Brazilian woman shares love story with Indian man, says ‘Different cultures but…'

A love story between a Brazilian woman and an Indian man is melting hearts everywhere. A video shows how the two, defying all challenges and stereotypes, met on social media during Covid and got married within five months of knowing each other. The user named Taina Shah took to her Instagram account to share a couple of pictures documenting their journey. "We share our multicultural love story, break taboos, and speak up for open minds about colourism. We celebrate a love that crosses cultures, challenges stereotypes, and inspires others to embrace diversity," Shah wrote in the post. She highlighted her first meeting with her now husband during Covid, when he travelled to Brazil to meet her at a time when there were no vaccines yet. "We fell in love and got married just five months after we met. When you know, you know," Shah added. The duo tied the knot in Brazil in the presence of her husband's Gujarati family, whose blessings she said had been with them from the start of their relationship. "We came from different cultures but our values are the same. Our love and admiration grow stronger every day. Thankful to the universe for guiding our souls together," she wrote. The post quickly went viral on social media, racking up thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, with netizens pouring in congratulatory messages. "Love is love, no matter how far it is. Hema Malini recalls doing her own stunts in 'Sholay,' reveals initial disappointment with Basanti's role, and plans to show the classic to her grandchildren

As Ramesh Sippy 's 'Sholay' completed 50 years on Friday, Hema Malini looked back on her experience of playing Basanti, one of Hindi cinema's most iconic characters. Speaking to IANS, the actress revealed that during her prime years, filmmakers often wrote action sequences especially for her. 'If Hema Malini is there in the film, we must make her fight; that was the sentiment,' she laughed. In Sholay, too, she was given memorable stunt sequences, particularly the now-legendary tanga chase where Basanti bravely drives the horse cart while dacoits pursue her. 'Every scene in the film is a moving shot; nothing is static. That's why the film still feels alive after all these years,' she reflected. Wanting more from Basanti at first Interestingly, Hema admitted she wasn't thrilled when Sippy first narrated Basanti's role to her. Coming fresh off the blockbuster Seeta Aur Geeta, where she carried the film on her shoulders, she worried Basanti might be overshadowed. 'I was disappointed at first. I thought, 'Why such a small role for me when there are so many other characters?'' she recalled. It was only after Sippy assured her that Basanti's character would leave a strong emotional and cinematic impact that she agreed. Today, Basanti's witty, bold, and spirited presence is regarded as one of the most beloved parts of Sholay's timeless ensemble. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? Watch: Indian Woman Joins Korean Boyfriend's Family Feast, Wins Hearts Online

Dating someone from another culture often means your taste buds end up dating too. Suddenly, dinner isn't just pizza or pasta; it is you learning how to eat with chopsticks, or them trying to handle your version of "not that spicy" curry. Those little food moments, laughing over mispronounced dish names, trading recipes from home, or introducing each other to comfort food, become some of the sweetest parts of the relationship. That's exactly what Indian content creator Piyusha Patil showed when she shared her experience of spending Lunar New Year with her South Korean boyfriend's family. Her video, posted on Instagram, was about sharing food and those small cultural surprises that make cross-cultural relationships so memorable. The main dish of the day was Mandu Tteokguk, which is dumpling rice cake soup, a staple of the celebration. Piyusha rolled up her sleeves and joined the family in preparing Mandus. Huge containers of filling were set out, and everyone sat around shaping dumplings together. Some were perfectly neat, others were made into fun little shapes, each one carrying a bit of personality. "His dad and uncle were in the kitchen, while we were on duty to fill up the Mandus," she shared. "Honestly, it was a fun time. I told his family all the funny stories I knew." Of course, no family cooking session is complete without a quick grocery run. "We had to go out to get one missing ingredient, which is something that often happens in Indian families too," Piyusha said. After coming back, her boyfriend chopped strawberries and grapes into a fruit salad. What really stood out was a thoughtful gesture from her boyfriend's father. Knowing she might miss the taste of home, he prepared a dahi dish for her, and also got curry mix and naan just for her. The final spread was a feast: fish, meat, prawns, veggies, and of course, the Mandu Tteokguk. "It was so delicious, I ended up with a food coma," Piyusha joked. After the meal, the younger family members bowed to their elders as part of the Lunar New Year ritual. Piyusha joined in and was gifted a box of sweets, chocolates, and even an envelope of money, just like the rest of the family. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Piyusha Patil (@piyuchino) Although the video was first shared some months ago, it has continued to make the rounds online. Here's how Instagram users reacted in the comments section: A user commented, "So thoughtful that his dad got you curry and naan." Another wrote, "I love how the whole family shares the weight of cooking and stuff!" A third said, "The family is soooo sweet." "So happy for you," someone added.
