A Lilo and Stitch star has died just weeks after his big screen debut with heartbroken tributes pouring in.
Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell sadly passed away with his sister Jalene Kanani Bell, announcing the shocking news in a heartbreaking post on Facebook.
She said: 'It is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant and handsome little brother David H. K. Bell will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father.
'I've been waiting for the words and mindset to properly express the joy of a human, and Prince of a Man he was, but fate pushed my hand this morning by a pre-scheduled Father's Day newsletter honouring the men in our lives.
'He was and will remain a bright and shining star. He recently made it on to the big screen with an iconic Lilo & Stitch moment.'
Bell was credited in the Lilo & Stitch live-action adaptation as the character 'Big Hawaiian Dude.'
His cause of death has not yet been revealed. But his sister revealed that Bell treated the family to a screening of the live-action show after its release just weeks ago.
She added: 'He planned ahead and purchased the best seats in the house for us all to go together to opening night in Kapolei just two short weeks ago.
'Hug your loved ones today … our last time together after returning home from the movie was just sitting on my living room couch talking story about life, having a seltzer and doing a little genealogy.
'Blessed by this and all the big and small moments.
'I will keep our memories alive.'
The actor's representative, Lashauna Downie, told TMZ that she only learned of Bell's passing through social media.
She called Bell a 'gentle giant' and called his passing both 'heartbreaking' and 'sad.'
'I am learning like you through social media,' Downie told the outlet. 'This is heartbreaking & sad.
'He was one of my best talent & embodied the true meaning of aloha … a gentle giant.'
Proud Hawaiian Bell was known locally for his voice work over the P.A. system at Kona Airport.
Bell previously starred in TV shows such as Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0.
Tributes from fans have poured in on social media since Bell's passing.
One wrote: 'So sad! What a loss for his family, friends and fans.'
Another said: 'RIP young star.'

The high-voltage row over an AC/DC tribute

Ping! An email detonates in CBD's inbox with a sensational claim about a plan for civic enhancement paying tribute to esteemed rockers AC/DC: 'The City of Melbourne stole my idea for a Long Way to the Top parade and didn't credit me.' We wondered if we had the journalistic fettle to prosecute such a pointed J'accuse! Let's find out. For those who came late: February 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the filming on Swanston Street of the iconic AC/DC music video clip It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll) for the ABC TV program Countdown. Industrial advocate Joel O'Connor sent us a strongly worded email telling us how he approached the council months ago with an idea to stage a Moomba-style parade in celebration of the rock landmark, only to find after a period of unsatisfactory correspondence the idea popping up with no warning in a Herald Sun article complete with glowing quotes from Lord Mayor Nick Reece. And on Tuesday Reece staged a presser drumming up support for the idea (see what we did there?) with Cherry Bar owner and former 'night mayor' of Melbourne James Young. 'Personally, the thing I loathe most is when a beautiful thing gets muddied by disrespect and self-interest,' O'Connor wrote to us, but our call to him as well as Young's willingness to champion his idea, appears to have had a soothing effect. 'The article came out without any acknowledgement. Hopefully that is turning around today,' O'Connor told CBD. 'I am hoping to get out of it an acknowledgement that I came up with the idea and hope to be able to participate in the event with my son.' O'Connor is a single dad to a seven-year-old who worships AC/DC's Angus Young.

‘Penetration': Barbra Streisand's wild celeb confession

Barbra Streisand had a wild answer when pressed on whether she and her longtime pal Warren Beatty ever slept together during their rumoured fling in the '70s. The A Star Is Born actress and singer, 83, opened up about the NSFW matter during an interview with The New Yorker published recently, while discussing a similar anecdote she shared in her 2023 tell-all My Name Is Barbra. 'I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can't remember if we actually had penetration,' she claimed, per the New York Post. 'I swear to God, I can't. There are certain things I block out.' However, Streisand quickly moved away from the topic when the interviewer pressed her further about whether or not she ever slept with the Dick Tracy star, 88. 'But I know we're still friends,' she said, changing the subject. 'Every year on my birthday, he calls me and we have a wonderful talk about our lives, our children, and so forth.' 'So we're still friends,' Streisand added. 'I met him when I was fifteen years old, and he was twenty-one, I think.' In My Name Is Barbra, the star recalled first meeting Beatty at the Clinton Playhouse in Connecticut when she was 16 and he was 21. She described Beatty as 'tall with movie-star looks' and wrote that 'women were already falling at his feet.' Streisand also wrote about an interview she gave Playboy in 1977 in which the reporter asked whether she was ever 'romantically linked' with the Bonnie and Clyde actor. 'I said blithely, 'One of my flings,'' she responded, according to her memoir. 'I was just tossing off a reply, playing the role of a jaded woman of the world.' Still, while Streisand and Beatty 'go back a long way,' she also admitted that there is 'some water under that bridge.' 'Recently, we were on the phone talking politics and who knows what else when he said, 'I remember why we broke up,'' Streisand wrote. 'I said, 'When were we together?'' After hanging up the phone and asking herself if she and Beatty ever slept together, Streisand admitted that they 'probably' did. 'I kind of remember. I guess I did,' she wrote. 'Probably once.' Whether they slept together or not, Streisand and Beatty have remained 'friends for life' since first meeting in Connecticut almost 70 years ago. They also each ended up with the loves of their lives, because Streisand went on to marry actor James Brolin, 84, in 1998, while Beatty married actress Annette Bening, 67, in 1992. Brolin recently opened up about the secret to his and the Way We Were singer's nearly 30-year marriage. 'The best investment we've ever made is our mattress,' he told the US Today show in April. 'And don't misunderstand me,' Brolin added. 'We're both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.'

Spice Girl Geri Halliwell walks the F1 The Movie red carpet with her racing boss husband

Geri Halliwell-Horner has returned her Formula 1 husband Christian to the grid – her Instagram one, rather than the motor racing grid. The Spice Girl beamed in photos alongside her Red Bull Racing boss beau as they walked the red carpet at the F1 The Movie premiere in New York's Time Square. Channelling Marilyn Monroe in her white halter-neck dress, Halliwell-Horner looked particularly happy to be snapped alongside the film's star, Brad Pitt. She also shared a photo of them chatting to Irish actress Kerry Condon, one of Pitt's co-stars in the blockbuster film which opens next week. Pitt earlier walked the red carpet with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, a couple of days after sharing a double-date dinner with another celebrity couple du jour, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid. The movie, executive-produced by Hollywood blockbuster king Jerry Bruckheimer – alongside Pitt and champion driver Lewis Hamilton – is expected to a global smash in the wake of the phenomenal success of the Netflix series Drive To Survive. The Horners made the rare appearance on each other's social media channels in the wake of a texting scandal which tested their marriage in March last year. Horner was cleared of any inappropriate behaviour involving a female colleague after an extensive external investigation. The last time the Spice Girl and author shared a photo of them together on her Instagram grid was six months ago, when she accompanied her husband to Buckingham Palace to receive his Commander of the British Empire honour. 'As a family, we are all incredibly proud of everything you have achieved in your 20 years at Red Bull Racing and I know the team feel the same,' she wrote at the time. 'You are a leader, an innovator and a pathfinder and this distinction is a reflection of your dedication and services to motorsport.' The singer turned author recently celebrated the success of her latest young adult novel Rosie Frost: Ice on Fire, which topped bestseller lists around the world. Her promotional tour for the book was hijacked by desperate speculation that the Spice Girls may be planning another reunion next year to mark the 30th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe.
