For his part, PM Salam also issued a statement condemning the strikes calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities to deter 'Israel' from continuing its attacks and oblige it to fully withdraw from the points it still occupies in south Lebanon. Commenting on the Israeli aggression, Speaker Nabih Berri said that his stance matches with that of President Aoun 'in all its national aspects.' 'Israeli hostility does not target a sect or a region, but rather all of Lebanon, the Lebanese, and the Arabs,' Speaker Berri stated, in remarks carried by Al-Manar.
