Dubai ranked in top 10 global nightlife cities

Dubai has officially been crowned one of the world's top nightlife cities, according to a global survey. Thousands of people answered a global Time Out HQ survey about their favourite places for a night out in hundreds of the world's buzziest cities. And Dubai has placed neatly at number nine on the list, thanks to its extensive offering of nightclubs, speakeasies and beach clubs. A massive 83 percent of locals in the global survey viewed Dubai's nightlife favourably, and it's comfortably the safest place to have a good time in the final ranking, with 75 percent of locals describing the emirate as such. (Credit: Honeycomb-HiFi) Time Out Dubai hosts an annual nightlife awards ceremony, highlighting everything from the best places to go for a pint to top places to dance into the wee hours. Yousra Zaki, the food and drink editor of Time Out GCC, outlines exactly why Dubai is one of the best nightlife cities in the world right now. She said: 'Dubai's nightlife scene is easily one of the most diverse on the planet. While it was once all about superclubs, more and more locals are spending their evenings at curated listening bars and beach clubs. 'Legacy nightclubs like Soho Garden are still pulling in the crowds, but the real energy is in the underground scene. 'In Business Bay, Honeycomb Hi-Fi – a bar hidden behind a record store – leads the city's listening bar boom, while Chanca, a speakeasy inside Peruvian restaurant COYA Dubai, hosts genre-hopping DJ nights. 'Music-wise, amapiano, afrobeats and deep house dominate dancefloors, with party series like Bohemia Beach Club and Ushuaïa booking international names on the regular. 'And while you'll still find big crowds in the cocktail bars of DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre), it's the pool and beach clubs like Cloud 22 on Palm Jumeirah and Sirene Beach at beachside district J1 Beach that are defining Dubai's nightlife trends in 2025.' Overall, Las Vegas claimed the top spot with Madrid and Paris rounding out the top three. Dubai is sandwiched between Mexico City and Mumbai in the top 10. The full global ranking can be found here, with editors and local experts from across the globe shining a spotlight on what makes their city stand out from the crowd. 7 things to do for an immediate serotonin boost in Dubai

Sometimes we all just need a little pick-me-up. Luckily for you, Dubai is full of things to do that are guaranteed to brighten up your diary. If you're after a new place or two outside of your usual go-tos, here are some easy things to do to get you in an immediate good mood. Crack a FIX chocolate bar #viral #chocolate ♬ original sound – Time Out Dubai @timeoutdubai New dark chocolate version of the viral Dubai Fix chocolate is out now. Love dark chocolate? Then this is for you. Expect a less sweeter version but with the original crispy kunafa and pistachio. You can order Can't get Knafeh Of It. You can get it on Deliveroo at 2pm and 5pm, but you have to be quick. These sell out in minutes. #dubai There's nothing like the feeling of snapping the viral Dubai chocolate bar in two and watching as the creamy, crunchy kunafa-filled mixture spills out from all edges. Whether you want the original, the dark chocolate version or even the brand-new flavour that just hit the shelves, that first snap will always put a smile on your face. You might also like: Where to find the original Dubai chocolate (and tasty dupes) Explore House of Hype (Credit: Supplied) Created by the team behind equally impressive Dubai attraction AYA Universe, this lot know how to give you a cool Insta-op. But trust us on this one. This gigantic experience has over 100 different things to do, and you'll feel like you've walked through video games, taken a stroll through Japan and stumbled into a dream at the same time. From hidden doors to secret sushi restaurants, this spot is guaranteed to make you feel good. From Dhs149. Open Sun-Thu 10am-10pm, Fri-Sat 10am-midnight. Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai, (04 542 0330). Feel the breeze of an abra ride It might be one of the oldest (and cheapest) things to do in Dubai, but it always hits the spot. Even on a hot day, you can hop on one of the traditional boats for a Dhs1 and get the wind in your hair as it sails along Dubai Creek. The views are impressive, the breeze will keep you cool and you can see some of the city's oldest sights all at the same time. From Dhs1 (per passenger per trip). Dubai Creek, Ride the Storm Coaster (Credit: Supplied) If you're starting to flag mid-shopping spree then have no fear, this little slice of fun will perk you right back up again. Known as 'The Storm', the ride at Dubai Hills Mall is a record-breaking ride with speeds of up to 77kmh, making it the fastest vertical launch indoor rollercoaster. Expect lots of thrills, twists, turns, and some adrenaline-pumping drops. From Dhs65. Open Sun-Thu 10am-10pm, Fri-Sat 10am-11.30pm. Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Hills, (04 448 5033). Tuck into an Aussie benedict at Tom&Serg Say g'day to this Aussie version of the classic dish that's served up at Tom&Serg. If you didn't already know, eggs are scientifically-proven to give you natural serotonin, meaning that eating this smokey plate of goodness is guaranteed to get you grinning from ear to ear. Watch the sunset at Sunset Beach The clue is in the name with this one. Kite Beach's lesser-known sibling has plenty going for it, not least the fact that the wide stretch of milky-white sand is a gorgeous location to end the day. Not only do you have a prime view of the sunset, but you can also watch the sky change colour behind the towering Burj Al Arab hotel. 2C Street, Umm Suqeim. Whizz around at Chaos Karts 3, 2, 1, GO. Hop in the driver's seat and get the childhood rush of playing your favourite video game, except this time, you're actually in it. The virtual reality experience makes you feel as if you're in a real life version of Mario Kart as you twist around the course. Expect to feel great from the second the lights turn green.
