2025 NASCAR Odds: Ryan Blaney Favorite To Win Quaker State 400
The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Atlanta this weekend for the Quaker State 400.
And when it comes to the odds, bettors can dive into that action and place wagers on which driver they think has what it takes to win outright.
Last week at Pocono, Denny Hamlin closed as the favorite. But ultimately Chase Briscoe got into victory lane after closing at +2200.
This week, Ryan Blaney is the current favorite at +800, but Joey Logano's not too far behind at +850. So which driver takes the checkered flag this weekend?

Marlins top Giants 12-5 to complete series sweep
Kyle Stowers and Agustín Ramírez each homered and the Miami Marlins beat the San Francisco Giants 12-5 on Thursday to complete a three-game series sweep. Xavier Edwards had a two-run double for Miami, which has won four straight overall, five of six, and six straight on the road. Rafael Devers had three hits including a homer and a double for San Francisco, which has lost eight of its last 11. Devers' homer was his 17th and his second in nine games since being acquired by San Francisco last week. The Marlins broke a 5-5 tie in the fifth on Eric Wagaman's two-run double in a three-run inning. Stowers hit a three-run homer in the first and Ramírez hit a two-run shot in the third — both off Giants starter Hayden Birdsong — to give Miami a 5-0 lead. Devers hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the third, and the Giants tied it in the fourth when June Hoo Lee's leadoff triple keyed a three-run inning. Birdsong (3-2) allowed seven runs and four hits with four walks in four-plus innings. Josh Simpson (1-0) got the last out of the fourth after Janson Junk allowed five runs and eight hits in 3 2/3 innings. Key moment Marlins manager Clayton McCullough was ejected after umpires warned both benches in the top of the first after Miami shortstop Otto Lopez was hit by a pitch. The warnings followed three Giants players being struck by pitches Wednesday night in a 10-inning 8-5 loss to Miami. Key stat Devers got his 700th career RBI. Up next Marlins RHP Eury Pérez (0-2, 6.17 ERA) will pitch the series opener Friday night against the Diamondbacks RHP Merrill Kelly (7-3, 3.39) in Arizona. Giants RHP Landen Roupp (5-5, 3.67) will pitch for the Giants against the White Sox RHP Aaron Civale (1-4, 5.03) in Chicago.

Mamardashvili will now be looking to compete with Alisson for the no.1 spot, meanwhile behind them the Reds have recruited Armin Pecsi, who is one of the highest rated young goalkeepers in Europe as the club's third choice goalkeeper. Pecsi has played over 50 games for Puskas Akademia in Hungary and is only 20-years-old. He comes as a Golden Boy nominee, and is currently ranked second among goalkeepers for the prestigious award. With Vitezslav Jaros going on loan to Ajax, there is the potential for the Reds to have another really exciting goalkeeper in a few years time as well. On top of that, there are high hopes about Kornel Misciur, who has produced some fantastic performances at academy level over the course of the last season. But that doesn't mean there is no room for investment. Last summer Liverpool were interested in Anthony Patterson of Sunderland, who led the English club back to the Premier League during the 2024/25 campaign. A move for Patterson never materialised last year but Liverpool must still keep him on their radar considering he has been brilliant in the Championship. And now there may be a door opening for the club to sign the talented young goalkeeper.

Davis firefighter heads to world games, spotlights first responder mental health
Every two years, heroes are heralded on a global stage at the World Police and Fire Games, where thousands of athletes come together in competition and community. The games are an Olympic-style multi-sport event featuring dozens of sports that host active and retired first responders at sites across the world. This year, the competition is stateside in Birmingham, Alabama. Local Davis firefighter Bryan ten Bosch is making his third trip out to the games this week. "It's like a full Olympics, it's changed locations. The first time I ever went was Rotterdam in The Netherlands," said Bosch, who has also competed in Winnipeg, Canada. Bosch competes in the decathlon, made up of ten track and field events, and won his first two appearances at the game in his age group. "It's really cool because everybody kind of pulls on each other to get to the end of those ten events," said Bosch. "We're all connected by the same kind of job profession, first responders but we all have different kind of motivations." Traveling to the competition every two years provides a sense of community and a chance to connect. "Supporting each other. At the end we can go to the athlete village, hang out, talk about our experiences on the job, what the world's like," said Bosch. "We're all connected by the same kind of job profession, first responders but we all have different kind of motivations." Bosch's mission at the games is to spotlight mental health for first responders, highlighting his own journey of healing from darker days on the job. "I had a window where I ended up burning out, I didn't like the job, I didn't like the work I was doing. I wasn't taking care of myself physically, mentally," said Bosch. In 2019, Bosch was at the scene the moment that fallen Davis police officer Natalie Corona was shot and killed in the line of duty. "Everybody that was there on scene that day kind of had to deal with it and cope with it in their own ways," said Bosch. The traumatic incident for Bosch sparked a mental health spiral that was only healed only when he rediscovered his love for track and field and prioritized his physical and mental health. "It's a community, it takes a village to take care of each other," said Bosch. "There's a lot of flavors of trauma out there and sometimes one solution doesn't fix all of them. There's all these different treatments out there now, all these resources for first responders to get the help they need. I utilized it then and utilize it now." That's what he wants to spotlight for his fellow first responders, especially as he works to cross the finish line again at the world games. "The common denominator I've found in people that have started taking care of themselves is they've started taking care of themselves physically. It's amazing what taking care of the physical does for the mental," said Bosch. Bosch each year also raises money for a Yolo County charity. For the most recent games, his charity of choice was Officer Natalie Corona's memorial scholarship. This year, Bosch is supporting local animal rescue Hearts for Paws. Bosch has organized an online fundraiser to support his trip and charities.
