Faygo celebrates 2 new flavors with immersive pop-up in Detroit
Fruity ice cream and bubble gum are the newest flavors in Faygo's lineup. The iconic beverage company's Super Pop and Bubble Pop! flavors are now arriving in stores.
Faygo says its Super Pop flavor is a fruity take on popular Superman ice cream, while light- pink Bubble Pop! brings to mind bubble gum with added hints of vanilla and fruit notes.
Both flavors are available in 20- and 24-ounce bottles and are being sold at Meijer stores. Other retailers are also expected to carry them.
'This is one of the biggest launches in Faygo's 118-year history,' said Dan Trpevski, the company's executive vice president, in a news release. 'We're proud to introduce ... Super Pop and Bubble Pop! to our lineup of over 50 iconic Faygo varieties.'The Detroit-born company is celebrating the launch by bringing its House of Faygo Pop-Up to downtown Detroit on April 4-6.
The three-day pop-up experience will be at 1001 Woodward Ave. (near Campus Martius) and will offer visitors an opportunity to taste the Super Pop and Bubble Pop! flavors and buy merchandise. It will also include photo opportunities, a tasting bar, art and culture collaborations, and a live DJ set with Sheefy McFly.
In late 1907, Faygo started out as the Feigenson Brothers Bottling Works in Detroit. Years later, the name was shortened to Faygo. The Faygo bottling plant and headquarters are still on Gratiot Avenue in Detroit. Since 1987, Faygo has been part of the National Beverage Corp., which has brands that include LaCroix and Everfresh Juice.

The MAGA podcaster continued, 'And we know he's asked for private briefings of top secret information.' The Wall Street Journal reported in March that Musk had requested a Pentagon briefing on plans for a potential war with China. Trump told reporters at the time that Musk would not see the plans, citing his business ties to China as a conflict of interest. The formerly Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, a team tasked with rooting out supposed fraud and waste within the federal government, has drawn scrutiny over its access to classified materials and the personal information of U.S. citizens. Bannon then doubled down on his call to investigate Musk's immigration status. 'You have someone whose legal status is in question,' he told NPR, adding that you 'can't deport people from all over the world' and 'leave a white South African, who may be here illegally, here.' Bannon, who pleaded guilty this year to scamming people who donated money towards building a wall at the U.S. Southern border, added, 'It's just not right.' The South African-born Musk is a naturalized U.S. citizen. Last year, The Washington Post reported that Musk was working illegally in the U.S. at the beginning of his career in the 1990s, though Musk denied the allegation. Bannon has never been Musk's biggest fan, previously calling him a 'parasitic illegal immigrant' and a 'truly evil guy.' Speaking to NPR on Friday, Bannon theorized about the root of Musk's falling out with Trump and added one more insult to the roster: an '11-year-old child.' US President Donald Trump threatened his former advisor Elon Musk with "serious consequences" Saturday if the tech billionaire seeks to punish Republicans who vote for a controversial spending bill. The comments by Trump to NBC News come after the relationship between the world's most powerful person and the world's richest imploded in bitter and spectacular fashion this week. The blistering break-up -- largely carried out on social media before a riveted public on Thursday -- was ignited by Musk's harsh criticism of Trump's so-called "big, beautiful" spending bill, which is currently before Congress. Some lawmakers who were against the bill had called on Musk -- one of the Republican Party's biggest financial backers in last year's presidential election -- to fund primary challenges against Republicans who voted for the legislation. "He'll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that," Trump, who also branded Musk "disrespectful," told NBC News on Saturday, without specifying what those consequences would be.
