'She will not let this attack pass without a fitting response,' he added.
Banerjee, in her post, referred to a letter from Inspector of Police of Lodhi Colony station in New Delhi regarding the arrest of eight persons suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in India.
The letter sent to Banga Bhawan, the office of the resident commission of the West Bengal government in Delhi, requesting translation, said, "The identification documents contain texts written in Bangladeshi and need to be translated to Hindi and English."
Banerjee had said that describing a language spoken by crores of Indians and sanctified by the Constitution as Bangladeshi is scandalous, insulting, anti-national, and unconstitutional.
'This insults all Bengali-speaking people of India. They cannot use this kind of language which degrades and debases us all,' she said.

Shanta Paul case: Kolkata police arrest man for helping Bangladeshi actress with fake documents
The Kolkata police have made another arrest in connection with the ongoing investigation into Bangladeshi model and actress Shanta Paul, who was recently arrested for allegedly possessing forged Indian identity documents. The accused, identified as Soumik Dutta, 36, from Naihati in North 24 Parganas district, was arrested on Tuesday by the Anti-Rowdy Squad from his residence for his alleged role in helping Paul create the fake documents. Paul, 28, was arrested by the Lalbazar Detective Department after being found with two fake Aadhaar cards and a ration card. The police are now checking if she used these forged documents to secure a bank loan. According to sources, the police are looking into her financial transactions, particularly in light of her social media posts where she had mentioned plans to open an eatery. Paul, who has nearly 41,000 followers on Facebook, is a model and actress. The investigation has also extended to her social media presence, where officials are examining her travel vlogs that allegedly contain advice to other Bangladeshi nationals on how to enter and reside in India using medical visas. The police are investigating whether Paul influenced or assisted others in similar fraudulent activities. The investigation has also revealed that Paul used a rented Kolkata address to obtain a ration card, which was then used to create the fake Aadhaar cards. One of the fraudulent Aadhaar cards listed an address in Purba Bardhaman district, while the other had a Kolkata address. According to sources, investigators suspect that creating a false Indian identity was part of a broader plan to facilitate international travel, as she was reportedly unable to travel to certain countries from Bangladesh. Details have also emerged about Paul's travel history, including a visit to Nathula Pass near the China border in Sikkim. The police are also checking her social media page, 'Asan Travels Kolkata and Bangladesh', to determine the scope of her alleged travel business. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday said that leaders like US President Donald Trump will get a befitting reply when India becomes the world's third-largest economy. 'India is not dependent on America for our exports. The whole world is standing with open arms to do business with India,' Gupta said, apparently referring to Trump's announcement of 25 per cent tariffs on imports from India and an unspecified penalty on the country for buying Russian oil. Gupta was speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of the Patparganj CPE Study Circle. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's push for 'vocal for local', One District One Product, and the use of swadeshi products means that everything Indians buy should have 'Indianness', Gupta said, 'so that all money spent by us is used by our country only'. 'If we all work together, then it will not take time to become the third-largest economy from the fourth number,' she added. Gupta also talked about the importance of chartered accountants (CAs). 'All the 30,000 CAs in Delhi are my army who encourage everyone to pay their taxes faithfully. Whenever there's a GST raid, the first call goes to a CA. They help ensure tax compliance,' she said. Gupta announced plans to launch a scheme to allow citizens to settle old tax dues without hassle. It would be a one-time opportunity, she said, adding that chartered accountants would play a pivotal role in its execution. 'We are working towards making the tax-paying system completely faceless. People shouldn't fear the Government. We are eliminating the need for multiple licences and simplifying systems,' she said. The chief minister said the public trust in chartered accountants is similar to that in doctors. 'No government campaign can be as effective as a CA's word. People trust their CA and do what they say,' she added. Gupta also stressed the need to end under-the-table transactions and build a governance model that encourages honesty and transparency.
