During the event, HBMSU showcased its cutting-edge research projects, innovative technological solutions, and pioneering contributions to the evolution of smart education by being a part of the summit's 'Academic Area'. The University also highlighted its ongoing strategic efforts to bolster cooperation between academic institutions and security agencies, paving the way for sustainable development of the law enforcement and police sciences.

VIDEO: Sheikh Mohammed receives the G1 robot at his Majlis in Dubai
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday viewed a live demonstration of the new Unitree G1 robot from the Dubai Future Labs. The demonstration was delivered by Dr Ahmad Al Attar, Senior Robotics Engineer, and Maitha Al Qaidi, Robotics Engineer. The robot, which was seen transforming on the streets of Dubai last week, is part of the Museum of the Future's advanced technological innovation system. It is lightweight, has excellent balance, and can walk and run smoothly, mimicking human movement. The G1 robot embodies the next generation of developments in robotics and artificial intelligence. The robot will be used in the Museum of the Future's permanent interactive displays, welcoming visitors and introducing them to the latest developments in robotics technology worldwide. This step reflects Dubai's ongoing commitment to harnessing technology to serve humanity and strengthening its leadership position in shaping the future. Sheikh Mohammed meets with a number of local dignitaries, investors, ministers and heads of public, semi-government, and private sector entities at Al Mudaif Majlis in Union House in Dubai.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed attends G1 robot demonstration
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday attended a live demonstration of the Unitree G1 robot by Dubai Future Labs, a lightweight robot that mimics human movement. It will be featured in the Museum of the Future's interactive displays, welcoming visitors and showcasing advanced technology. The demonstration was conducted during meeting with a number of local dignitaries, investors, ministers and heads of public, semi-government, and private sector entities at Al Mudaif Majlis in Union House in Dubai. During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also attended a lecture titled 'The UAE as a Destination for the World's Wealthy,' delivered by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing. The lecture highlighted the UAE - especially Dubai - as a top destination for investors and entrepreneurs due to its safety, infrastructure, quality of life, and open economy. He noted that over 131,000 wealthy individuals settled in the UAE by 2024, up from 116,000 in 2023, with a further rise expected this year. He added that, driven by visionary leadership, Dubai welcomed 9.88 million visitors in the first half of 2025 and is now seen as the world's top destination to live, work, and visit. During the gathering, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the UAE's continued progress in building a distinctive development model based on openness, competitiveness, and support for entrepreneurship.
