NEET Result 2025: All you need to know about MCC counselling
MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025: The result of the medical entrance test NEET UG 2025 has been announced and the next step for the successful candidates is to apply for the online counselling process. For MBBS and BDS seats, there are two types of counselling – all India quota and state quota. For the all India quota, the NEET UG counselling is carried out by the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC. State counselling is done by the respective state authorities.

Candidates should also know that beyond MBBS and BDS, there are courses like veterinary, life sciences and nursing that they can apply for (at undergraduate level) using the NEET UG score.

MCC NEET UG counselling will be an online process till seat allocation, after which shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted medical colleges to confirm admission.
Last year, the counselling was held in two rounds, followed by a stray vacancy round and a special stray vacancy round.

Free coaching in JEE, NEET to students in government junior colleges in Andhra Pradesh
The State government has planned to roll out targeted support systems, including mentorship and quality coaching, to encourage students from economically weaker sections in government junior colleges to excel in national-level competitive exams. As part of the move, students pursuing MBC and BiPC courses in 1,355 government junior colleges in the State will receive coaching and quality preparation material to prepare for national-level competitive exams like Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), an all-India level entrance exam for engineering courses in India, and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions into medical colleges. Officials in the Department of Higher Education said the free study material on subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics being given to students has been prepared by a team of subject experts drawn from both government and private colleges over a period of six months. To ensure that students benefit from the coaching classes, their college timings have been extended from the usual 9.30 a.m-4 p.m. to 9 a.m-5 p.m. Junior lecturers have been trained to teach the content effectively to students. Weekly tests, performance reviews and tracking the regular progress of students is mandatory for constant and effective monitoring of the learners' performance. 'The initiative is about giving every student a chance to succeed, regardless of their family background. We are creating an environment where every child can dream big and prepare confidently for national-level competitive exams,' said Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh. He said the initiative will benefit over 1 lakh students in the government sector and will help the government bridge the gap between private and government education systems. He said the objective was to create a level playing field and give equal opportunity to all children to hone their skills.

One Mustn't Lose Faith', Says Punjab's Keshav Mittal Who Secured AIR 7 In NEET UG 2025
Last Updated: A native of Tapa Mandi town in Barnala district, Keshav said he always wanted to be a doctor and was inspired by his father, who is also a doctor. Keshav Mittal from Punjab has secured an All India Rank of 7 in the recently released National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG) 2025 exam. A native of Tapa Mandi town in Barnala district, Keshav said he always wanted to be a doctor and was inspired by his father, who is also a doctor. 'My father is also a doctor which aspired me to choose the medical field. Besides, I have always enjoyed studying chemistry and biology. Thus, medical was an obvious choice for me," said the 17-year-old. Not only did he managed to grab a spot in the top 10 in the medical entrance exam, Keshav has been a bright student in school as well. He studied class 10 from Mother Teacher School, Barnala where in he secured 97.6 per cent in the CBSE board exams and completed class 12 from D.M. Public School with an impressive 98 per cent. Talking about his preparation process for NEET 2025, Keshav said, 'I started my preparation process for NEET after class 10 exams. Right after my boards, when I chose my stream, I had in mind I have to crack the exam and started my deciding how to go about. I had a passion for Chemistry and Biology, and balanced school studies with NEET preparations at the same time. Along with notes, I also did self-study on a daily basis after school." He also took coaching classes from Allen. The youngster stated that his hard work has finally paid off and acknowledged the significant contributions of his family, teachers, and friends. His father, who inspired him to take up medical, is himself a doctor. 'One must have faith in himself. It is easy to lose faith and confidence during the preparation journey. But one must keep confidence and with the help and guidance of teachers and parents, they will be able to crack the exam," he told News18. Krishang Joshi bags NEET AIR 3 despite doubts from last year's paper leak
After months of uncertainty and pressure following last year's NEET paper leak, a Class 12 student from Pune has proven that consistency and clarity can overcome doubt. Scoring an All India Rank 3 in NEET UG 2025, he turned challenges into stepping stones. Despite initial fears about the fairness of the exam, he stayed focus on understanding concepts, not just memorising them, made all the difference. With disciplined study hours and strong support, he's now set to join one of India's top medical just 17, Krishang Joshi from Pune secured All India Rank 3 in NEET UG 2025. But his journey wasn't all smooth—especially after last year's paper leak scandal that had shaken students' trust in the system. 'I was hopeful, but I couldn't trust the process after what happened last year,' he admits. The 2024 NEET UG controversy left him uncertain about the fairness of the exam. "The paper was too easy last year, and it felt like a matter of luck," he says. That doubt lingered during his Krishang always believed he'd clear NEET in his first attempt, he never expected a top 3 rank. 'After the exam, I thought maybe top 50, and later hoped for top 10. He remained determined and focused, aiming to become a doctor—regardless of the college tag. 'I just want to be a good doctor. 'AIIMS has a top-notch faculty, skill-building opportunities, and overall holistic growth. It's one of India's best,' says Krishang, who studied at Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), Pune, on a full OF CONCEPTUAL CLARITYLiving away from his family, Krishang followed a rigorous routine. His day began at 9 am with classes and continued into the night with study sessions lasting till 1 am. Yet, he made sure to sleep for at least 6–8 hours. 'It doesn't feel hectic if you enjoy the process,' he asked about the secret to his success, Krishang answers without hesitation—Conceptual Understanding. 'Earlier, I used to just memorise formulas. But then I realised if I understood the concept, I could solve any question.
