Two Lotto players have woken up this Saturday €255,000 and €500,000 richer respectively.
As we now know, every EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle for the month of May will include an extra draw worth €250,000, on top of the regular €5,000 prize.

The Limerick player won't be the only one waking up today with a new enormous windfall, as a Galway player won a massive €500,000 in the Daily Millions Plus draw.
The draw, which took place on Friday (May 9) at 2pm, saw the huge win come for the Galway player, who purchased the winning Quick Pick on the day of the draw from Mountbellew Post Office in Co Galway.

'It was a Friday to remember for our players in Galway and Limerick, with two big wins to celebrate this weekend!' National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer said. 'In last night's EuroMillions draw, there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot, but over 61,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games.
'This includes one Raffle Ticket Winner: I-SBS-10586 of the 'Ireland Only Raffle' special draw, who received €255,000. With six more €250,000 EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle top up wins guaranteed, it's shaping up to be an unforgettable month for our players.'

An Irish Lotto player came agonisingly close to becoming Ireland's newest millionaire after they missed out on Saturday's mammoth jackpot by just one number. The punter matched five numbers plus the bonus number in Saturday's (August 2) main Lotto jackpot, leaving them just one number short of scooping the life-changing €13.7 million sum. While the player may have narrowly missed out on the huge cash windfall, they still have plenty of reason to celebrate as they managed to bag the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €60,394 The numbers to look out for in Saturday's main Lotto draw are: 02, 03, 06, 09, 24, 39 and the Bonus number is 34. The lucky ticketholder was among 109,000 players who won prizes in Saturday's Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. In the Lotto Plus 1, where there was a jackpot worth €1m up for grabs, the numbers called were: 20, 23, 31, 34, 38, 44 and the Bonus number was 06. While no player managed to scoop the €1m top prize, 17 players did match five correct numbers to bag €500 each. Meanwhile in the Lotto Plus 2 draw, the numbers drawn were: 03, 12, 23, 25, 28, 44 and the Bonus number is 01. The lucky player is set to bank a cool €1,005,000 after picking the winning numbers. A winning EuroMillions ticket has been bought in Co. Sligo with one lucky player set to land €1,005,000, the National Lottery has revealed. Friday night saw the special EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle alongside the usual main draw, which had guaranteed a seven-figure prize money for one Irish player. The winning raffle ticket number was I-SLF-56168 and was purchased online in Co. Sligo on July 19. A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: 'What a night for our players! Euromillions News in 90 Seconds - Saturday, August 2 "We've got a brand-new millionaire in Sligo thanks to the Ireland Only Raffle, and a brilliant €500,000 win in Louth from the EuroMillions Plus draw. "That's €1.5 million in top tier prizes heading to two counties in one night! We're absolutely thrilled and can't wait to meet our latest winners including Ireland's newest millionaire!' Alongside the EuroMillions draw, ten players win €5,000 with their unique raffle ticket number, and among them one fortunate winner has had an additional €1,000,000 added to their prize. The winner is set to be become the 16th National Lottery millionaire of 2025. For prizes of over €15,000 and above, winners have to contact the National Lottery Claims Department via phone on 1800 666 222. They are also open Monday to Friday from 9.15am-5.30pm. Additionally, a player in Co. Louth has also bagged €500,000 after matching all five numbers in Friday's EuroMillions Plus draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the July 26 from Applegreen, Old Newry Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth. The winning numbers in last night's EuroMillions Plus draw were: 4, 5, 15, 16, and 40. Seventy people won €2,000 each after matching four in the plus draw, while 3,290 people won €20 for matching three. There was no winner of the overall jackpot – worth €166,241,768 – but in total over 67,000 players won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws.
