KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The exhilarating cycling race surged into action on Saturday morning, marking a thrilling highlight of Kuwait Sports Day. Held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge, the event saw a massive turnout of enthusiastic riders and walkers, uniting sports lovers of all ages to celebrate fitness and competition. Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, officially signaled the start of the race. Mahmoud Abel, president of the Kuwait Sports for All Federation, also attended the event and was a member of the Supreme Organizing Committee for Kuwait Sports Day.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem participated in the cycling race for the second consecutive year, alongside former Minister Dawood Marafi. The event features a 20-kilometer cycling race, followed by a 5-kilometer walk, allowing participants to engage in a day of fitness and celebration. This year's race saw an impressive turnout, with approximately 20,000 male and female participants, including athletes with special needs, emphasizing inclusivity and community engagement in Kuwait's sports initiatives.

He also extended his appreciation to the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah, Director of Sports Authorities Jarrah Al-Saeedi, and President of the Kuwait Weightlifting Federation, Talal Al-Jassar, for their support. Speaking to KUNA, gold medalist Abrar Al-Fahad credited the club and the Kuwait Federation for their backing, stressing that the athletes' success was built on 'relentless training and continuous support.'

Al-Mutairi returns home with Asian Youth Championships bronze
KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Kuwaiti boxer Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi returned to the country after securing third place and winning the bronze medal in the 71 kg category at the Asian Youth Championships, held in Sri Lanka from May 10 to 24. Al-Mutairi was welcomed upon arrival by the Secretary-General of the Kuwait Boxing Federation, Mutlaq Al-Azmi, and the Federation's Director, Abdullah Hussein. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of the Delegation, Bader Al-Faraj, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and to the Acting Director-General of the Public Authority for Sports, Bashar Abdullah. Kuwait's Al-Nasr Club makes historic debut at the Asian women's weightlifting Masters
KUWAIT CITY, May 28: The Al-Nasr women's weightlifting team is proudly representing Kuwait at the inaugural Asian Masters Championship, currently taking place in Doha, Qatar, and set to conclude this coming Saturday. This marks a historic milestone as Al-Annabi becomes the first Kuwaiti women's team to compete in an Asian-level weightlifting championship.
