If you are planning to attend the U.S. Open at Oakmont this week, but don't want to wait to see who wins to see the trophy, you can see it for yourself and even have your picture taken with it until early Sunday.
The Driven By Lexus tent has the U.S. Open Trophy on display until early Sunday afternoon, when they'll take the trophy away in time for the U.S. Open Champion to celebrate with.

On Thursday, Channel 11 saw dozens of people coming into the air-conditioned tent to cool off and take their picture with the big prize!
'It's very cool. I've never seen it before up close, that's for sure,' said Don Szoszorek of Allison Park.
'I didn't think it was going to be over here, I didn't think I'd see the trophy today, so it was pretty awesome to see it and get a picture with it,' added Frank Lapinski of Michigan.
'I've never had my picture taken with any of the other championship trophies like the NBA or NHL or for football, the NFL, so it's definitely pretty cool,' said Aaron Rabinowitz of Akron, Ohio.

Crews are at the trophy with a camera, which sends the photo to your phone free of charge.

Victor Perez's U.S. Open ace was almost as impressive as his celebration

Look, I'm not trying to take away from Victor Perez sinking a hole-in-one on Friday at the U.S. Open. The shot was wonderful, the bounce was even better and the roll into the cup was smooth. It was a picture perfect ace, the type we've become accustomed to. The fact that Perez got to jot down a one on his scorecard at a major championship is worth celebrating. It's just that the celebration was more impressive that the shot. Advertisement Usually when a golfer makes an incredible swing, they are so hyped up and excited they lose all coordination. Look no further than whatever Rory McIlroy was doing with his arms after a hole out from the bunker at Augusta in 2022. But Perez and his caddie executed a near-perfect chest bump after his ace on Friday. Almost like they've practiced their celebrations as much as their shots. Well have to deduct a few points from Perez on the landing, but credit to him for keeping his a balance and staying upright. Rory McIlroy begins second round of U.S. Open with two double bogeys in first three holes

After opening in 4-over 74, Rory McIlroy needed a good start Friday to get back in the U.S. Open mix. Didn't happen. McIlroy's tee shot at the par-4 first finished in an impossible lie in the left fairway bunker. He chopped out into the thick grass and played his third shot into the greenside rough. McIlroy eventually carded a double-bogey 6 to fall to 6 over. He parred the second but again made double at the par-4 third — again driving into a fairway bunker — and fell outside the projected cut line at 8 over. McIlroy, who missed the cut last week in Canada, hasn't missed back-to-back cuts in a Tour season since May 2012. He has only three missed cuts in his last 21 majors starts.
