‘Horizon 2' stuntwoman suing Kevin Costner over alleged ‘unscripted' rape scene reveals shocking new evidence
The stuntwoman suing Kevin Costner over an alleged 'unscripted' rape scene on the set of his 'Horizon' sequel is offering new evidence in her case.
Devyn LaBella amended her May lawsuit on June 18 to include alleged text messages that she exchanged with the 2024 film's intimacy coordinator, Celeste Cheney, the day after the alleged scene was shot.
'I wanted to discuss yesterdays abomination when we both have a chance,' LaBella, 30, wrote in the alleged text, according to US Weekly who obtained her amended lawsuit.

Cheney allegedly responded: 'Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this Devyn. Let's talk through it.'
LaBella, who doubled for Ella Hunt in 'Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter Two,' then listed off over a dozen questions about the scene in question, the alleged texts show.

'Why was there no intimacy coordinator?' LaBella asked. 'Why was a stunt double doing this non stunt work — especially given the sensitivity of it? Why weren't there any preparations going into the scene?'

LaBella also asked, 'Why wasn't it a closed set? How did lining up a shot turn into a rape sequence? Why was a man from the camera department directing this non scripted action?'

At the end of her message, LaBella allegedly asked Cheney, 'Who is gonna take responsibility for the abuse of power, negligence and ignorance on set?'
In another alleged text to Cheney, LaBella claimed she spoke to the film's line producer with someone named Marshelle present and received an apology for the alleged incident.

'Basically telling me you two spoke, and that Kevin had a long convo with Ella yesterday basically putting the blame on Kevin and that he needs to be brought up to the current times and that it won't happen again and apologize,' reads LaBella's alleged text obtained by TMZ.

Cheney alleged responded: 'Thanks for the update. I'm glad Jeff came to you and apologized.'
According to US Weekly, Cheney summarized LaBella's complaint in an alleged incident report, in which she claimed that Hunt and LaBella received 'apologies' from 'various parties involved.'
Cheney's report allegedly stated that 'ideally, apologies would be issued' by Costner, 70, and 'others involved' to both LaBella and Hunt.

Additionally, the alleged report said that Hunt asked for the intimacy coordinator to return to the set 'to provide support the following week,' while LaBella 'requested that production pay for her flight home that weekend so she could receive support from family and friends,' which production allegedly agreed to.
The Post has reached out to Costner's attorney for comment.

Last month, LaBella filed a complaint against Costner and production companies behind the Western film alleging sexual discrimination, harassment, and the creation of a hostile work environment.
In the documents obtained by The Post, LaBella claimed she was 'the victim of a violent unscripted, unscheduled rape scene,' which she noted was directed by Costner on May 2, 2023.

LaBella further alleged that she 'experienced shock, embarrassment and humiliation while attempting to process the situation' in the days that followed after filming.
She also claimed that she was 'not hired back to continue her role or at all as a stunt double for Horizon 3, which began filming in early 2024.'

The 'Yellowstone' alum's attorney, Marty Singer, shut down the claims after the lawsuit was filed in a statement to The Post.
'This claim by Devyn LaBella has absolutely no merit, and it is completely contradicted by her own actions — and the facts,' Singer said.

The first 'Horizon' film saw appalling box office numbers when it came out in May 2024. The sequel was pulled from movie theaters and instead had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival in Sept. 2024.
The Western film franchise has two more movies in the works.

San Francisco bookstore pulls ‘Harry Potter' books over J.K. Rowling's anti-trans pledge
A popular San Francisco bookstore has removed the 'Harry Potter' series from its shelves after author J.K. Rowling announced she would use franchise profits to support efforts aimed at rolling back transgender rights. Booksmith, located on Haight Street, said via statement, it would no longer carry Rowling's books following the author's pledge to fund the 'JK Rowling Women's Fund,' which she described as an organization committed to removing transgender protections 'in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces.' 'We don't know exactly what her 'women's fund' will entail, but we know that we aren't going to be a part of it,' Booksmith wrote in a blog post Monday, June 23. 'As a group of queer booksellers, we also had our adolescents shaped by wizards and elves. Look at us, it's obvious.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Booksmith (@booksmithsf) Rowling has said the fund will provide legal support for women who challenge inclusive gender policies. 'Promoting the idea that men can become women by performing their idea of what a woman is — which, funnily enough, often turns out to be a pornified sex object — does not liberate women and girls,' she wrote in a statement on X last month, criticizing transgender activism. While Booksmith acknowledged the series' formative role for many readers, they urged fans to purchase used copies or explore their curated list of fantasy alternatives. The list includes Jessica Townsend's 'Nevermoor' series, Ursula K. Le Guin's seminal 'Earthsea Cycle' and Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy. Other featured titles include 'Where the Mountain Meets the Moon' by Grace Lin, the 'Tristan Strong' series by Kwame Mbalia, 'Hurricane Child' by Kacen Callender and Rick Riordan's 'The Heroes of Olympus' series.

Hailey Bieber Needs a Break From Justin Bieber for Their Marriage To Work: ‘Sources'
Hailey Bieber is reportedly at her wits' end due to Justin Bieber's behavior, intensifying the divorce rumors. Sources claimed that the mother of one is 'emotionally spent' because of Justin's 'erratic behavior.' Moreover, she has seemingly 'begged' him to leave and 'regroup' privately. The pop singer's recent online activities and disorderly appearances have raised concerns about his well-being. His string of cryptic Instagram messages has also fueled speculation about tensions in his marriage. Star Magazine learned that Hailey Bieber wants some space from Justin Bieber, even though it's 'not a step toward divorce.' A source revealed that she is 'emotionally exhausted' because of Justin's 'ongoing stretch of erratic behavior,' as she remains focused on balancing Rhode's massive success and parenting their son, Jack Blues Bieber. Hailey seemingly 'begged Justin to take some space' to make their marriage work. The insider claimed the 28-year-old model was certain the break wouldn't be 'a step toward divorce.' But they could use this time away from each other 'to regroup somewhere private,' perhaps a place where 'he can go to focus on wellness and self-care.' The source further alleged that Hailey explicitly expressed her uncertainty about 'how much longer she and Justin can keep going' without a break. Speculation of Hailey and Justin Bieber's divorce has been around for months, with each sharing puzzling messages on Instagram. The Rhode founder has seemingly referred to their ongoing marital troubles in a post's caption, writing, 'Lemon drop martinis and therapy all summer long.' She later edited the text, deleting the mention of 'therapy.' Meanwhile, Justin admitted to being in 'transactional relationships' in the thick of split rumors. More recently, the 31-year-old musician made headlines for a heated exchange with paparazzi last week. Hailey, however, defended his actions by supporting a fan's TikTok video, calling out paps and urging them to 'leave Justin alone.' Originally reported by Nikita Mahato on Reality Tea. Justin Bieber Seemingly Shades Critics Mocking Viral Paparazzi Video
seemingly threw shade at critics mocking his 'standing on business' remark from last week's paparazzi video. The confrontation occurred in California last Thursday while he was leaving the Soho House Malibu. Bieber wasn't having it and engaged in a several-minute-long argument with the paps. During the heated exchange, he lectured photographers, 'It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business.' However, it appears he is now in on the joke. Justin Bieber's latest Instagram Stories appeared to take a low-key jab at critics mocking his 'standing on business' paparazzi video. In a series of posts, the pop singer shared three separate close-up selfies with three different songs, addressing the same subject: standing on business. He chose Myia B Music's 'Stand on Business' to accompany the first image. The following included Soulja Rilla's 'Standing on Business,' featuring Trigga500k and Loe Shimmy. Finally, the third photo comprised Fredo Bang's 'Dat Business.' All three songs reiterated the 31-year-old musician's comments from last week while confronting the paps. A clip of the exchange went viral on X (formerly Twitter), as he said, 'I'm a dad, I'm a husband.' Bieber called out the swarming photographers for not 'getting it' and continued lecturing them, 'It's not clocking to you.' He repeated, 'It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business, is it?' Page Six reported that the artist further slammed them for recording 'out of context' videos and provoking him. Justin Bieber's sly reaction to the 'standing on business' paparazzi video on Instagram came days after videos of the interaction surfaced. Following the incident, well-wishers defended his action, including one viral TikTok, which even got Hailey Bieber's support. User Robyn DelMonte, who goes by @girlbosstown, urged the paps to leave Bieber alone and 'put the camera down.' Hailey backed her husband, commenting, 'Exactly.'
