Wild moment two drivers launch into a fistfight at traffic lights in furious road rage incident before a high speed chase through the streets
Social media footage showed a Holden Commodore driver standing in the middle of Currumburra Road at Ashmore on the Gold Coast.
The driver could be seen yelling 'come on' to the driver of a Volkswagen Amarok ute before punching him through his car window.
He could also be heard screaming for the driver to exit the ute before punching him again.
The Volkswagen driver, who had been delaying traffic at a green light, then made a U-turn in front of the Holden.
He then drove back over the median strip to block the Commodore's path.
The vision then showed the Commodore driver getting back into his vehicle before speeding away.
The VW then took off, apparently in pursuit.
The footage has since gone viral, with more than one million views.
Queensland Police said they were aware of the vision but a spokesman added: 'No formal complaint has been made'.
One witness alleged the incident began after the Volkswagen cut off the Commodore on the motorway.
'Guy in the sedan got out and threw a coffee at him,' she wrote on Facebook.
'The ute sped off and the sedan chased after him. Quite scary to witness.'
Other viewers of the footage condemned the embarrassing incident .
'Acting up like toddlers throwing tantrums,' one wrote.
'Light is not getting any greener! just drive away instead of taking one on the chin,' another said.

Australia news live: federal court to hear Bruce Lehrmann appeal; Labor to tweak pension and welfare calculations
Update: Date: 2025-08-19T20:37:32.000Z Title: Federal court to hear Bruce Lehrmann appeal Content: Bruce Lehrmann's appeal against the federal court ruling that he was not defamed by Network 10 and Lisa Wilkinson is due to be heard today. In April last year, Justice Michael Lee found that on the balance of probabilities Lehrmann raped former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins in Parliament House in Canberra in 2019, and that Lehrmann was therefore not defamed when Wilkinson interviewed Higgins about the case on The Project. Lehrmann is appealing on grounds including that the sexual assault described by Lee was 'substantially inconsistent' with the violent rape portrayed on The Project, according to submissions to the appeal filed with the court in March. Lehrmann's legal team say he was denied procedural fairness because the case which was found to be true was not put to him in cross-examination. The appeal against that finding will be heard over three days in Sydney before the full court of justices – Michael Wigney, Craig Colvin, and Wendy Abraham. The hearing starts at 10.15am and we will be blogging updates here. Read more about the appeal here: Update: Date: 2025-08-19T20:34:35.000Z Title: Welcome Content: Good morning and welcome to our live news blog. I'm Martin Farrer with the best of the overnight stories and then Nick Visser will take the wheel. More in a moment. Labor will end the Morrison-era freeze on deeming rates in a move that will see people claiming Centrelink payments pay more in tax on their financial assets. Social services minister, Tanya Plibersek, said incremental rises would take place from next month. More shortly. A man was shot dead in western Sydney last night in the latest shooting to hit the city. Witnesses told police the man was targeted while in a car in Winston Hills. It follows an attack in Forest Lodge on Sunday in which one man was killed and another injured. More details coming up. And today sees the start of Bruce Lehrmann's appeal against last year's loss in his defamation case against Network 10 and Lisa Wilkinson. We'll bring you lots more on that during the day, once it gets going.

Internet star, 33, shot dead in front of her child after driving into road rage argument between other drivers
An Arizona influencer was shot and killed after driving into the crossfire of a road rage incident. Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, 27, was struck by a stray bullet on Friday after two other drivers started fighting at a red light. Glendale police said Jesus Preciado Dousten, 33, was waiting in the center lane while the driver he argued with was stopped in the right lane. Hermosillo's vehicle came to a stop in the left lane and was not involved in the fight. Her boyfriend was driving the car, while she sat in the passenger seat, and her mother and four-year-old son were in the back. As the other vehicles continued to fight, Dousten allegedly pulled out a handgun, pointed it at his own driver's side window and fired a single shot at random. The bullet went through the passenger window of the car on his left and struck Hermosillo in the head. Hermosillo's boyfriend rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. 'My question still is, why would you just randomly shoot the other way? He obviously didn't know the other car was there,' Glendale Police Sgt Brian Hoskins told AZ Family. 'That's the thing, as gun owners, you have to know where you're shooting, what you're pointing at. You know, those are the responsibilities of being a responsible gun owner. You can't just fire rounds randomly throughout. Specifically, a high, highly populated city.' Police used surveillance footage to identify Dousten as the driver and tracked him down. 'Tracking from you know one location to another, switching cameras and continuing to follow the individual,' Hoskins said. Dousten was arrested, and police executed a search warrant at a home he had visited after the shooting and recovered two handguns. He has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons and endangerment, and is being held on $1 million bond. Hermosillo's family has started a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses for the influencer. She amassed over 300,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for her stay-at-home mom and cooking content. 'Yarely was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul whose light touched everyone who knew her,' her family said. 'She leaves behind her husband and their 4-year-old son, who now face an unimaginable loss. 'Yarely's greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she poured her heart into caring for her little boy. 'She was an innocent victim caught in the middle of a road rage incident between others, leaving her family and friends devastated.'
