Rod Stewart Cancels Additional U.S. Tour Dates Due to Illness: ‘I'm Devastated'
On Saturday (June 7), the 80-year-old music icon announced on social media that he is canceling four concerts and rescheduling two others due to ongoing health concerns.

'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' Sir Rod wrote on Instagram. 'So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon.'
Three of the canceled shows (June 7-10) were part of his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Another canceled show in Nevada was set for June 14 in Lake Tahoe. Two California dates — Rancho Mirage on June 12 and Paso Robles on June 15 — have been rescheduled for Sept. 20 and 21, respectively.
Earlier in the week, Stewart — who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards in May — had already postponed his June 1 and June 5 shows at Caesars Palace, citing an unspecified illness.
Looking ahead, the 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?' singer is scheduled to return to his native U.K. for a high-profile appearance on the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29. He recently revealed that he'll be joined by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, reuniting their classic 1960s–1970s band Faces.
Other 2025 Glastonbury headliners include The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.
Following Glastonbury, Stewart will return to North America in July, performing across the U.S. and Canada before resuming his Las Vegas residency in late September. After that, he's set for a run of South American dates before heading to Europe to finish out the year.

Liam and Noel Gallagher have just wound up the first round of UK and Irish dates on their sold-out Live '25 tour and in a testament to the breathless enthusiasm that's greeted their first round of shows in more than 16 years they've hardly had to talk up the dates at all. Noel said he's on 'top of the world' at the moment, professing to be 'completely blown away' by how the gigs the reunited band have played so far have been received. 'It's difficult to put into words, actually,' said the band's lyricist. 'Every night is the crowd's first night, so every night's got that same kind of energy. It's been truly amazing… I'm not usually short for words, but I can't really articulate it at the minute.' Asked how he was feeling on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, when the band were gearing up to take the stage for the first show of a tour pretty much nobody thought would ever happen, Noel said Oasis have never been one of those bands who have a prayerful 'huddle' before they go on. That said, speaking just for himself, Noel admitted he, 'grossly underestimated what I was getting into… After about five minutes I was like, 'All right, can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again?' I've done stadiums before and all but, but I don't mind telling you my legs are turned to jelly after about halfway through the second song.' Summing it up, Noel said simply, 'it's been an amazing thing.' Reflecting on the emotional hug the brothers shared at the end of the first reunion show in July, Noel said, 'we're not those kind of guys, really… It's great just to be back with [guitarist] Bonehead and Liam and just be doing it again. I guess when it's all said and done we'll sit and reflect on it, but it's great being back in a band with Liam. I forgot how funny he was.' Giving his former sibling rival props for sounding great at the shows, Noel said, 'Liam's smashing it. I'm proud of him.' After fronting his own band for the 16 years they were apart — the High Flying Birds — Noel said he knows the pressures of being the lead singer and admitted, 'I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does it…. I kind of look around and I think, 'You know, good for you, mate.' He's been amazing.' Also, in case you were wondering, yes, he's still getting hit up all the time by mates looking to score the hard-to-get tickets. 'When it all started, the ticket sales and all that, there was a few people who I would have expected to [be] looking for tickets who didn't,' he said. 'But after the first gig my phone just exploded.' Saying he feels bad for those who are left outside on the streets singing the band's songs at top volume after getting shut out on getting tickets, Noel said the showering of love is 'mental… it's more than the band. It's more than the songs. There's something else going on that we've not quite been able to our fingers on yet. Looking forward, Noel said he's really looking forward to playing one of the band's last shows, at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Nov. 15 and 16. 'We've played there a couple of times and the Argentinians are without doubt in the top five places for us to play in the world.' Tory Lanez's lawyers push to overturn conviction in Megan Thee Stallion shooting case
As Tory Lanez serves a 10-year prison sentence for the shooting that injured Megan Thee Stallion, the rapper's lawyers are working to appeal his 2022 conviction. Speaking to a panel of judges in California's Second District Court of Appeal on Aug. 18, Lanez's attorney, Laura Cepero, argued that the DNA evidence the prosecution presented during his trial was misleading, according to Billboard and XXL Magazine. "It is actually marginally more likely that another member of the African American population touched this gun over Mr. Peterson," Cepero said, according to the outlets. "If our jury had heard that Mr. Peterson maybe one in a million touched the gun, I believe that would have been enough to tip that scale and show reasonable doubt." Another attorney on Lanez's defense team, Jose A. Baez, told USA TODAY in a statement, "I would say it is a statistical fact that any random African American male was more likely a contributor to the DNA on the gun than Daystar Peterson. "In fact, the DNA community has a random profile that is used as a control sample, and that profile was determined to match the mixture found on the gun rather than Daystar Peterson," he continued. "To be clear, it would be reckless and a complete fabrication to say that Tory's DNA was on that gun and to not exclude him as a contributor." 'Recovering remarkably': Tory Lanez's father gives health update after prison stabbing During arguments on behalf of the prosecution, according to courtroom footage shared by XXL Magazine and journalist Meghann Cuniff, California Deputy Attorney General Michael C. Keller said, "There's three times in which (Lanez) tacitly admitted to being the shooter." Among the evidence, Keller said, was a text to Megan in which he apologized to her for something that "never should have happened," blamed alcohol for the unspecified action and said she "probably" would never talk to him again. During the trial, Lanez denied that the messages were related to the shooting. "He was clearly accepting responsibility for something very big," Keller told the judges, per the videos. USA TODAY has reached out to the California Attorney General's office for comment. During Lanez's closely watched trial, it was determined that the DNA found on the handgun that discharged the bullet was inconclusive. Tory Lanez dealt legal blow after prison stabbing The oral arguments took place in Los Angeles nearly a week after appeals court judges largely denied two of his petitions related to the case, according to court records reviewed by USA TODAY. In the filings, known as habeas corpus petitions, Lanez's legal team reportedly challenged his conviction by alleging they have obtained new testimony, according to Rolling Stone and Billboard. They also once again cast doubt on some of the evidence presented during his 2022 trial, the outlets reported. The appeals court rulings were filed Aug. 12. Previously, in a May 19 TikTok post, Megan hit back after Lanez's team indicated they had new information that corroborated his claim that he did not fire the weapon. "At what point are y'all gonna stop making me have to re-live being shot BY TORY !?" she wrote. "At what point are Tory and y'all FANS gonna stop lying? ... FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT." In May, Lanez was hospitalized after he was stabbed multiple times by a fellow inmate. Afterward, his father announced that he was "recovering remarkably." Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted in 2022 of shooting Megan in the ankle after an alleged argument in the Los Angeles area. The Canadian singer-songwriter, who pleaded not guilty on all counts ahead of his trial, was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm; having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. In a partnership with the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Australian native, 57, has launched the Keith Urban Rising Star Scholarship. The program will bring an artist from the Land Down Under to Nashville, Tennessee, as part of an all-expenses-paid trip, Billboard reported. The lucky musician will have "unprecedented access" to the city's music scene, including the chance to perform and write, per the outlet. The artist will also be introduced to personnel from the music business and have two days of recording time at Urban's studio, The Sound, which he purchased in June 2024, according to Mixonline. "Sometimes all a musician needs is an opportunity to be heard or someone to help nurture their talent. Having the opportunity to do that not only inspires me, I'm hoping that in some way this scholarship will serve to inspire others," Urban said, per Billboard. The four-time Grammy Award-winner has a long history with the Tamworth Country Music Festival. In 1989, he won the Star Maker competition at the Australia-based event, which helped lead him to worldwide stardom. The "Blue Ain't Your Color' singer was just 22 at the time. The 2026 Tamworth Country Music Festival will take place from January 16-25. "Held in Australia's Country Music Capital, Tamworth, the Toyota Country Music Festival is recognised as Australia's largest and longest country music festival in the southern hemisphere!" the festival's website states. Artists interested in the Rising Scar Scholarship can apply at beggining in January 2026. Country music is highly popular in the Land Down Under. According to a July 2023 report from The Music Network, data from Luminate placed Australia as the world's No. 3 market for country music, right behind the U.S. and Canada. Urban is currently on his 2025 High and Alive World Tour, which began on May 22 in Orange Beach, Alabama. The tour headed to Australia on August 13 and will also travel to Canada before returning to the U.S. The "Somebody Like You" singer will wrap up the tour on October 17 in Nashville.
