"The grit on the field is backed by relentless hours off the field. Kudos to Gautam Gambhir and the entire support staff who've worked tirelessly to prepare this team. Your efforts reflected in the strong fightback we witnessed!" Dhawan posted.
Under Gambhir's leadership, India staged a resilient comeback to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2, capping off the five-match series with a thrilling win in the final Test at The Oval.
The series finale in London went down to the wire on the fifth day. England were just 35 runs away from chasing down a steep 374-run target, while India needed four wickets to seal the match and the series draw.
Amid mounting pressure, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna stepped up. As England's lower order battled on—with Chris Woakes nursing a broken shoulder—Gus Atkinson brought the equation down to just seven runs with one wicket in hand. But Siraj delivered the decisive blow, sneaking in a searing yorker that shattered Atkinson's off-stump and sealed a famous Indian win.
A jubilant Siraj sprinted in celebration, unleashing his trademark 'Siu' as teammates rushed in to celebrate the dramatic finish.

Texans camp turns tragic: C.J. Gardner-Johnson carted off after scary leg injury at Texans camp

C.J. Gardner-Johnson's Texans journey hits nightmare start after carted off with leg injury. What started as just another day at Texans training camp quickly turned into the kind of moment that makes your stomach drop. Star safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who only just joined Houston this offseason collapsed during Monday's practice with what looked like a brutal leg injury. One second he was going in for a routine tackle, the next he was down on the turf, clutching his leg and clearly in pain. The cart came out. Teammates took a knee. Coaches looked on in silence. Just like that, Houston's momentum came to a screeching halt. Gardner-Johnson went down during a play and never got up, Texans paused everything It happened fast. C.J. tried to wrap up wide receiver John Metchie III on a play during practice, but something went very wrong. He immediately reached for his right leg and couldn't stand or put weight on it. Staff rushed over. Players formed a huddle nearby, many visibly shaken. He was carted off the field, and the entire mood shifted, camp was no longer about reps or hype. It was about concern for one of the team's emotional leaders. DeMeco Ryans calls it 'heartbreaking' as Texans rally around their fallen star After practice, head coach DeMeco Ryans didn't sugarcoat it. 'It's heartbreaking,' he said. And it showed. Ryans temporarily stopped all football activity so the team could emotionally reset. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Discover the AI-powered language app that's changing how everyone learns Talkpal AI Undo This wasn't just any player going down, this was a locker room leader, someone who brought fire, experience, and championship energy to a young, rising squad. The Texans have been building something special, and Gardner-Johnson was a huge part of that new identity. This is a guy who helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl just two seasons ago. Gardner-Johnson tied the league lead with six interceptions in 2022. He was brought to Houston on a one-year, $7.5 million deal to lead a revamped defense and give this squad some veteran swagger. It wasn't just about numbers, it was about the vibes. His absence now? It's massive, especially for a team trying to take that next big leap. No official word on how bad the injury is but it didn't look good As of now, the Texans haven't released any specific updates on the extent of the injury. What we do know, it was a non-contact play, and C.J. couldn't walk off on his own. That's never a great sign. Everyone's hoping for the best, but it's fair to say the team is bracing for bad news. The next 24–48 hours will be crucial as we wait for official word from medical staff.
