FLOYD SCHOFIELD is out to make it up to his little boy for cancelling a trip to Disneyland after the mysterious collapse of his last fight.
Schofield was due to challenge for Shakur Stevenson's WBC lightweight world title in Saudi Arabia in February.

His dad and trainer even went as far as to sensationally claim his son had been POISONED -
Schofield later returned home to the US and had to break the news to his baby son that their celebratory trip to Disneyland had been KOd.
He said: "Actually, when I first got back from Saudi, I would say it was a little sad because I was a new dad, I couldn't be around my son for like three months.

"I gave my son a promise, after I get the green belt, we'll go to Disney, so I didn't really get to fulfil that.
"So seeing him come back and I had nothing to show for it that like put me in a very bad depressed state.
"I wasn't one to believe in depression really but actually going through it is a real thing.
"I'm just glad I have my dad, my fiancee, my son and they got me back to where I was supposed to be."

Schofield, 22, now returns on Saturday against ex-featherweight champ Tevin Farmer, 34, on the Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr undercard.
And he plans to finally take his nine-month old son away after the fight - this time on a European getaway.

He said: "I wanna take them somewhere that other kids have not been able to go somewhere like Greece or somewhere that a nine month old don't go, so something nice."

Schofield was pulled out of his bout against Stevenson, 27, by the British Boxing Board of Control - who oversaw the event - after a health check.
His dad's allegations of poisoning were never proven and Schofield never explained his mystery illness - and it looks as though he never will.
He said: "I just want to leave stuff in the past. Whatever happened, happened. I'm not trying to get into that.
"I'm just looking forward and if me and Shakur are going to run it in the future, so be it. But right now I've just got to look at Tevin Farmer."

Schofield confirmed his health woes are past him - even managing to find light of the situation with sceptical fans online.
He said: "Yeah, I'm good. I have been trolling people in the comments. They're like, 'Hopefully he shows up.' I'm like, 'I might, I'll think about it.'"

Faith Kipyegon falls short in bid for first sub-four-minute mile
Kenya's Faith Kipyegon fell short in her attempt to become the first woman to run a mile in under four minutes when she clocked 4:06.42 in a Nike "Breaking4" project that, though faster than her own world record, will not be ratified. The 31-year-old triple world and Olympic 1,500 metres champion had needed to take more than seven seconds off her own 2023 world record of 4:07.64 but, despite a series of aids, managed just over one second. She was helped by innovative new kit, super-spikes and, crucially, a phalanx of mostly male pacers who blocked the wind on the four and a bit laps of the Stade Charlety track where she set her 1,500m world record last year. Irish 1500m runner, Cathal Doyle, was one of the athletes that was be part of that large pacing team, which set up to create specific formations to ensure optimal pacing and drafting. Dressed in a black one-pieced suit with black arm warmers, the diminutive Kenyan was swamped by her group of pacers, mostly men and all world class athletes themselves. In a pre-designed plan, Doyle was part of a group of five men who ran in a line in front of Kipyegon as "the shield" with American double Olympic bronze medallist Grant Fisher on her shoulder. She was about on course at halfway but began to slip behind the coloured pacing lights inside the track and drifted on the final lap as she tied up over the last 200 metres. Those male pacers meant, just as with compatriot Eliud Kipchoge's sub-two-hour marathon run with "in and out" pacers in 2019, that the new mark will not be recognised as a world record. Kipyegon, however, was her usual upbeat self at the finish. "I'm tired but I feel good and I tried," she said, thanking the crowd of around a thousand people who had given her enthusiastic support. "That is why I was coming here - to try to be the first woman to run under four minutes. It's only a matter of time but I think it will come our way. If it's not me, it will be someone else. "So, yeah, I know one day, one time, a woman will run under four. I will not lose hope. I will still go for it and if there's not something like this, a special one, I think in a normal Diamond League, or anything, I will still go for it and I hope I will get it one day." Britain's Roger Bannister was the first man to go under four minutes in May 1954, with compatriot Diane Leather the first woman to break five minutes later the same month. The current men's record is the 3:43.13 set by Hicham El Guerrouj in 1999.

Anna Wintour to step aside as editor of American Vogue
British-born Dame Anna will remain in charge of Vogue globally and as chief content officer of the media company Conde Nast – which oversees several prominent media brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Allure, Conde Nast Traveler and Wired. The new role at American Vogue will allow her to turn her full attention to her other duties in these roles, it is understood. Dame Anna broke the news to staff during a meeting earlier on Thursday. According to Vogue, she told staff she wanted to 'help the next generation of editors storm the field with their own ideas'. She said: 'Anybody in a creative field knows how essential it is never to stop growing in one's work. When I became the editor of Vogue, I was eager to prove to all who might listen that there was a new, exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine. 'Now, I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas, supported by a new, exciting view of what a major media company can be. And that is exactly the kind of person we need to now look for to be HOEC for US Vogue.' She said many of her responsibilities would continue including 'paying close attention to the fashion industry and the creative cultural force that is our extraordinary Met Ball', and also quipped: 'And it goes without saying that I plan to remain Vogue's tennis and theatre editor in perpetuity.' Dame Anna added: 'But how thrilling it will be to work alongside someone new who will challenge us, inspire us, and make us all think about Vogue in a myriad of original ways.' The move brings a close to Dame Anna's 37-year stint as editor of American Vogue, having overseen the day-to-day editing of the New York fashion magazine since 1988.
