Pakistan To Host South Africa For Three-Match ODI Series
Pakistan will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series in September 2025 and play a T20I series against Ireland in August. They also have the ODI World Cup in Sri Lanka.
To gear up for the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup, Pakistan will host South Africa for a three-match 50-over series, scheduled for September 16, 19, and 22.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the team will engage in a three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin in early August. After the home ODI series against South Africa, Pakistan will head to Sri Lanka to compete in the ODI World Cup, playing their seven league-stage matches from October 2 to 24 in Colombo.
If Pakistan advances to the knockouts of the ODI World Cup, the semi-final will take place on October 29 and the final on November 2 in Colombo. Post this, Pakistan's women's international schedule will primarily focus on preparing for the 2026 T20 World Cup in England, happening from June 12 to July 5.
Pakistan will tour South Africa from February 7 to March 2, 2026, for three ODIs, marking the beginning of their campaign in the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, and three T20Is. In April, Pakistan will host Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three T20Is, part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, from April 24 to May 11.
Before heading to England for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will participate in a T20I tri-series in Ireland, featuring the hosts and the West Indies as the third team. 'The upcoming season is significant, with major events such as the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and ICC Women's T20 World Cup on the horizon."
'Our international schedule has been designed to ensure thorough preparation, with quality opposition that will enable the players to perform well and contribute to the team's success," stated Rafia Haider, head of women's cricket.
The PCB also mentioned that the women's Under-19 team is set to play a national T20 tournament in Karachi from September 15 to October 6. The top performers will be invited to a three-week skills development camp, followed by the pre-departure camp for a five-match T20I tour of Bangladesh in December.
'Our Pathways structure continues to evolve with the aim of building a strong future for Pakistan women's cricket. The U19 T20 tournament and the subsequent tour to Bangladesh will provide young players with valuable exposure and an opportunity to develop the skills required at the international level," added Rafia.

Kranti Goud, Shree Charani must be given time as players, says Punam Raut
New Delhi, Aug 2 (PTI) Young players Kranti Goud and Shree Charani must be given time and the team management and selectors should also keep faith in their skills as they are the future of the Indian women's team, says Punam Raut. Both Goud and Charani made their mark on the recent tour of England in which the Indian Women's team clinched victories in the T20I and ODI series. India will be hosting the Women's ODI World Cup later this year. 'Youngsters like Kranti and Charani are the future, but they need time and faith," Raut told PTI Videos in an interview. 'This is just the beginning for them. The experience they have gained in England will count in the upcoming matches." Charani claimed 10 wickets in the T20I series which India won 3-2 while Goud claimed six wickets in the series-deciding third and final ODI to give her side a 2-1 triumph. Raut said the exposure provided to young Indian players by the Women's Premier League has also made its impact. 'The way WPL has been going on for 2–3 years, a lot of emerging cricketers are coming up. The exposure they have got from playing with foreign cricketers has really helped (and) that experience has added up. We saw the result of that," she said. Raut, however, called for both the players to be given time and a long rope. '(But) this is just the beginning. I want the captain and coaches to have faith in them," she said. 'They might not perform well in the upcoming matches. It can happen, especially with the World Cup coming up in different conditions. But you should believe in them and give them time to move forward." Raut also praised India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for getting a match-winning century in the third ODI. 'It's a positive thing because she is the captain. And when the captain is in form, then he gets a different confidence. Such performances relax the captain and give her space to think and plan for the team," Raut said. Raut said India will have to maintain the momentum. 'When you play at an international level, the whole world watches you. Other teams are watching and preparing too. The upcoming competitions will be tougher. On the World Cup stage, everyone comes prepared," she said. While she aims to make her comeback, Raut also wants to become a coach. 'As long as I am fit, I will always want to come back for India. I'm really looking forward to this season," she said. 'I would like to go into coaching after cricket. I'm already working in that way. I try to share my experiences with youngsters — the challenges I've faced and how I've overcome them," she said. IND vs ENG 5th Test Day 3: Jaiswal Hundred Puts India On Top, Lead By 281 Runs At Tea
Last Updated: Yashasvi Jaiswal's sixth century helped India lead by 281 runs by tea on day three of the final Test. India reached 304/6, with England dropping six catches. Yashasvi Jaiswal capitalized on his fortune to score his sixth century in tough conditions, helping India extend their lead to 281 runs by tea on the third day of the fifth and final Test on Saturday. India lost three wickets in the session but managed to reach 304 for six at the break. England continued to drop catches, bringing their total to six for this innings. Jaiswal (118 off 164), who was dropped twice on Friday, received another life on day three and made the most of it, scoring his second century of the series. Shubman Gill (11 off 9) hit two elegant boundaries before falling to Gus Atkinson's delivery, the first ball after lunch. Gill ended the series with a remarkable 754 runs, just 20 short of Sunil Gavaskar's all-time record for an Indian. Jaiswal, who frequently used the cut shot, was eventually caught in the third-man region. Karun Nair was caught behind off Atkinson, undone by extra bounce in the uncertain corridor. The highest successful chase at The Oval is 263, and India has ensured that England will need to set a new record in the fourth innings. Earlier, nightwatchman Akash Deep scored his maiden half-century, frustrating a lacklustre England and putting India in a strong position by lunch. Starting the day at 75 for two, India reached 189 for three at the break with Yashasvi Jaiswal (85 not out off 106 balls) and Akash Deep (66 off 94 balls) sharing a 107-run partnership off 150 balls. The Indian pacer, who was on four overnight, was eventually dismissed by Jamie Overton with a short ball that he couldn't control, giving an easy catch to Gus Atkinson at point. A bowler short, England struggled to contain Akash Deep, who slashed his bat frequently and got away with it. Zak Crawley dropped a regulation catch of Akash Deep at third slip off Josh Tongue, adding to England's 19 dropped catches across 10 Indian innings. The pitch also played better than the first two days, with less seam movement. There were plenty of edges to the third-man region, but they did not result in wickets. Akash Deep, who had only one first-class fifty before this game, signalled his intentions in the first over bowled by left-arm spinner Jacob Bethell, hitting a boundary over mid-wicket. Akash Deep didn't hold back against the fast bowlers either, especially Atkinson. He reached his fifty with another slog off Atkinson and was understandably thrilled, receiving applause from the Indian dressing room. Jaiswal, at the other end, let Akash Deep play his shots but did manage a ramp shot off Overton that went for a boundary. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
