Rain may visit Lko by weekend, till then brace for rising heat
Out of the 32 meteorological stations, day temperatures in 25 cities across Uttar Pradesh have crossed the 40-degree Celsius mark on Wednesday. The forecast for the state weather is most likely dry. The IMD has issued a warning of a heat wave very likely at isolated places over the state.
Maximum and minimum temperature in the state capital on Wednesday was 41.2 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively. However, it felt like 44 degrees, said commuters in the city. (26) and normal (minus 1.5 °C to +1.5 °C) in the remaining divisions. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius in Bahraich.

The India Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted the temperature in northern India to rise in the next 4-5 days, with a possibility of a heat wave in North West India. According to the met department, the heat wave in North West India, specifically in West Rajasthan, would arrive on 9 June. While the South Punjab, South Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, and North Madhya Pradesh, the heat wave is expected to occur on 10 June. Also, in the national capital it is estimated that the temperature will rise by 2-4 degree Celsius over the next 3-4 days, reaching 43-44 degree Celsius. However, there is no alert for NCR Delhi. Among other details, IMD predicted that the monsoon will revive across the entire South Peninsula in next 3-4 days. It added that heavy rainfall may occur in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
