Good hair day! Samantha Armytage continues to show off her stunning style transformation and glow-up as she checks in for a flight at Sydney Airport

Daily Mail19-05-2025
She recently underwent a glamorous makeover ahead of filming for The Golden Bachelor.
And Samantha Armytage is embracing her stunning glow up.
The Channel Nine host turned heads as she strode through Sydney Airport over the weekend.
The TV star, 45, was having a very good hair day, with her blonde locks expertly parted and blow-waved.
Samantha slipped into casual chic flying attire - a pair of baggy jeans, a white T-shirt and an on-trend beige bomber jacket.
She wore some beige and white trainers on her feet and accessorised with large chunky hoop earrings.
She was glowing in minimal makeup - accentuating her features with a light application of foundation and bronzer.
It was unclear what Samantha's destination was, but the star was checking in for an international flight.
It comes after Samantha has been busy with filming for The Golden Bachelor.
Cameras have officially started rolling on the Channel Nine dating show for older, single romantics looking for a second shot at love.
Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed Barry 'Bear' Myrden, a 50-something infrastructure engineer and passionate sailor from Sydney, has been handpicked as the leading man for the upcoming Australian adaptation.
In exclusive pictures, Barry was seen filming the show in Sydney in March, and his cast of leading ladies have since been spotted arriving at the Sydney mansion where filming will take place.
Barry, a father-of-three and a respected professional in the tech industry, currently works in Data Centre Management for Woolworths Group.
With decades of experience in his field, he has held senior roles at major companies like Macquarie Bank and the NSW Port Authority.
But while his career has flourished, sources close to Daily Mail Australia revealed his personal journey has been marked by tragedy as Barry is is widowed.
'Bear is always complaining that his boys are saying that he is bringing around the wrong kind of girls that are just too young and hot for him,' one friend revealed.
'We were always saying that he needs to be put on a show like MAFS, so seeing him up for the Bachelor role is no surprise.'
Despite his corporate background, Barry is far from your typical office-bound executive.
A passionate sailor, he has competed in high-profile races like the Sydney to Hobart.
In one photo captured during one of his recent sailing ventures, Barry looked handsome and rugged as he manned a yacht.
Unlike The Bachelor and The Bachelorette which feature young men and women, the Golden Bachelor is targeted at a more mature audience eager to watch how those who have already experienced great love and loss are chasing companionship in their next chapter.
'Bear is not your usual reality TV type,' an insider told Daily Mail Australia.
'He's charming, intelligent and has really lived a full life. He's been through love, loss and now he's ready to open his heart again. Women are going to adore him.'
Local fans of the The Golden Bachelor have been calling for an Australian version since the US version premiered last year to critical acclaim.
Producers are keeping tight-lipped about the contestants vying for Barry's heart, but if the US series is anything to go by the show promises to deliver a mix of heartwarming moments, deep connections and unexpected twists.

Clip of glam Sydney Sweeney expertly shooting targets goes viral as her ‘secret MAGA life' emerges after anti-woke ad

A CLIP of Sydney Sweeney blasting targets at a shooting range has gone viral - as she's adopted by the MAGA movement and praised by Trump. The video resurfaced after President Trump heaped praise on the actress's "anti-woke" American Eagle jeans advert and she was revealed to be a registered Republican. 9 A clip of Sydney Sweeney practicing at a firing range has resurfaced in light of the revelation of her Republican leanings Credit: instagram/@sydney_sweeney/ 9 Sydney had never revealed how she voted, though people are now seeing clues from over the years Credit: Instagram 9 Sydney Sweeney is the star of American Eagle's latest, controversial ad campaign Credit: American Eagle The clip from 2019 shows a younger Sydney expertly burying rounds into a series of human-shaped dummies at the firing range. She appears well-practiced, skilfully banging two bullets into each in quick succession without so much as a flinch. At the end, she flashes a smile to the camera and holsters the weapon. Since Sydney starred in the controversial American Eagle jeans ad, clues that point to her living a secret MAGA life have emerged. The 27-year-old grew up in a small, Catholic, Trump-supporting town in Washington with her father, mother and younger brother Trent - and has previously said she had a "religious" upbringing. After accepting her breakout Euphoria role, Sydney revealed she had been nervous about how her community would react. She told Stylecaster in 2021: "What's crazy - and this is going to sound really bad- is when I first got sent the audition, I was too nervous to go do it. "I grew up in a smaller town with my family, who are a little more conservative, and I was like: 'They're going to kill me if I do something like this.'" A surprise party she threw for her mom's 60th birthday drew considerable attention when pics were shared of the guests wearing MAGA-style hats and "Blue Lives Matter" shirts. And now, she has starred in the American Eagle ad which has seriously riled voices on the left, who claim it promotes a racial ideal, but delighted the right who hail it as the "end of woke advertising". Trump pours praise on Sydney Sweedy amid 'good jeans' American Eagle ad storm as her voter registration revealed The ad makes a play on the words "jeans" and "genes" - and the main tagline is "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans". It's been claimed that the promotion of Sydney's blonde hair and blue eye traits suggests they are superior to alternative genes. Sydney hasn't publicly commented on the furore stirred up by the ad, but made her first appearance at a screening of her upcoming film "Americana" on Monday. She was heckled by a fan who shouted: "Stop the ad, that is being racist," according to TMZ. 9 Sydney flashes a smile after smashing it at the firing range Credit: instagram/@sydney_sweeney/ 9 Sydney sweeney caused controversy by posting Maga-themed pics from from her mom's 60th Credit: Instagram 9 Sydney Sweeney is most famous for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus Credit: Instagram However, she got into her vehicle without responding. American Eagle defended its advertisement, but removed the video from its social media accounts. It then emerged over the weekend that the actress has been a registered Republican since June 2024 - and she soon received praise right from the top. President Trump was delighted when a reporter told him about Sydney's political leanings, and promptly declared that he "loves" her "fantastic" ad. He said on Sunday night: "That's one I wouldn't have known but I'm glad you told me that. 9 Trump's Truth Social post on Monday, where he doubled down on his support for Sydney Sweeney Credit: X 9 Sydney Sweeney was revealed to be a registered Republican since June 2024 Credit: Getty 9 The ad's tagline 'Sydney Sweeney had great jeans' ignited major controversy Credit: American Eagle 'If Sydney Sweeny is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.' Trump then doubled down on his enthusiastic support and cemented the American Eagle ad as a bastion of the "anti-woke" agenda. He declared in a Monday morning Truth Social post that the campaign is "the HOTTEST" and went on to slam "woke" companies like "stupid" Jaguar and Bud Light for their own advertising. Jaguar recently put out an ad with models dressed in brightly-coloured, flamboyant clothing - but no cars or the brand's logo. Trump insisted the British manufacturer, whose CEO resigned on last week, should have learned from Bug Light - which suffered a boycott and major losses after an advert featuring a transgender influencer. The President's conclusion: "Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be."

Lindsay Lohan shows off her line-free visage and trim pins in daring sheer frock alongside Jamie Lee Curtis at Freakier Friday premiere in Sydney

Lindsay Lohan arrived Down Under on Monday for the Sydney premiere of her new movie, Freakier Friday. And on Tuesday night, the American actress, 39, was looking fresh-faced and line-free as she stepped onto the red carpet alongside her co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis. Opting for a racy black evening gown with sheer skirting, Lindsay flashed her trim pins through the see-through fabric. She carried a $2,235 AUD gold Fortune Minaudiere bag in an unusual fortune cookie shape. For makeup, Lindsay chose a porcelain base with rosy blush and a soft pink lipstick, while wearing her blonde locks down in soft waves. The star finished her ensemble with a delicate diamond necklace and matching, dangling earrings. Jamie, 66, was also looking much younger than her 66 years as she posed beside Lindsay against the media wall. The veteran actress stunned in a semi-sheer maxi dress that skimmed her impressive figure. She added a pair of nude, suede heels and kept her accessories light, wearing a pair of glistening baguette earrings. For makeup, Jamie went for a clean look with lots of highlighter and a pink lip gloss, while wearing her trademark pixie haircut softly spiked. In 2003, Jamie Lee and Lindsay starred in the smash hit comedy, Freaky Friday. which sees the two characters switch bodies, with hilarity ensuing. Fans had long hoped for a sequel to the iconic comedy but had an agonising wait, as Freakier Friday is only now hitting cinemas - over two decades on from the original. Jamie Lee has revealed why there was such a long gap between the two releases as she admitted she has long had her eye on a follow-up movie. Appearing on The One Show, Jamie revealed they had to wait until Lindsay was old enough to have a teenage child for the sequel premise to work. For makeup, Lindsay chose a porcelain base with rosy blush and a soft pink lipstick 'The truth is that Lindsay had to be old enough to have a 15-year-old daughter, people would ask me about the movie over and over again,' she shared. 'And finally someone in Australia said, "well she is" and I was like "what do you mean?" because I know her as this young girl, so I don't know how old she is. 'Someone told me and I was, like, "Oh! Well maybe we can make the movie. Let's go!"' Lindsay was just 15 years old when she first portrayed Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday alongside Jamie Lee, who played her on-screen mother Tess Coleman. It follows the bickering mother and daughter after a Chinese restaurant fortune cookie mishap causes them to switch bodies, forcing them to live the other's life. Despite barely having been able to see eye-to-eye, the magical switch eventually allows them to see things from the other's point of view. The sequel will see the iconic pairing switch places once again, though this time there is quadruple chaos in store. Also turning heads at the premiere on Tuesday night was fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow who showed off her surgically-enhanced figure in a flowing white gown. Former reality star Bella Varelis chose a fun and flirty retro ensemble including a sheer, feathered top and boot-cut trousers. American actress Ione Skye stunned in a red mini dress as she made it a date night with her Aussie musician husband Ben Lee. Love Island Australia star Rachael Evren opted for all black, pairing her coat and mini skirt with black tights, over which she wore white socks and matching heels. Actor Ash Hodgkinson stood out from the pack in a blue ensemble consisting of a frayed, double denim. Freakier Friday hits Australian cinemas on August 7.

I ditched the UK for Australia & I'd never return – I work less hours for more money & see dolphins on my morning walk

A MAN has revealed that he will likely never return to the UK, after upping sticks and moving to Australia. In February, Lewy and his partner made the bold decision to relocate to Adelaide, after becoming sick of the " miserable weather and negative people". 2 2 The couple describe themselves as "normal people" without much money, said they were able to move to a "stunning" neighbourhood, that "wasn't expensive". Lewy said that it had been their dream for 10 years to live in Aus, and added that his and his partner's life has greatly improved since ditching the British Isles. "It's highly likely that we will never live in the UK again because it cannot offer us the life we've got now", he said in a video posted to his TiKTok channel @lewyp23. Lewy revealed that he is no longer "overworked" and "stressed" and is paid more for his job in Australia than he was in the UK. He added that the cost of living in Adelaide is much cheaper than it was for him back home, and that the people seem so much happier and fulfilled. The TikToker claims that he would have to earn a whopping £150,000 a year to have the same quality of life in the UK as he does in Adelaide on his "average" wage, and added that he wouldn't even move back to the UK if someone gave him £50,000. Lewy now lives just three minutes walks from the beach, and as soon as they finish work, he and his partner take their dog out for sunny seaside walks. He has even spotted pods of dolphins during his beach walks, which he said always leave him in "disbelief". Even in winter, the weather in Adelaide is warm and sunny, meaning that Lewy and his partner can have year round fun, without spending a penny. "You don't realise how much the weather affects you until you move to a nice place", he said. I fled the UK for sunny Dubai - life back home is miserable & no-one has any cash "We're happier, it's just fantastic." Another thing that Lewy loves about his life in Adelaide is the lack of crime. "It's safer her in Australia, you see a lot less nastiness." He added that he and his partner now do lots more on the weekends, and are able to be so much more social, as they are no longer stressed. How easy is it to move abroad? Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving: Notify HMRC about your upcoming move. Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address. Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving. If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad - contact the International Pension Centre. You can sign up to the Royal Mail's redirection service. If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre. If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools. He described the supermarkets, which are packed full of fresh fruit and veg as being "incredible" and said that older people look much more youthful and full of life. Lewy is urging others to follow in his footsteps and ditch the "miserable" UK. He said that anyone under 35 can easily get a working holiday visa, and added that the country is especially looking for tradesmen. He said: "Why are you waiting to get out of that horrible place when you've got this waiting for you? "The people are really lovely and you've got a life waiting for you with way less stress." "You get one go at life, you have to take risks"
