A few years ago, many would've popped inside Primark to snap up a pile of clothes for their little ones on the cheap.

But over the last few months, furious customers have expressed fury over the popular retailer's prices, including a winter coat for £50.
' A £100 price tag in Primark, never thought I'd see the day!', posted a critic, referring to a black dress that Rita, 34, wore to attend the British Fashion Awards.
Another commented on the frock: 'Primark isn't Primarking any more.'
One former customer, mum-of-five and TikToker Mrs Luckey, has now also stopped going to the high street store, dubbing it ''so expensive''.
The cash-savvy mum recently revealed where's been going instead - and how ditching Primark for a supermarket saved her a fortune.
Ahead of the summer holidays, the thrifty mother bagged a mega pile of clothes for less than £80 - and it's all thanks to shopping at ASDA.
The mega supermarket has long been a firm favourite for fashionistas - and there is plenty of wallet-friendly kids clothing too.
During her trip to the store, the money-smart TikToker nabbed a total of 14 pairs of shorts, 14 summery tops, as well as five pairs of colourful leggings.
The monster haul, which came to just £79, also included six sets of adorable pyjamas that her kids are sure to love.
Sharing the jaw-dropping finds, the mum said in the video: ''Primark has become so expensive.
Primark's mini dress is a copy of a £135 designer version - it'll give you a gorgeous hourglass figure & perfect for date night
''So instead of going there, I went to ASDA instead.
''I got the girls a pack of shorts each, all seven of them cost me about £8.
''So that was 14 pairs of shorts for about £16.''

I'm Tinder's most swiped man with 48,000 likes - but I found love offline
Tinder 's 'most swiped right man' has finally 'found love' - after spending nine years on the app - and collecting 48,000 likes. Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, 34, from Greenwich, London, first downloaded the dating app in June 2015 after 'struggling to find love'. But two years later, Stefan, who owns a match-making company, Celebrity Love Coach, 'became an addict' - averaging over three hours a day swiping through potential matches. He eventually earned the title 'Mr Tinder' in 2017, when it was revealed that more users - 14,600 to be exact - had swiped right on him than anyone else. Despite hordes of potential suitors, the male model 'never found love' on any subsequent dates - and said he much prefers to find the one the old-fashioned way, in person. Stefan, who is also a trained pilot, has been open about his previous relationships, which 'have never worked out'. But he now admits he's been 'left love-struck' after a 'mates' night-out in Soho, London, in October 2024, led him to find 'Mrs Right' - finance manager, Vicky Batsford, 43, from Essex, who took his 'breath away'. The meet-cue was 'unexpected', but nine months on, the pair have become official and are 'smitten with each other'. Stefan said: 'I swiped right on her in real life. She stole my attention straight away and everything was easy and natural with her. 'I knew I had to talk to her and we exchanged numbers that night. We quickly became friends and things lifted off from there.' Stefan said Vicky had 'no idea' he was 'Mr Tinder' when they first met. It was only later that week, after googling his name, she became aware and was quite 'intimidated'. 'At first, it was a massive eye roll,' Vicky, from Essex, said. She added, 'But I didn't think anything of it at first, as we were just friends.' 'But after a few more drinks over the following weeks, we chatted more and I found him incredibly interesting. He soon swooned me over.' Stefan had used Tinder to go on over 15 dates - four of which resulted in relationships during his nine-year spell. But he 'struggled' to meet 'the one', admitting that amongst his 40 matches per day, less than five per cent would lead to a conversation - which only worsened once he 'shot to fame' in 2017, saying that it led to 'inauthentic interactions'. 'My success with dating apps plummeted after I became Mr Tinder,' he said, adding, 'It's just become a game where people 'swipe on me' just because of who I am. 'So finding love the old-fashioned way was what I heavily relied on and I'm chuffed to say it has worked. 'It was probably in my favour that Vicky perhaps didn't know who I was off the bat.' Although Vicky admitted there were 'clear differences' in who they are, she 'couldn't be happier' to call him her boyfriend. 'We come from very different worlds,' she said, adding, 'I'm way more structured and disciplined - and he's a lot more spontaneous. It comes after an influencer revealed a 'hack' she claims will get you 'better matches' on popular dating app, Hinge. Iman, from southern England, has thousands of followers on TikTok, where she often shares snippets from her dating life. She uploaded a clip and claimed she had found a way to ensure that people get the 'best pick of the bunch' on Hinge, which is available in the UK, Canada, India, and Australia. The content creator said the tip meant that the people she is now getting are a 'level up' from the profiles she would usually see. Iman told her followers to go to the settings tab and scroll down until they see the 'delete or pause account' tab. The app will then ask why the user is leaving and give them four options to choose from. These include 'I met someone,' 'I need a break from dating apps,' or 'I'm not happy with my Hinge experience'. Iman says you must choose the one that says 'I am not happy with my Hinge experience' for the hack to work. She then said a pop-up will come up which will say 'How about a fresh start?' The app then goes on to say that it will refresh your feed while keeping existing matches. Iman said to proceed and click 'try it,' and give it a few minutes for your Hinge algorithm to reset itself. 'The type of people you get shown are completely different and in my experience, they have been better,' she said. 'You can actually do it more than once, I did it twice in a row and it's like a different Hinge. 'Have I met anyone on there? No. But scrolling on there is more fun.' Some users thanked Iman for her tip, as they reported having better feeds once they followed her instructions. One commented: 'Yeah just did this and I've got loads of new people who actually live near by now and not on the east midlands which was where they were all from previously!'

Inside the turbulent relationship between Princess Diana's mother and grandmother which saw the pair clash in court
Princess Diana 's grandmother's turbulent relationship with her daughter saw the family members clash in a courtroom. Like many families up and down the country, the Spencers were no stranger to their fair share of family drama. Indeed, it has been well-documented that Diana and her mother, Frances Shand Kydd, had a testy relationship throughout their life with periods of reconciliation followed by long spells where the pair did not speak to one another. But it was Frances' relationship with her own mother - Lady Fermoy - which was the most volatile. Lady Fermoy died in 1993 following a short illness. During her 84 year life, the former friend and confidante to the Queen Mother never got on well with her own daughter. In his bestselling biographer about Princess Diana, Andrew Morton revealed how Lady Fermoy spoke so negatively about Frances that it left a lasting legacy on how the Palace saw Diana's mother. Speaking to Morton, Diana said: 'She [Lady Fermoy] feeds the Royal Family with hideous comments about my mother, about her running away and leaving the children. 'Whenever I mention my mother's name within the Royal Family, which I barely do, they come on me like a ton of bricks'. Lady Fermoy's 'real hatchet job' against Frances meant that her own son-in-law - Prince Charles - wouldn't talk to her, according to Diana. The details of their quarrels are not known but in a very public spat Lady Fermoy spoke out against her own daughter during Frances' bitter divorce from John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer In 1969, Lady Fermoy testified against her own daughter in court which led to Diana's father being granted custody of the future princess and her siblings. Diana told Morton that the details of the family drama were never truly revealed to the Princes of Wales. 'The four of us never knew what happened and we don't actually want to know', she said. Born in 1908, Lady Fermoy rose to become an influential figure at court as a friend and confidante of the last Queen Mother, whose outlook had a profound influence on the future Princess of Wales. It has been suggested that Lady Fermoy was among those conniving to bring about a dynastically beneficial but inappropriate marriage between her granddaughter and the future King - although this is something she denied. Diana's own testy relationship with her mother has also been well documented. Frances with her husband John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer. In 1969, Lady Fermoy testified against her own daughter in court which led to Diana's father being granted custody of the future princess and her siblings A particularly sour point in their relationship started around the time of what should have been one of their happiest memories together - Diana's wedding to Prince Charles in July 1981. Morton revealed how Diana felt 'let down terribly' by Frances on her wedding day. 'She kept crying and being all valiant and saying that she couldn't cope with the pressure, I tended to think I was the one under pressure because I was the bride' Diana told Morton. Diana goes on to claim that her mother drove her 'mad' during her engagement and Frances was left 'hurt' when she was not included in preparations for the big day. She even makes the shocking allegation that the stress of the wedding led her mother to begin taking the anxiety medication valium which she was on 'ever since'. After the wedding, Diana said the pair didn't speak to each other for three to four years. Despite this, Frances was spotted at Mary's Hospital following the birth of Prince William in June 1982 with the new grandmother reportedly relieved that Diana would not have to endure the pressure of producing a male heir. Frances bitter split with Diana's father in 1969 had a profound on the future princess. After the four children were left in the care of their father after a fierce custody battle when Diana was seven, Charles Spencer - Diana's younger brother - recalled that 'Diana used to wait on the doorstep for her, but she never came.' He said : 'While she was packing her stuff to leave, she promised Diana she'd come back to see her. 'Our father was a quiet, constant source of love, but our mother wasn't cut out for maternity... she couldn't do it. She was in love with someone else, infatuated really.' Despite her own troubled mother-daughter relationship, by all accounts Frances had a good relationship with her royal grandchildren. William and Harry reportedly enjoyed their visits to Frances home on the rugged and isolated Seil Island off the coast of Scotland which provided a welcome break from royal life for the young princes. However, Diana's status as one of the most famous women in the world drew a further wedge between the mother and daughter. After divorcing John Spencer, Frances married wallpaper tycoon Peter Shand Kydd. By the late 1980s Frances' second marriage had began to deteriorate and she in part blamed Diana for the break-up. Peter allegedly felt overshadowed by his more famous wife after Diana's skyrocketed the popularity of the Spencers. In its obituary for Frances, The Guardian wrote about why Peter divorced her in 1990. 'I think the pressure of it all was overwhelming and, finally, impossible for Peter. They didn't want him. They wanted me. I became Diana's mum, and not his wife,' Frances is quoted as saying. After Diana separated from Charles in 1992, Frances is reported to have not approved of her later relationships. Diana's former butler - Paul Burrell - claimed that she voiced disapproval of Diana's relationships with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan and businessman Gulu Lalvani during a particularly tetchy phone call. Frances tendency to be loose-lipped with members of the press left a damning final legacy in her relationship with Diana. This came after Frances said in an interview months before her daughter's death that it was 'absolutely wonderful' she had been stripped of her HRH title after her divorce from the then Prince Charles, which caused Diana to never speak to her mother again.
