Why A Penalty Vs Lazio But Not Now? – Massa Under Fire For Penalty Decision In Como 0-2 Inter Milan Serie A Clash
Davide Massa has received criticism for his decision not to award Como a penalty against Inter Milan in yesterday's Serie A clash.
Today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, question why Federico Dimarco's handball didn't warrant a penalty if that of Yann Bisseck the previous week did.

Como wanted a penalty early in the second half of yesterday's Serie A clash at the San Siro.
The Lariani may have been down a man. However, they were pushing for a response right after halftime, playing the ball around Inter's penalty area.
A shot from Nico Paz made contact with the arm of Inter wingback Federico Dimarco.
Therefore, the Como players appealed to referee Davide Massa for a spot kick.
However, the referee waved these appeals away. He evidently felt that there had not been a deliberate handball by Dimarco.

In the view of the Corriere, however, Dimarco's handball was punishable.

The Italian international's arm was away from his body. And if anything he was moving his arm out, making his body larger.
This was exactly the offense for which Lazio received a penalty in the dramatic finale of their match against Inter last weekend.
Therefore, the Corriere question why it was a penalty then – but not yesterday.

Advertisement Inter Milan are reportedly eyeing up a move for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera. The Nerazzurri will have to do some defensive restyling this summer. (Photo byfor DFB) One of the main reasons why Inter Milan see Mosquera as a viable target is his contract situation. As things stand, the Spaniard's deal with Valencia runs out at the end of next June. Therefore, this summer looks to be a decisive crossroads for the defender. Valencia won't want to lose him on a free transfer in twelve months' time, so they must either lock him down or sell him. Advertisement And Inter have been waiting to see whether Los Che are ready to cash in. According to RadioEsport Valencia, however, the La Liga club are moving on this front. The broadcaster report that Valencia have already met with Mosquera's agent. Valencia are making it a priority to send a clear hands off message with a new contract for the 20-year-old.

🎥 Paolo Di Canio talks about his favourite memory of West Ham fans 😍

Paolo Di Canio made a name for himself in the 1990s and early 2000s as one of the most flamboyant and controversial footballers around, but it was at West Ham where he found a home. The Italian Maverick joined the Irons in January 1999, with Harry Redknapp taking a punt on a player who had become persona non grata after pushing referee Paul Alcock while with Sheffield Wednesday. Advertisement The gamble paid off, with Di Canio becoming the darling of the East End, scoring 51 goals in 141 appearances, and perhaps none more important than his FA Cup winner against Manchester United in 2001. His goal at Old Trafford also led to his favourite moment and memory with his adoring fans. Di Canio left West Ham in 2003 after relegation, but judging by this upcoming series, the bond between club, player and fans is as strong as ever. 📸 Phil Cole
