Los Angeles, Jul 21 (PTI) Hollywood actor Jennifer Love Hewitt says she hasn't spoken to her "I Know What You Did Last Summer" co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar for the last 28 years.
Hewitt and Gellar featured in Jim Gillespie's directorial, which was released in 1997. The film also starred Freddie Prinze Jr and Ryan Phillippe.
Despite avoiding any communication, Hewitt confirmed both have been on good terms and didn't have a fight, as some rumours claimed.
"I honestly don't even know what that was or how that all came to be. I just think people don't want the narrative to be easy. Why do we always have to be against each other and out for each other," she told entertainment news outlet Vulture in an interview.
The 46-year-old actor, also known for her work in projects such as "Can't Hardly Wait" and "Ghost Whisperer", added, "I haven't seen Sarah. Literally, we've not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out. That's why it's so funny to me. People were like, 'Say something back' And I'm like, 'What am I going to say? I've not seen her.' On my side, we're good. I have no idea where this is coming from."
Both actors, however, returned for the film's reboot, which was released on July 18. The film has been directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and also stars Madelyn Cline, Lola Tung and Chase Sui Wonders, among others. Sam Lansky wrote the screenplay for it.

Raja Raghuvanshi murder case to be turned into a film; family hopes to present correct image of Meghalaya: Deets Inside

The real-life murder case of Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, who was killed during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, is now being turned into a film. The crime, which made national headlines earlier this year, shocked the country with its twists of betrayal and horror. Now, the victim's family has agreed to share his story on the big screen—hoping to bring justice and truth to light. Family gives green signal for film As reported by PTI, Raja's family has given their permission for the film, which is tentatively titled 'Honeymoon in Shillong'. 'We gave our consent for the upcoming film on the murder case. We believe that if we do not bring the story of my brother's murder on the big screen, people will not be able to know who was right and who was wrong?' said Raja's elder brother Sachin. The film aims to show not just what happened, but also who was really at fault. It's a way for the family to share Raja's side of the story with the public. Brother wants truth about Meghalaya Raja's other brother, Vipin, said the family also wants to highlight that the state of Meghalaya should not be seen in a bad light because of the incident. 'We want to present the correct image of Meghalaya through the film,' he said. The family believes the film can help clear misunderstandings and show that the crime should not reflect badly on the place itself. Director says betrayal must stop The film is being directed by SP Nimbawat, who shared that the idea behind the project is to give a strong message. 'Through our film, we want to give a message to the public that such incidents of betrayal should be stopped,' he said. He added that the script is ready and the team is preparing for the shoot. Most of filming in Indore Without naming any actors, Nimbawat said, '80 per cent of its shooting will be done in Indore and the remaining 20 per cent in different areas of Meghalaya.' This way, the film will stay close to both Raja's hometown and the place where the shocking events unfolded. The crime that shocked India Raja had travelled to Meghalaya in May with his wife, Sonam, for their honeymoon. But days later, he went missing. His body was found on 2 June in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) in East Khasi Hills district. The case soon turned darker when police arrested eight people in connection with the murder, including Raja's wife Sonam and her suspected lover, Raj Kushwaha.
