Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Megxit conversation 'years before' family told

Daily Record2 days ago
A private conversation between the Sussexes has been decoded by lip readers who claim it gives a bombshell insight on their plot to quit the Royal Family
A private chat between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been interpreted by lip readers. It supposedly reveals a telling exchange that has led to speculation they were considering their departure from the Royal Family long before their US move.

The discreet conversation took place at a service of remembrance at Westminster Abbey in 2018, six months following their lavish wedding at Windsor Castle. The Sussexes were in attendance alongside the full royal clan, including the late Queen Elizabeth II.

New Channel 5 documentary, Lip-Reading The Royals: The Secret Conversations, delves into this moment as Harry and Meghan sat awaiting the start of the ceremony, engaging in what appeared to be a significant conversation.

Lip reading specialist Nicola Hickling analysed the exchange for the show, suggesting Meghan prompted Harry to "take advantage of the situation", her gaze then sweeping over the gathering of royals as reported by the Mirror.
She says Harry responded to her comment by asking: "Today?", as Meghan added: "Do it tonight." Then, Harry poses a question to Meghan, asking: "You do realise that this is the end?" as Meghan responds: "Yeah, I do know".

Royal historian Dr Tessa Dunlop has suggested that these seemingly private remarks between the Sussexes could indicate that the pair had been orchestrating their departure from the firm years before they ultimately chose to step down.
Despite having the exchange towards the end of 2018, they welcomed first child Prince Archie six months after. They continued working their senior royal duties for another eight months following his birth.
Harry and Meghan confirmed their departure from the Royal Family in January 2020, releasing a joint statement on Instagram announcing they would be "taking a step back" as senior working royals, whilst noting they would "plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America".

Their announcement also stated that departing the Royal family and moving to California would provide them with the chance to bring up their son Archie "with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter."
Previously in the couple's Netflix series, Harry confessed they had been preparing the bombshell relocation from the UK for "a minimum of two years".

In 2018, Harry revealed that they had considered relocating to New Zealand or South Africa and were close to moving to South Africa before the press heard rumours of it.
However, Harry stated that they had to abandon the plan as it turned into a "public debate", leading them to urgently seek a new residence while staying in Canada in January 2020.

Now five years on after their split from the Royal Family, there's speculation about potential reconciliation talks between Prince Harry and his father King Charles. Top aides for both royals were seen engaging in discussions at a private club in London.
This encounter has sparked curiosity over whether the aides were arranging a meeting between the King and Harry for his anticipated visit to the UK in September. Notably absent from the discussions were any representatives for Prince William, who is known to have a strained relationship with his brother.
Harry has recently expressed a wish to mend fences with his family, stating in a candid BBC interview in May that he "would love a reconciliation" with the King and William. He confessed to being weary of conflict and voiced concerns about Charles' wellbeing, saying he "did not know how much longer [his] father has."
In the same interview, the Duke also mentioned: "I would like to get my father and brother back."

Billy Joel reveals significant health update following brain condition diagnosis

Billy Joel has shared an update of his health with fans after cancelling his UK tour following a brain disorder diagnosis Billy Joel has opened up about his health following the revelation that he's been diagnosed with a brain related condition. The 76 year old singer-songwriter provided an update during a recent podcast appearance, where he discussed one of the symptoms he's currently experiencing. ‌ Earlier this year, Billy revealed he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus. According to the NHS, it's considered 'uncommon' and typically impacts people over the age of 60 and symptoms can include issues with mobility and signs of dementia. ‌ Grammy Award winner Billy has given an update on his health in a newly released podcast episode. Appearing as a guest on the latest instalment of the Club Random podcast, Billy told host Bill Maher that he's feeling "fine," the Mirror reports. ‌ Podcast host Bill brought up the musician's new HBO documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, which launched last week. He said: "I learned so much about you. First of all, your health. I mean, all your fans want to know ... you had something. Did we fix it?" Addressing the question, Billy stated: "It's not fixed, it's still being worked on." After the host remarked that he "looks good" and "sounds good," Billy responded about his condition: "I feel fine. My balance sucks - it's like being on a boat." ‌ Billy said that his condition, normal pressure hydrocephalus, was once known as "water on the brain." When asked what causes it, he said: "Nobody knows. They don't know." He added: "I thought it must be from drinking." Billy then revealed that he doesn't drink "anymore," adding: "But I used to, like a fish." He continued: "I feel good. They keep referring to what I have as a brain disorder, so it sounds a lot worse than what I'm feeling, y'know." ‌ It was announced in March that Billy had to postpone some of his concerts due to a medical condition that wasn't disclosed at the time. He had been due to perform at venues across the UK including Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on his latest tour. A statement issued at the time read: ""[Billy's] upcoming concert dates will be rescheduled due to a medical condition. The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors." ‌ Billy, who was "expected to make a full recovery," expressed his regret in his own statement included in the announcement. He said: "While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding." Two months later, it was revealed that he would be cancelling all scheduled gigs due to a 'recent' diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), as it was said that the gig had "exacerbated" the condition. ‌ At the time, a statement read: "This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance. Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period." It continued: "Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritising his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage." In a statement released at the time, Billy offered an apology to his fans. He said:"I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding."

Noel Gallagher takes brutal swipe at Royal Family during Oasis hometown show

Noel Gallagher has taken aim at the Royal Family during the closing night of Oasis' residency at Manchester's Heaton Park over the weekend Noel Gallagher took a swipe at the Royal Family while performing at Oasis' closing night of their Manchester residency. The singer-songwriter, 58, has just completed five dates at Manchester's Heaton Park with Oasis, after burning the hatchet with his younger brother, Liam Gallagher, 52. Each night, the once-warring brothers performed to a sold-out crowd of 80,000 fans, who had never imagined that Oasis would reunite again. The mega-group split in 2009 after Noel said he couldn't work with his brother for a day longer. But while those in attendance appeared to be in high spirits, Noel used his solo slot to make his feelings very clear. At the first Heaton Park show, he dedicated the track Half The World Away to the late Caroline Aherne, famed for playing Denise in The Royle Family, which the song is also the soundtrack to. On Sunday, however, Noel didn't hold back when it came to sharing what he wanted to say. As he started playing the track, he said: "This one, for the Royal Family," which the audience appeared to lap up as they let out loud cheers. "Not that f***ing Royal Family! The real Royle Family," he added, in a clip which is being shared on TikTok, as the crowd let out a louder cheer, before he started performing the moving track. This isn't the first time Noel has spoken about the royals. In 2022, ahead of the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, he said he wasn't "anti-royal" but believed the "appeal" of the Firm had been "dwindling." "There are other things for people to be interested in," he commented, before branding the monarchy as "a bit farcical." He said: "I'm not like anti-royal or anything. I don't hate the Queen or none of them; they were all born into it." Oasis: What's Their Story? An unofficial celebration magazine on sale now! A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! Meanwhile, Liam also made light of a recent situation which has gone viral on social media after Coldplay singer Chris Martin appeared to catch Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, and the company's head of HR, Kristin Cabot, in an intimate embrace before they tried to hide their face. "This one's for all you love birds... Don't worry, we don't have a camera, it's not a Coldplay moment," he joked, before adding: "It's none of our business who you're with - doesn't matter who you're tingling with, mingling with and ******* with," before he started performing Slide Away. Following the five sold-out shows in Manchester and the two opening gigs in Cardiff, Oasis are now preparing to headline Wembley Stadium. They'll play a staggering seven nights at the home of England football after the initial five shows sold-out almost instantly. Oasis last played at Wembley Stadium on July 12, 2009, as part of their Dig Out Your Soul Tour. It became one of their final performances before they split in Paris later in the year. The band have a varied history with the venue, with Noel previously describing a 2000 gig as one of their 'worst ever.' "That was the low point in Oasis," he said. "It was a horrible two-and-a-half hours on stage. Liam can hang his head in shame. It was dreadful," he added. viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
