Beyoncé wraps first U.S. 'Cowboy Carter' leg in New York, fans celebrate mid-show
Beyoncé Knowles Carter has closed out her first stint of U.S. concerts on her "Cowboy Carter" tour, and fans attending her last show in the New York area didn't wait to celebrate.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her show around 8:18 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on May 29. The concert marked Beyoncé's fifth and final show performing in the New York area — East Rutherford, New Jersey — on her Cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She first hit the MetLife stage on May 22.
"I've worked so hard for almost 30 years, and I've grinded and grinded and y'all have supported me through all of those years. If it wasn't for y'all support, I wouldn't be here," she told the crowd as she opened the show.
The electric energy that welcomed her to the stage continued throughout the night. And at one point, the crowd erupted into cheers, saying the singer's name as she sang her 2006 hit "Irreplaceable."
As the crowd chanted "Beyoncé, Beyoncé!" it was clear the singer took a moment to revel in the energy.
Of course, Beyoncé first released the 27-track project in March 2024. It has since made history and broken multiple records. As Beyoncé's first country album, she deliberately featured country legends and emerging Black country artists alike. She became the first Black woman to win best country album at the 2025 Grammys and also took home album of the year.
As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. The concerts have been a revolutionary showcase for family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. Beyoncé has already made history with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist.
Her next stop will be in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 and 16.

Lisa Matches BTS's Historic Radio Record

Later this week, Maroon 5 will release a new album, Love Is Like, the group's eighth full-length. The set, expected on August 15, has pushed several singles from its tracklist, but only one has made any real commercial impact. The Grammy-winning act recruited Blackpink star Lisa for 'Priceless,' and her fame helped turn the tune into a hit on the Billboard charts. Just ahead of Love Is Like arriving, 'Priceless' climbs on multiple radio rosters in America. As it ascends, Lisa matches a record previously managed by some of the biggest K-pop stars in history. Lisa's Collaboration Reaches a New Peak The song lifts a single spot on the Adult Contemporary chart this time around, in its twelfth frame on the roster. The Maroon 5 collaboration settles at No. 16 — a new peak position. Lisa Ties BTS and Rosé No. 16 stands as the highest spot any K-pop act has reached on the Adult Contemporary chart. Lisa joins three other tunes: 'Apt.' by Rosé and Bruno Mars, 'Dynamite' by BTS, and 'My Universe,' the same septet's team-up with Coldplay. All four cuts stalled at No. 16. Lisa's 'Priceless' Could Climb Even Higher No. 16 seems to be a stopping point for K-pop stars on the Adult Contemporary chart, but Lisa may be able to break out of the mold and pass her Blackpink bandmate and BTS. Promotion of all things Maroon 5 — including 'Priceless' and Love Is Like — is at an all-time high, since the album drops in just a few days. That may help Lisa's cut gain ground on the airplay tally, one of three focused on pop music published by Billboard. There's a good chance that 'Priceless' will climb again in the coming week or possibly several weeks. If it manages to ascend by even one more spot, Lisa will claim the highest-charting single of all time by any K-pop act on the tally. 'Priceless' Lives on Every Pop Radio Rankin 'Priceless' currently appears on all three of Billboard's pop radio lists. As it hits a new high on the Adult Contemporary chart, the tune returns to its all-time best showing on the Adult Pop Airplay list, stepping up from No. 7 to No. 6. At the same time, it declines yet again on the Pop Airplay ranking, the most competitive of the bunch. 14 weeks into its lifespan on that roster, 'Priceless' dips 10 spots to No. 32, and it may disappear soon.

The Life of a Prolific Pop Star: ‘Showgirl' Will Be Taylor Swift's Ninth Full-Length Album of the 2020s

There are many reasons for Taylor Swift's extraordinary success: talent, resilience, courage and, not least, a work ethic that is second to none. The country-turned-pop superstar is tireless and extraordinary productive. Her just-announced The Life of a Showgirl will be her ninth full-length album of the 2020s. And that doesn't even count live albums. Swift has been a prolific and engaged artist since she released her eponymous debut album in October 2006. Her longest gap between regular studio albums was just over three years – the gap between 1989 (October 2014) and reputation (November 2017). More from Billboard Taylor Swift Announces New Album, 'The Life of a Showgirl' Taylor Swift's 50 Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits Taylor Swift Curates Playlist for New Album 'The Life of a Showgirl' But she has picked up the pace in the 2020s. As this decade began, Swift had achieved six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and had become the first woman to win the Grammy for album of the year twice as a lead artist. One might reasonably think that an artist who had achieved that much success and validation would let up on the pace a bit, perhaps even take a well-earned breather. Instead, Swift has redoubled her efforts. Two factors played a role in this explosion of activity. COVID-19, which was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization in March 2020, led Swift to record two albums in quick succession, Folklore and its 'sister record,' Evermore. They were released less than five months apart in 2020. And Swift's desire to reclaim control of her artistic legacy led her to re-record four of her early albums. Those re-recordings didn't slow the pace of new studio albums. Swift somehow found the time and energy to toggle back and forth between new albums and re-recordings of old ones. In addition to these nine new and re-recorded albums, Swift has also released two live albums in the 2020s – Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions and Lover (Live from Paris). (Technically, there was a third: Live From Clear Channel Stripped 2008 was released in April 2020 without Swift's approval. Swift bluntly denounced the release on her social media accounts, calling it 'shameless greed in the time of coronavirus' and asked fans not to buy or stream the album. They complied: The album flopped.) Just about any talent scout will say that talent is not enough to achieve and sustain success in the music business. A strong will to succeed, and a willingness to do whatever that takes, are just as important. You can call it a 'work ethic.' Swift has it in spades. Why This Former Led Zeppelin Member Will Never Play 'Stairway to Heaven' Again

Why This Former Led Zeppelin Member Will Never Play 'Stairway to Heaven' Again originally appeared on Parade. Led Zeppelin is one of the most iconic classic rock bands, and "Stairway to Heaven" is frequently cited as one of the greatest classic rock songs of all time. The epic eight-minute track is famed for its slow opening riff, its soft vocals, and Jimmy Page's bombastic guitar shredding in the song's final third. While Zeppelin broke up in 1980, the band's three surviving members—Page, singer Robert Plant, and bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones—reunited for one night only in 2007. The event was recorded and released in 2012 as the film Celebration Day. While Plant, Jones, and Page are all still alive, they've made it clear that another reunion concert will never happen again. Why? Because they want to remember it for what it was and leave it in that moment in time. Now, as Plant gears up to release a new album with his new band, Saving Grace, he's revealed that he doesn't just feel that way about performing with his old bandmates, but about performing their hit songs as well. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Plant spoke to Mojoabout the pressure from fans to play the hits—and why he refuses to do it. 'What were the hits?" the Grammy winner asked. "How can they be related to now, where do they fit? They fit as a sort of memoir…' He continued to address why he'll never play Led Zeppelin's greatest hit. 'When people say that I don't like 'Stairway to Heaven,' I just don't like the idea of it," Plant explained. "These iconic things – they're just what they are." Plant has a point. Some things are better left untouched and left in a moment in time, like an iconic classic song or a whirlwind vacation romance. Saving Grace's album, also called Saving Grace, will be released on September 26.
