HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?
Shillong teer is played in two short rounds, each lasting just two minutes. In the first round, skilled archers release 30 arrows toward the target, followed by 20 arrows in the second.
Participants place their bets by choosing a number between 0 and 99, attempting to predict how many arrows will successfully hit the mark. Tickets are available at authorised counters and can be purchased in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50.
The prize money depends on both the ticket value and the accuracy of the prediction. For instance, a correct number in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket can earn the player Rs 80, while a winning guess in the second round offers Rs 60. Remarkably, those who correctly predict the outcome of both rounds can take home as much as Rs 4,000 and all from a single Rs 1 ticket.
Beyond Shillong, other known Teer games include Juwai Teer, Khanapara Teer, Ladrymbai Teer and Night Teer.

DPL 2025: All-Round Brilliance Powers Purani Dilli 6 To 10-Run Win Over New Delhi Tigers
Last Updated: Purani Dilli 6 beat New Delhi Tigers by 10 runs in a high-scoring DPL match. Samarth Seth's 80 off 46 balls led them to 200/6, with Udhav Mohan's 2/29 aiding the defense. Purani Dilli 6 showcased a commanding all-round performance to clinch a thrilling 10-run victory over New Delhi Tigers in a high-scoring Delhi Premier League (DPL) encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Purani Dilli 6 set a formidable target of 200/6 in their 20 overs, thanks to a scintillating innings from Samarth Seth, who anchored the batting with a fluent 80 off 46 balls. His knock, characterised by elegant strokes and timely acceleration, laid a solid foundation for a substantial total. He received strong support from Pranav Pant, who contributed a steady 46 off 36 deliveries, and Vansh Bedi, who added fireworks with a blistering 31 off just 9 balls. Together, they propelled the side to the 200-run mark. Among the bowlers, Pankaj Jaswal stood out for the Tigers, claiming 3 wickets for 28 runs in his complete quota of four overs. In response, New Delhi Tigers lost a couple of early wickets and found themselves on the back foot. However, Shivam Gupta and Vaibhav Rawal revived the innings with a composed 55-run partnership for the third wicket. Gupta played a valuable knock of 39 off 24, while Rawal led the charge with a brisk 62 off 35 deliveries, keeping the chase alive until the final overs. But the disciplined bowling attack of Purani Dilli 6, particularly from Udhav Mohan—who now holds the Purple Cap—proved too formidable in the end. Mohan once again delivered under pressure, returning impressive figures of 2/29 in 4 overs, helping his side defend the total and secure the win. New Delhi Tigers: 190/7 (20); Vaibhav Rawal: 62 (35), Shivam Gupta: 39 (24), Udhav Mohan: 2/29 (4) view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Only One Ground Receives 'Very Good': ICC Reveals Pitch Ratings For India vs England Tests
Last Updated: The ICC rated pitches for the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, which ended 2-2. Shubman Gill led India with 754 runs, earning Player of the Series. Harry Brook led England with 481 runs. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced pitch ratings for the recently concluded Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The five-match Test series between England and India saw all games reach the fifth day, with the Manchester Test being the only one to end in a draw. The opening Test at Headingley, Leeds, was rated 'very good' for both the pitch and the outfield. The second Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham, received a 'satisfactory' pitch rating, while its outfield was deemed 'very good'. The same ratings — 'satisfactory' for the pitch and 'very good' for the outfield — were maintained for the third and fourth Tests, played at Lord's, London, and Old Trafford, Manchester, respectively. IND vs ENG Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Pitch Rating 1st Test – Headingley, Leeds Pitch: Very Good | Outfield: Very Good 2nd Test – Edgbaston, Birmingham Pitch: Satisfactory | Outfield: Very Good 3rd Test – Lord's, London The series proved to be one of the most dramatic contests in recent memory. England and India were locked at 2-2 going into the final game at The Oval, where Shubman Gill's young Indian side pulled off a thrilling six-run victory to level the series and secure the trophy. The nail-biting finish added to the spectacle of a series that had already provided plenty of drama, high-quality cricket, and individual brilliance. Shubman Gill emerged as the standout performer, finishing as the leading run-scorer of the series. The Indian skipper amassed a staggering 754 runs in 10 innings at an average of 75.40, which included four centuries. His consistent dominance with the bat earned him the Player of the Series award for India. For England, Harry Brook stood tall, scoring 481 runs at an average of 53. His aggressive stroke play and ability to deliver under pressure made him the hosts' Player of the Series. Rishabh Pant's tour of England ended in heartbreak as he suffered a freak injury, fracturing his right foot during the fourth Test in Manchester. With Pant ruled out of the deciding match, he now faces several weeks of rehabilitation, likely missing the Asia Cup.
