Israel intercepts Houthi missile, US targets Hodeidah airport
ALBAWABA - Three airstrikes were launched targeting the Hodeidah airport in Yemen, local Houthi media reported on Saturday night. Yemeni group accused the U.S. naval forces of carrying out the attacks. Also Read Houthis launch missile towards Israel, 13 injured
On the other hand, the United States has not made any comment regarding the attack on the Yemeni airport, AFP reported.
Al-Masirah TV further confirmed that five other attacks occurred in the Majzar district in Yemen's central province of Marib.
No official statement was made regarding the casualties or damage caused by the U.S. attacks, and there has been no comment from the U.S. side yet.
However, it is worth noting that the Hodeidah airport has been closed to civilian trips since 2014 when the Ansarallah group seized control over several northern cities, including the strategic city of Hodeidah.
Earlier yesterday, the Yemeni group confirmed they attacked the U.S. naval forces in the northern Red Sea for the 6th time since March 15.
Tensions escalated between Yemen's Houthis and the U.S. military after the U.S. Naval forces attacked Yemen on March 15, following the group's announcement to resume attacks on Israeli-affiliated ships in the Red Sea.
Houthi group announced resuming attacks on the ships in the Red Sea following Israel's blockade on aid into Gaza and the resumption of airstrikes on the enclave as the Israeli army announced the collapse of the ceasefire deal on March 18.

Hamas reports deadly operations against 'Israeli' forces in Gaza
Hamas' military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, reported Monday several operations carried out by its fighters against the 'Israeli' military as battles in the Gaza Strip rage. A gathering of 'Israeli' forces was hit with mortar shells – including 120mm and 60mm rounds – on May 31 east of Al-Qarara town, near Khan Younis in south Gaza. Another military post was hit with three short-range 'Rajoum' rockets on the same day, according to the statement. On Sunday, Al-Qassam said it struck an 'Israeli' D9 military bulldozer with a 'Yassin-105' anti-armor rocket in the Qizan Al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis. In another incident in the same area, the group said it targeted an 'Israeli' tank with a 'Shawaz' explosive device and a 'Yassin 105' anti-armor round. Yesterday, 'Israeli' defense minister said Sunday that he had ordered the army to push ahead with its fight on Gaza "regardless of any negotiations", after a US envoy called the group's latest response to a truce proposal unacceptable. "I have instructed the IDF (military) to continue forward in Gaza against all targets, regardless of any negotiations", Israel Katz said in a statement.

Flights halted at Ben Gurion as Yemen missile triggers sirens in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv
Published June 2nd, 2025 - 06:14 GMT This marks the second missile fired from Yemen within 24 hours that has forced a halt to flights at Ben Gurion Airport, causing significant disruption to air travel and raising alarm across central Israel. ALBAWABA- Air raid sirens sounded across Jerusalem and the greater Tel Aviv area following a missile launch from Yemen, according to the Israeli military. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they detected the missile and activated their air defense systems in response. This marks the second missile fired from Yemen within 24 hours that has forced a halt to flights at Ben Gurion Airport, causing significant disruption to air travel and raising alarm across central Israel. — משה موشي جرادي 🆇 Moshi (@mosha3324) June 2, 2025 The launch follows a direct warning from the Houthi-run Supreme Political Council Head in Yemen. In a recent statement, the council's president, Mahdi Al-Mashat, urged all foreign companies operating in Israel to leave immediately, threatening that damage would not be limited and vowing to escalate strikes against Israeli targets. The Houthis have pledged to continue air and maritime operations against what they called 'the invading entity' unless Israel lifts its blockade on Gaza and allows humanitarian aid to reach its people. In response to earlier Houthi strikes, Israel has carried out multiple attacks on key infrastructure in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, targeting airports, ports, and other strategic sites, many of which serve as critical lifelines for millions of Yemenis. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

OCHA: Israeli Occupation Squeezing Gaza Civilians into Just 18% of the Strip - Jordan News
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that, with the expansion of Israeli military operations in Gaza, less than 18% of the Strip remains designated as areas where civilians are permitted to be present. The rest of the territory is either under direct Israeli control or designated as evacuation zones, subject to continuous bombardment. اضافة اعلان According to the UN News Centre on Monday, OCHA noted that displacement continues across the Gaza Strip, with around 200,000 people displaced in just the past two weeks alone. The United Nations described the catastrophic situation in Gaza as the worst since the beginning of the war, with ongoing airstrikes across the Strip, especially in the north, where the last partially functioning hospital was forced to evacuate. OCHA emphasized that the humanitarian operation in Gaza is among the most obstructed in the modern history of global humanitarian response. Since March, Israeli authorities have imposed a near-total blockade on humanitarian aid and goods, allowing only a trickle of supplies in the past two weeks — what the UN described as "a drop in the ocean" compared to the actual needs of the population. The UN and its partners have been unable to deliver most of these limited supplies to civilians due to Israeli restrictions and widespread insecurity. A significant portion of the aid that did enter was looted by desperate residents, many simply trying to feed their families. – (Petra)
