JUCO World Series bracket, seedings released by NJCAA
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — With all 10 Junior College World Series teams set to begin practicing in Grand Junction Wednesday, the NJCAA released the full seedings Tuesday.
The 2025 Alpine Bank JUCO World Series will begin Saturday 9 a.m. at Suplizio Field with a battle between two teams who were here a year ago: Johnson County vs. McLennan.

Local organizations and agencies to serve the community on National Donut Day
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Friday, June 6, the Salvation Army and Mesa County Sheriff's Office will be celebrating National Donut Day by giving back to the local community. The Grand Junction Salvation Army will be delivering donuts to various locations throughout the day to thank individuals, such as first responders, for their hard work. No charges filed after 3-year-old attacked by five dogs in Johnson County, authorities say
Authorities will not file charges in the case of a 3-year-old boy who was attacked by five dogs in May, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12. / Getty Images "According to my detectives, the dogs belonged to the (child's) grandparents," Chief Deputy James Saulter said. "The dogs were kept properly and have never done anything like this in the past." CareFlite airlifted the boy to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, where he received emergency treatment. He is now recovering. Following the attack, the dogs were placed in a licensed quarantine facility for evaluation and observation. Officials have not released the exact location of the incident.
