F1 driver Jenson Button's wife vows never to return to UK after £250,000 worth of belongings stolen
Jenson Button's wife, Brittny Button, has expressed her decision to never return to the UK after a harrowing experience where a thief swiped her suitcase containing £250,000 worth of jewellery and designer handbags.
The incident occurred on February 13, 2025, when the couple returned from a brief getaway in Paris and arrived at London's St Pancras station. As per a recent interview with MailOnline, Brittny, 34, explained how her husband, Formula One driver Jenson Button, was loading the car when a thief seized her Goyard carry-on suitcase in seconds. The suitcase contained valuable items, including two Kelly bags worth around £70,000, and sentimental jewellery, such as pieces from her wedding and the birth of her daughter.
Brittny revealed that while she typically travels with less luxurious items, she and her stylist had packed more expensive items for their romantic Valentine's Day getaway. However, the experience of having her belongings stolen so brazenly left her feeling shaken. 'I thought, 'Should I have brought my carry-on back here with me?'' she told MailOnline. "I felt like everything was so unsecure, so chaotic."
The thief, identified as 41-year-old Mourad Aid, acted quickly while the couple's backs were turned, snatching the suitcase and fleeing the busy station. Despite the trauma, Brittny praised the British Transport Police for their quick response, with CCTV footage helping them track down the suspect. Aid was arrested on February 17, 2025, and pleaded guilty to theft at Westminster Magistrates' Court on February 19. He remains in custody for sentencing.
However, the ordeal has left Brittny disillusioned with the UK. In the MailOnline interview, she stated, 'It just feels so unsafe now,' adding that London no longer feels as welcoming as it once did. The theft, combined with the stress of the California wildfires that had already threatened their home earlier in the year, has led Brittny and Jenson to have 'no interest' in returning to the UK.
Though Brittny is grateful that the robbery was not violent, the loss of her sentimental items weighs heavily on her. 'A lot of people assume, 'Your husband bought you those,' but I worked hard for them," she explained. "It's just frustrating to have someone take what isn't theirs.'
Brittny also noted the personal loss of the bags she intended to pass down to her daughter, reflecting on how the experience had altered her perspective. Despite the emotional toll, she finds comfort in knowing the thief is facing justice.

Judge strikes Justin Baldoni's letter accusing Blake Lively of pressuring Taylor Swift
A federal judge has struck a letter and affidavit from Justin Baldoni's attorney alleging that Blake Lively pressured Taylor Swift amid the ongoing Lively v. Wayfarer Studios case. On May 15, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted Blake Lively's motion to strike a letter from Bryan Freedman, Baldoni's lawyer, calling it 'improper' and 'irrelevant to any issue before this Court.' The letter alleged Lively's lawyers demanded Swift issue a public statement of support and threatened to release private text messages if she refused. Lively's legal team responded strongly, saying, 'The court saw through Mr. Freedman's inflammatory accusations,' and warned further misconduct could face sanctions. Freedman's original claims, tied to Baldoni's attempt to subpoena Swift, cited an unnamed source 'closely linked' to Swift, claiming Lively's team made extortionate threats. He later submitted an affidavit under penalty of perjury, detailing an alleged Valentine's Day call in which the source described pressure placed on Swift. Lively's attorney, Mike Gottlieb, categorically denied the claims, calling them 'cowardly,' 'unfounded,' and 'abusive.' He further accused Baldoni's legal team of using the court docket to leak defamatory information to the press. The legal battle began when Lively accused Baldoni, her It Ends with Us co-star and director, of sexual harassment. Baldoni, 41, countersued for $400 million, claiming defamation and extortion. Swift, though subpoenaed, has publicly distanced herself from the case.

Kim Kardashian reportedly sues Lana Del Rey for $1 million over SKIMS ad disclosure violation
Kim Kardashian is reportedly suing Lana Del Rey for $1 million, claiming the singer failed to properly disclose a paid post promoting SKIMS. The legal clash between the reality star and the Grammy-nominated singer has sparked a media frenzy, with social media users divided over the high-profile dispute. The issue stems from SKIMS' recent Valentine's Day campaign, which featured Lana Del Rey modelling the brand's bodysuits and lingerie. The campaign, initially celebrated for its dreamy visuals and nostalgic flair, took a turn when Del Rey allegedly failed to label her Instagram and TikTok posts with '#ad' or 'paid partnership,' potentially violating Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations. Kardashian's legal team argues that the lack of transparency could mislead consumers and damage SKIMS' brand integrity. With influencer marketing now closely monitored by authorities, the stakes are high, especially for billion-dollar brands that rely on trust and authenticity. If the court rules in Kardashian's favour, Del Rey could be liable for up to $1 million in damages. While neither party has commented publicly on the matter, the internet has erupted with takes. Some users are defending Kardashian, stressing the importance of clear ad labelling, while others dismiss the lawsuit as excessive. One X user wrote, 'Kim Kardashian suing Lana Del Rey over a missing #ad? Sounds like a brunch misunderstanding turned courtroom drama.' Another added, 'This is peak 2025 — millionaires fighting over hashtags.' Amidst the legal tension, the National Advertising Division is said to be conducting its own investigation into SKIMS' wider advertising practices.
