Woman arrested after reportedly kidnapping, attacking a child in Dayton, police say
A 33-year-old woman was arrested after a reported assault and kidnapping in Dayton over the weekend, according to Dayton Police Department Lieutenant Steven Bauer.

Dayton police responded to reports of a kidnapping on West Hillcrest Avenue around 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 22.

Around the same time, officers were also called to a complaint of abuse at an address on Lexington Avenue, according to Bauer.
When officers arrived at the address on West Hillcrest Avenue, they learned that a 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man went into the house and started attacking a 12-year-old.
The suspects allegedly forced the child into a car and drove to a house on Lexington Avenue, Bauer said.
They reportedly attacked the child again at the house.
Officers found the 12-year-old at the Lexington Avenue address and called for medical help, according to Bauer.
Officers on scene arrested the woman, but it is unclear what charges she may be facing.
Bauer said investigators determined that the 12-year-old may be a sexual assault suspect.
CARE House detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating.

Woman and family members kill her husband in self-defense at Buckhead apartment complex, police say
Atlanta police are investigating a fight between a husband and wife that turned deadly in Buckhead. At about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the Cortland Peachtree Battle apartment complex at 2420 Peachtree Road in Atlanta to reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man dead in a hallway. Atlanta Police Homicide Commander Andrew Smith said a man in his mid-30s entered the apartment building, approached the apartment of his wife, also in her mid-30s, and fired two shots. Smith said the man and woman were in the process of getting a divorce. Police aren't sure at this time how he was able to enter the building and have not revealed how the woman and her family members killed the man. Police urge anyone with information about this shooting to call Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous. 26-year-old man dead after motorcycle hits tree in Warren County
A 26-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash in Warren County on Wednesday. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] State troopers from the Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded at 8:23 p.m. to reports of a crash on North Waynesville Road, north of Hollingsworth Road in Turtle Creek Township. The 26-year-old man who died has been identified as Mathew Schmitz of Fairfield Township, according to an OSHP spokesperson.
