Influencer raises alarm over FB group circulating photos of underage students
Influencer Mekyun was shocked after being informed that her own student photos had been floated within the group, with sexually charged comments posted to it.
The photos were posted on a Facebook group dubbed the "Group Budak 2 Sekolah Rendah", which had around 12,000 members.
"I feel so disgusted and sickened. I am speechless.
"This group is sharing photos of underage kids including photos of myself when I was still in school.
"The comments are so sick. This is wrong and is a crime," she said in an Instagram posting on Tuesday (June 10).
She urged the authorities to investigate the issue.
In an update to her post she said that the group had been deleted from Facebook.
"I myself have contacted the authorities and provided all the evidence that I had. Now investigations are being conducted," she said. View this post on Instagram

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, he said numerous complaints had been received regarding misconduct and illegal activities at several tourist locations, which could affect the industry's safety reputation. He recently led a joint inspection operation in Tawau involving his ministry's licensing and enforcement division, the Immigration Department, police, and other agencies. The two-day operation included checks on 30 tourist buses and vehicles, 15 tourism business premises, 40 boats, and four jetties, resulting in summonses for nine offences. Findings revealed that some companies, appearing locally owned, were operated by foreign investors, including those from China, and were involved in unlicensed activities such as operating water chalets, aquaculture, and homestays on agricultural or farming land. Tiong urged local authorities to take swift action against unlicensed operators and stressed that while foreign investment is welcome, it must comply fully with Malaysian laws and regulations. The incident occurred around 1:45 pm today (13 August) as Rafizi's wife and their 12-year-old son were entering their car to leave the shopping complex. A man had allegedly grabbed the boy and injected him with a syringe before fleeing. According to Rafizi's Facebook post, surveillance footage showed two men on a motorcycle following his wife's car. He believes the attack was premeditated. The attack involved two men dressed entirely in black and wearing helmets that completely covered their faces. They had been waiting earlier and rushed to attack my child at the opportune moment. The child was immediately taken to UPM Hospital for treatment. Rafizi Vows to Continue Despite Family Threat Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, and Rafizi's family has given statements to authorities. Rafizi, who previously served as a minister, said this was the first time his family had been targeted since he became a public political figure. He believes the attack was a warning to stop him from speaking out on specific issues. While I will take follow-up measures to improve security controls, I will not bow to any threats and will continue to carry out my duties as usual. PM Anwar calls for transparent probe into assault case involving Rafizi's son
KUALA LUMPUR — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today called for an immediate and transparent investigation into the assault case involving the son of former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli.
