Autumn is not here just yet, but the sales are, and it's the perfect opportunity to get some discounted buys before the new season rolls around.
From classic trench coats and cosy knits to boots you'll wear on repeat, retailers are dropping major discounts on pieces that will see you through the colder months in style.
And the Mirror 's shopping team has done all the hard work for you, scouring the sales to find the chicest buys worth spending your hard-earned money on before they're gone.
Whether you're after timeless staples or a standout statement piece, these autumn deals are the perfect blend of style and savings.
Head of shopping picks: Levi's Spade Trench Coat
Was £150, now £75
Trench coats are always worth the investment thanks to their practicality and timeless look. They're the kind of jacket that will never go out of style and will see you through from autumn to spring. Our head of shopping, Zoe, has found such a great offer on Levi's flattering trench.
Zoe says: "As soon as the weather starts to feel a little colder, I start reaching for a trusty and lightweight trench coat, and I basically don't stop wearing it until the frost sets in. My last-season trench is a Karen Millen buy, which I've had for years, in anticipation of the new season, I've picked up Levi's Spade Trench Coat while it's on sale. Previously £150, you can grab it for £75 if you're quick – which is an incredible deal on a top quality jacket like this."
Beauty editor picks: Boden Imi Scallop Trim Jumper
Was £76, now from £38
Knitwear is an autumn essential, and Mirror's beauty editor, Laura, has spotted a cosy cotton and wool blend jumper in the Boden sale, with more than 50% off on certain colours.
Laura says: "Living in an old, cold terrace house in the north of England, it's never wise for me to pack my jumpers away, even in the midst of summer – plus I love how knitwear looks paired with shorts. A scallop-neck jumper I previously owned recently got ruined in the wash, so I'll be replacing it with one of these cute Boden knits now that some of the colours are better than half price. I'm tempted by the strawberry red and the light brown."
Senior shopping writer picksCinched Waist Workwear Jacket
Was £110, now £55
Barn and work jackets were a massive trend last autumn, and they're back for another season. Our senior shopping writer, Faith, has found an elevated take on the barn jacket from Abercrombie.
Faith says: "Utility jackets were a major trend this spring, and they'll be making an official comeback for autumn. They're my go-to silhouette for dressing down something more formal, like a satin midi dress, or for adding some edge to a mini skirt, plus they pair perfectly with a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt – a total wardrobe workhorse.
This Cinched Waist Workwear Jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch is the perfect balance of practical and stylish, and its faux leather collar adds a little luxe-look to the utilitarian design. It's also available in three colours and a diverse range of sizes – plus it's got 50% off. Winner winner!"
Shopping writer picks: TOG24Alva Women's Waterproof Jacket
Was £170, now £119
With the UK's unpredictable weather, a waterproof jacket is a non-negotiable, and our shopping writer, Meghan, has spotted a TOG24 one that combines style with practicality for £50 off.
Meghan says: "My TOG24 jacket saw me through last autumn and winter and has remained a firm favourite for rainy weather even in spring and summer, but this autumn, I'm stepping up my waterproof wear with this stylish Alva Women's Waterproof Jacket, which is currently up for grabs from TOG24 for over £50 off. Boasting an endlessly chic maxi design and coming in an on-trend khaki colour, this parka jacket is breathable while promising to keep you protected from the wind and rain."
Shopping writer picks: ASOS Cleona premium leather kitten heel knee boots
Long gone are the days of uncomfy, stiletto-high autumn boots. Instead, we're seeing comfier, lower heel heights that don't compromise on style. Our shopping writer, Grace, has had this chocolate ASOS pair in her basket all year.
Grace says: "I had my eye on this gorgeous suede pair of boots last winter, but didn't want to part with almost £150. However, now that they're less than £100, they're much more tempting, especially with payday finally here. Suede is still going to be a huge trend next season, and this pair is so versatile, not to mention the perfect height. I could style them with everything from midi skirts to mini dresses, and still manage to walk around in them all day thanks to the kitten heel."

Boden shoppers swap trainers for new 'favourite pair of shoes' now £78 off

The Boden sale is treating fashion fans to a fruity pair of shoes that are perfect for summer Shoppers looking for an alternative shoe to a classic trainer have found a stylish option from Boden - and they're on sale. Saving fashion fans £78, these loafers have been hailed by Boden for being 'as comfortable as slippers', but with a chic and smart look. Originally £130, the loafers have been reduced to better than half price, now retailing for £52. Boasting a cute and quirky embroidered cherry print, the shoes tap into this season's fruity trend. They're ideal for summer and can be worn with everything from jeans to dresses and skirts. These loafers are an easy way to give a vibrant finishing touch to an otherwise simple outfit. They could be styled and worn to work with a pair of tailored trousers, or on a day off with more casual attire. Currently available in UK sizes 3.5 to 8.5, the shoes are made from a combination of suede, textile and leather. Cherries are taking over the accessory collections of other retailers, too. At ASOS shoppers can get this River Island Cherry Embossed Tote Bag for £42. It has a similar look to this £275 designer Coach bag. Part of the Next Cath Kidston range, this Cherry Stripe Large Market Tote Bag is also £42. One customer gave it five stars, writing: "Perfect bag for traveling with kids. Large enough to fit all our stuffs for beach trip." Cherries Slipper Cut Loafer £130 £52 Boden Shop deal Product Description Boden have thousands of items on sale at the moment, but if it's the cherry print loafers that are top of the list, shoppers can take a closer look here. They've been highly rated by customers, with people calling them 'gorgeous' and commenting that they've had 'endless compliments' since getting their hands on them. A new customer to Boden has now been converted to the brand, writing: "So cute! Great quality and so adorable. I will be coming back to Boden!" And a loyal fan shared: "Perfection! Bought my usual size 41 which are usually fine in Boden shoes, of which I own many. They are so comfortable. Very elegant and eye-catching." Someone else left a review that reads: "I've bought a lot of shoes in my life, but these loafers are very special. As soon as I unpacked it, I was impressed by the high-quality workmanship and the lovely design. The combination of classic style and modern twist with the cherry detail makes it a real eye-catcher - perfect for any occasion, whether in the office or when going out. But what impresses me the most is the comfort. "These loafers fit like a glove and feel like they were made just for me. The soft interior and flexible sole mean I can be on my feet all day without feeling tired or uncomfortable. I've received so many compliments on these shoes that I don't even want to take them off! They're the perfect mix of style and comfort, and the heart motif gives them a charming, playful touch that simply puts you in a good mood." However, the sizing was a little off for some people. Despite being pleased with the shoes, it has been noted by a few that they come up large. One consumer said 'very cute - a bit on the large side' and another shared 'lovely, just a lot bigger than expected'. Those looking to switch up their wardrobe might want to consider the Boden loafers. This is exactly what this customer thought, explaining: "I was trying to add some fun loafers to my mostly sneaker wardrobe. Quality is lovely and the shoe has enough give. These are quickly becoming my favorite pair of shoes." It has also been said that the loafers are 'beautiful, high quality, and super comfortable.' As well as someone else pointing out: "Great pattern and fit! Really enjoying my new loafers."

Prince William and Kate Middleton 'eyeing up move to bigger Royal home'

The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly been looking for a new home just three years after moving to Adelaide Cottage. Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly on the hunt for a new, grander Royal residence, despite only moving to their current spot just three years ago. The couple moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022, and while it's a comfortable abode within the grounds of Windsor Castle, it was never expected to be their permanent base, reports the Mirror. The four-bedroom property is relatively modest by Royal standards, and it's understood that they've been discreetly exploring other options, with insiders suggesting they have a preferred choice. Adelaide Cottage pales in comparison to the family's previous full-time residence - a lavish apartment in Kensington Palace - and they're seeking a larger home for their children, George, Charlotte and Louis. It seems that the top contender is Fort Belvedere, a magnificent gothic revival mansion located in Windsor Great Park. Sources told the Mail on Sunday that William and Kate might be considering the 18th Century estate. It was the favourite home of Edward VIII before he abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson. Edward renovated the property, adding a swimming pool, tennis court, and stables. It's a vast estate with a long driveway leading to the entrance and even boasts a moat. It's believed that William and Kate had previously considered the vacant Fort Belvedere before settling on Adelaide Cottage. At that time, they reportedly felt that Adelaide Cottage was more suitable as it was closer to Queen Elizabeth, and they also wanted to provide their children with a more grounded upbringing. However, the situation has evolved and the Grade II listed property could be the solution to their current itchy feet. The Mail source said: "They feel they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage and need somewhere more substantial. This is the perfect new home for them. It has a swimming pool and tennis court, and Charlotte loves playing tennis." Previously, it was suggested that the Wales family could expand their living space through an annex building by Adelaide Cottage, thus avoiding a move. Another insider told the Express: "Nobody knows that there is quite a spacious red-brick annex building that's not being used next door to Adelaide Cottage. It's currently inhabitable and needs extensive renovation works if it were to be used. "Discussions have been ongoing for a while about using the property as part of the overall cottage grounds, but it's just about finding the right time to kick the project off." The Wales family's impending move isn't the only upheaval in the Firm at the moment. Speculation about potential peace negotiations between Prince Harry and King Charles has intensified in recent days. It comes after reports that senior advisers to both Royals were seen at a London meeting. But a Royal commentator was unconvinced that healing the family divide is possible any more. A confidant of Princess Anne had suggested that Harry should have turned to his aunt during his difficult period. But former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond reckons it's now too late for the Duke of Sussex to seek counsel from the Princess Royal or rely on her to repair the fractured bond between himself and his father. Ms Bond claimed Harry had been "extremely disloyal" to the Firm, which wouldn't be looked on well by Anne. She said: "To Anne, loyalty is paramount, and I suspect she feels that Harry has been extremely disloyal to his father, his brother and the monarchy. She might well find that hard to forgive." Mum moved from US to UK but one British habit scares her every day

Jessica Wilkinson is still getting used to life in the UK two years after moving from the US. A mum who has moved with her family from the US to the UK admits there is one thing about living here that 'scares her daily' ‌ Jessica Wilkinson posts updates about her family and their travels on Instagram account @ourmicroadventures, which boasts 28,700 followers. In one recent reel, she spoke about their move to the UK and all the things they're 'still not used to'. The video starts with Jessica and her family in their new UK home, and an overlay text reads: "Things in our UK house we're still not used to two years later." ‌ The first thing she mentions is emptying the tumble dryer as she's seen pouring the water from the drawer down the sink, reports the Mirror. ‌ Jessica also is left baffled by the fact that there are no screens on windows. Many American homes have screens on their windows to keep insects out and allow for good ventilation by letting in fresh air. They are viewed as a standard feature, particularly in places where mosquitoes and other insects are rife. ‌ The mum is also still getting used to turning on the electrical outlets to use things like the kettle in her home. However, it is the last point which she admits "scares her daily" – getting the mail delivered through the front door. Most Americans receive their letters through a mailbox at the front of their house. ‌ Following up in the caption, the mum wrote: "The last one still scares me daily. "The adjustment with the move was much harder than expected. But two years later we've finally settled in and (probably thanks to double the sunny days this year) found there's so much to love about living here!" 15,000 likes.
