Cameron. AFP via Getty Images The 'Dazed and Confused' star also set the record straight on rumors that he was offered the part. 'I asked Cameron about this, because the gossip over the years that I heard and would see written about me was that I had the role in 'Titanic' and turned it down,' McConaughey recounted. 'Not factual. I did not get offered that role.' 'For a while, I was saying, 'I gotta find that agent. They're in trouble,'' he teased. 'I mean, we all look around and see we've over-leveraged our life with yeses and go, 'Geez, oh, man, I'm making C minuses and all that s–t in my life because I said yes to too many things.' 'That was my lane, and I liked that lane,' he said of his rom-com work. 'That lane paid well and it was working. But the lane was… I was so strong in that lane that anything outside of that lane, dramas and stuff that I wanted to do, were like, 'No, no, no, no, no McConaughey.'
