Yahoo04-06-2025
The likely cause of death for the three daughters of missing father Travis Decker has been revealed.
A massive manhunt is underway for Decker, who sheriff's officials believe murdered the three girls. They are Olivia, 5; Evelyn, 8; and Paitlyn, 9. The girls disappeared after being transferred to their father for a visitation.
Decker, who is divorced from the girls' mom Whitney Decker, is at large. He is a native of Pewaukee, WI.
The release of the likely cause of death paints a chilling picture of the girls' last moments. Be forewarned that it's very disturbing. There is a GoFundMe page set up to help the girls' mother. There is also a Facebook group devoted to remembering the girls with positive stories.
A preliminary report filed with Chelan County Superior Court in Washington State revealed that the three girls "appeared to have died from asphyxiation," Fox13 reported.
According to NCWLIFE, extremely disturbing police affidavits filed in court further say that the "girls' wrists appeared to have been zip-tied and their heads hooded with plastic bags...They were wearing the same clothing they had on when they left their mother's home." They were found down an embankment near Rock Island Campground, the site reported.
The Facebook group devoted to remembering the girls has many heartfelt tributes to them.
"I coached Paityn in baseball and basketball. She was such an athlete and I was looking forward to watching her play FC soccer with my daughter this summer. Not all kids have grit but Paityn did. She tried hard and she wanted to win," wrote one man on the comment thread.
"We went to church together and I got to play with Paityn & Evelyn at the nursery! I loved seeing the girls on Sundays with their matching outfits!" a woman wrote.
"Okay, first of all, they were the most well-behaved, polite kids in the world. I called them the sunshine kids because they was always just so smiley and happy to be there," read another tribute.
"A joint operation including regional, state, and federal law enforcement agencies continues in Chelan County in search of Travis Decker. Travis is suspected of kidnapping and murdering his three young daughters this past weekend," the Chelan County Sheriff's Department wrote in a statement.
"A reward of up to $20,000 is available for information leading directly to Mr. Decker's arrests. The suspect is not known to be armed at this time, but should be considered dangerous," authorities added.
According to Fox 13, the documents say that Decker's vehicle was found near the bodies "with two bloody handprints, and had personal items such as blankets, food, car seats and a wallet on the center console." A tent and cooler were nearby at a campsite, the television station reported.
CCSO detectives and deputies "were able to gather information that led them to search the Icicle Rd area of Leavenworth, WA in hopes of locating Travis Decker and his three daughters," the Sheriff's Department wrote. "Around 3:45 p.m. yesterday (June 2), a CCSO Forest Service Deputy, conducting patrol on his motorcycle, located Mr. Decker's vehicle in a remote area, approximately 17 miles up the road, ultimately discovering the three deceased children and Mr. Decker was nowhere to be found."
Decker "is currently wanted for 3 counts of Murder 1st degree and Kidnapping 1st degree," the Sheriff's office continued. "Decker is a former Military with extensive training. If you have seen him, or believe to have seen him, within the last several days, please contact 911. It is unknown if he is armed at this time but he should be considered dangerous and should not be contacted or approached."
The Sheriff's Department released this information on Decker:
Travis Caleb Decker 8/15/1992
5'8' 190lbs, Black hair, brown eyes.
Last seen wearing light colored shirt and dark shorts,
On Friday, May 30 at 9:45 p.m., the Wenatchee Police Department "responded to a Civil Complaint. The mother of three young girls reported her daughters not being returned following a planned visitation with their father. The girls involved were ages nine, eight, and five years old. The father of the children has been identified as 32-year-old Travis Decker, of the Wenatchee area," the agency wrote.

An NYPD detective who was working security near the Park Avenue building where a madman killed four people had her reputation dragged through the mud in the aftermath of the slaughter. Online rumor mongers claimed Det. Shareka Henry fled the scene when bullets were flying, police sources said. At the time, Henry, 39, was working for a private security firm that covers 345 Park Ave. and 601 Lexington Ave, which is a block away. 6 Shane Tamura walked into 345 Park Avenue with an AR-15 assault style weapon and murdered four people. Obtained by NY Post She was at the Lexington Avenue building when Shane Tamura marched into 345 Park. with an AR-15 style assault weapon and opened fire. The victims included Henry' Brother in Blue, Det. Didarul Islam. 'She saw Officer Islam being carried out,' a source involved in the investigation said. 'She had seen him an hour earlier and got him an iced tea from Starbucks. It was still there at the scene.' Online, the rumors reached a crescendo a couple weeks after the shooting. 6 Workers who were inside 345 Park Avenue barricaded themselves inside offices. 6 NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, a father, was killed in the shooting. NYPD 'Armed NYPD Detective Shereka Henry observed the mass shooter approaching … with his long gun … and ran, hid, told no one,' read a post on a private Facebook group for cops that was shared with The Post. It wasn't clear who made the post from the copy that was being circulated. The rumors of her leaving the scene were so persistent NYPD brass brought her in for questioning last Wednesday, police sources said. 6 Authorities believed Tamura was angry at the NFL over the brain disease CTE that he believed he had. AP Investigators reviewed the NYPD's Argus security cameras and body-worn camera footage from officers at the scene and saw that Henry ran to the scene not from it, the source said. 'They have her on the plaza, but SRG (Strategic Response Group) and MTN (Midtown North Precinct) officers were telling everyone to stay back,' the source said. She's traumatized.' 6 Tamura had a license from Las Vegas to carry a conceled weapon. Obtained by the NY Post Henry recently was in the news when she was punched in the head while fighting a crazed man at a Midtown Starbucks after he was seen hurling products around the store, police sources said. Henry could not be reached for comment. 'How many people are these rumor mongers going to throw under the bus?' a representative for the Detectives Endowment Association said.

Putin's failed experiment to lure anti-woke Americans to Russia

'He feels like he's been thrown to the wolves right now,' DeAnna Huffman told her YouTube followers two months ago. Her husband is serving in a foreigners unit with Russian officers. 'He's not getting any training,' DeAnna Huffman said, because her husband doesn't speak Russian. Advertisement 'He's needing money,' she said, adding that he had to give the unit 10,000 rubles ($125) for supplies. The Huffmans have been living in what Russian media Advertisement Another American, Chantelle Hare, explained why her family moved to Russia from Texas in The trickle of American emigres calls to mind the larger migration during the 1930s, when hundreds of Americans traveled to the then-young Soviet Union, either to find work or to escape virulent racism in the United States. While there is no reliable, comprehensive account of how those emigrants fared in the self-styed 'workers' paradise,' Many Americans found work in the USSR's explosive factory boom of the early Advertisement Still others, disenchanted, tried to return to the United States, with mixed results. When I posted a query on a Facebook site for former Moscow diplomats earlier this week, a retired consular officer answered: 'I was in Moscow 1992-94 and saw a half-dozen of these American citizens come into the consular section to reclaim their citizenship. They were an interesting group. One older gentleman I remember had been living in a town in the Urals and still had a Chicago accent, although he struggled with getting English words out.' The Depression-era US-to-USSR emigres inspired few imitators. It seems hard to believe that history won't repeat itself with the Huffmans, the Hares, and their disaffected compatriots. The Russians have a saying, 'Khorosho tam, gde as nye,' meaning: 'Things are great, where we are not.' The grass is always greener, until you are standing on the lawn in question.
