Harrison Ford Backs Out of Presenting at the Oscars After Shingles Diagnosis
Ford was scheduled as one of the presenters at the 97th Oscars on Sunday night. However, the 87-year-old actor backed out of presenting Saturday morning following his recent shingles diagnosis, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The actor is reportedly doing OK and resting after receiving the diagnosis on Friday. Shingles is a 'viral infection that causes a painful rash,' according to the Mayo Clinic.
The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to ABC and The Academy for comment.
Earlier this month, Ford attended the Captain America: Brave New World and 1923 season two in Los Angeles. On the 1923 red carpet, he told THR about why he enjoys working on the Western show. 'I love the viscerality of it, I love the physical nature of the storytelling, I love being in natural circumstances, he said. '[It's] a kind of old-fashioned movie-making mostly, no CGI or very little CGI — a little something to sweeten the location. But it's really essential, old-time storytelling and I love working with this kind of material.'
Set as presenters for Hollywood's most star-studded night are Academy Award winners Robert Downey Jr. (Oppenheimer), Emma Stone (Poor Things), (La La Land), Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) will all present. Additional confirmed presenters this year include Oprah Winfrey, Selena Gomez, Ben Stiller, Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Goldie Hawn, Joe Alwyn, Ana de Armas, Connie Nielsen and Lily-Rose Depp.
The Oscars is hosted by Conan O'Brien, and takes place at the Dolby Theatre. The ceremony airs live on ABC and is available for streaming on Hulu on March 2 starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

Lou Adler & Tim Curry to Appear at 50th Anniversary Screening of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show'
The Rocky Horror Picture Show didn't receive a single Oscar nomination when it was released in 1975, but the film has since become a cult classic, so much so that even the Motion Picture Academy has taken notice. On Sept. 26, the Academy Museum in Los Angeles will host a '50th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show' program. Music industry legend Lou Adler, who was one of the producers of the film; Tim Curry, who starred in the film as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite alien scientist; and Sins O' The Flesh are scheduled to appear. 'Join us for a sing-along and shadow cast experience for this one-night-only 50th anniversary program,' the event's notes advise.
