Now, the buzz has doubled as Panchayat star, Jitendra Kumar and Laapataa Ladies' Ravi Kishan have officially joined the cast, promising fresh energy and intrigue in a story that has always thrived on unexpected twists and unforgettable characters. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the mahurat puja of the Mirzapur film took place on Thursday, with both Jitendra and Ravi in attendance. While the makers are keeping their roles strictly under wraps, fans are eager to see whether the two actors will step into already-loved characters or bring entirely new faces into the violent world of Purvanchal. A source revealed that look tests and reading sessions have already begun, with Jitendra and Ravi actively participating in pre-production work. The shoot is expected to roll out next month.

The original series, which premiered on Prime Video in 2018, became a cult hit for its gritty storytelling around gang wars, politics, and family rivalries in small-town Uttar Pradesh.
