Kerry change over a third of their team for Munster SFC Final against Clare
Keeper Shane Ryan misses out entirely on the match-day squad due to the gash to his knee he suffered in that game. Dr Crokes' Shane Murphy comes in as a straight replacement, with Beaufort's Seán Coffey stepping up to the understudy's role.
In defence the Kerry management has made two changes, albeit more from a position of strength as they've been able to welcome back Tom O'Sullivan (who slots in at corner-back in his traditional number 4 shirt) and Mike Breen from injury and illness.
Austin Stacks defender Dylan Casey retains his place in the starting fifteen, despite O'Sullivan's return, moving from number 4 to number 2 in place of the injured Paul Murphy of Rathmore.
Breen takes the place of Tadhg Morley who came into the side for the game against the Rebels in his absence. Breen, who had pretty much nailed down that position over the course of the National League, reclaiming it at first time of asking.
The most radical surgery to the side is to the half-forward line, which is entirely different to what started against Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Paudie Clifford's suspension robs the Kingdom of their best player so far this season, but Seán O'Shea getting a first championship start is a very replacement to be able to call upon at number 11
At number 10 Ruairí Murphy, who didn't last the full seventy minutes on Leeside, is replaced by Tony Brosnan, while Micheál Burns comes into the side at number 12 in place of the injured Graham O'Sullivan.
The full-forward line remains unchanged, as does midfield which sees Joe O'Connor line out alongside Barry 'Dan' O'Sullivan in the continuing absence of Na Gaeil's Diarmuid O'Connor through injury.
Amongst the replacements Cathal Ó Beaglaoich of An Ghaeltacht (a midfielder), Keith Evans of Keel (a half-forward) and Cillian Trant of St Senans (another half-forward) also step up.
Jack O'Connor has named a squad of 29 for Sunday, instead of the usual match-day 26.

Kerry make five changes to team to face Meath in final All-Ireland SFC Group 2 game
It was well known that Paudie Clifford, Paul Geaney, Barry Dan O'Sullivan and Diarmuid O'Connor would not be available for this game, with all four receiving treatment for specific injuries, and none of that quartet are included in the match day squad to face the Royal county in O'Connor Park. Clifford, Geaney and O'Sullivan all started the game against Cork but none of them played into the second half, while O'Connor wasn't part of the squad in Pairc Uí Chaoimh, with a groin injury given as the reason for his absence. There are two other changes for Saturday's encounter with Meath, with Dylan Casey and Brian Ó Beaglaoich not retaining their starting places in defence, and they are replaced by Paul Murphy and Tadhg Morley respectively. Casey is named among the substitutes, which suggests his dropping to the bench is tactical, but Ó Beaglaoich is not on the named squad, which could indicate an injury issue. Dara Moynihan is also named on the match day squad for the first time this year. The Spa club man hasn't played with Kerry since last year's All-Ireland semi-final loss to Armagh, having spent the best part of the last year rehabbing a serious injury. As expected, Mark O'Shea comes into at midfield for Barry Dan O'Sullivan, whose knee injury is a serious one, and threatening to end his involvement for the result of the season. Killian Spillane and Dylan Geaney are also handed starts in place of Paudie Clifford and Paul Geaney, with some positional shuffling in the forward unit. Micheal Burns moves back out to the half forward line alongside Graham O'Sullivan and Sean O'Shea, who takes the no.11 jersey. Spillane is named at full forward, in a direct switch for Paul Geaney, whom he replaced at half time against Cork. Dylan Geaney is recalled to the starting 15 in place, and will start in one corner, with David Clifford in the other. A win or a draw for Kerry will secure top spot in Group 2 and send the Kingdom straight to the All-Ireland quarter-finals a fortnight later. A win for Meath would see them finish top of the group and consign Kerry to a preliminary quarter-final with home advantage as second place finishers. EFL reveals never-before-seen change to Carabao Cup format with teams required to QUALIFY for main draw
THE EFL have introduced a preliminary round for the Carabao Cup for the first time. Nine Premier League teams competing in Europe mean the cup has to be restructured this season. 1 The Carabao Cup has undergone a shake up Credit: Getty A preliminary round will take place before the first round, consisting of four teams. They include the two teams promoted from the National League last season, Barnet and Oldham, as well as Accrington Stanley and Newport County, who finished in the lowest two spots in the EFL. The preliminary draw and the first round draw will be held on the same day - Thursday June 26. The four League Two sides will face off in the preliminary round week commencing August 4 - a week before the rest of the competition kicks off. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL A preliminary round will get rid of two teams from the tournament, thus reducing the number of teams in round one and two. That will allow each Prem club that is competing in Europe to feature in round three. Round three will also be split across two weeks, commencing September 15 and September 22 - just as it did last season.
