Mahhi Vij responds to divorce rumours with Jay Bhanushali, asks why people make a big deal out of separation: ‘Tum mere chacha lagte ho?'

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have been married for 14 years but in the last few months, rumours have been floating around about the couple's possible separation. This rumour started after the couple's appearances on each others' social media started decreasing, and now, in a recent interview, Mahhi was asked about the same. To this, Mahhi refused to give a clear answer and said that those who wonder about her relationship in the comments section, don't mean anything to her.
In a chat with Hauterrfly, Mahhi was asked if she wanted to give a clear statement about the divorce rumours, she said, 'No.' She then proceeded to say, 'If there is a possible separation or not, why should I tell you?' She continued, 'Tum mere chacha lagte ho ya tum mere lawyer ki fees doge ya tum mera acha divorce karaoge? (Are you my uncle or will you pay for my lawyer or will you help me get a divorce?) I just feel that why do they make a big deal out of separation or getting a divorce.'
She said that people in the comments section either put her down, or speak ill about Jay. 'These days, they are writing in my comments that Mahhi is nice but Jay is not, or somewhere they will write, Jay is nice but Mahhi is not,' she said.

Mahhi continued, 'What do you know? The ones who are judging, what do you now? You are acting like everyone's uncle, what do you know?' Talking about the tabboo against single motherhood, Mahhi said, 'Yahan pe bada voh ho gaya hai ki 'single mother, divorce, ab toh koi scene hoga. Divorce hone vala hai to ab yeh dono ek dusre pe keechad uchalenge, gandagi hogi'. I feel society ke pressure boht hai ki society kya bolegi. Yeh kya bolenge, voh kya bolenge. I just feel live and let live. (There's too much attention around, 'single mother, divorce, they will fight now. Divorce is going to happen so they will speak ill about each other'. I feel there is too much pressure around what the world will say. I just feel live and let live.)'
