And after a failed prison break, Mick was banged up for good.
In tonight's episode he made one final appearance from prison to speak to son Brody.
Brody told his dad he would get the girls and they'd move to be near whatever prison he ended up.
But in a chilling scene, Mick turned on Brody and disowned him.
'You finished? Because I'll be honest lad, all I hear is a lot of whining. You seriously think I want to see you again after all of this?
'And don't you dad me. Don't you dare call me that ever again. Ever again, do you hear me? I'm not your dad and I never was.
'You think I want to see you? Have you come visit me? Don't make me laugh. You or the girls. Or your mum. Any of you.
'But especially you Brody because the others, at least they're family but you are nothing to me.
'The one good thing to come from this is not having you as a son anymore. You're his, and that disgusts me. You disgust me and I…'
Mick put the phone down, hid it under his bed as the guards opened the door to him.
Head in his hands, that was Mick's final appearance on Coronation Street.
Actor Joe Layton has now left the soap having fulfilled his contract and intended storyline.

Jack P. Shepherd marries Hanni Treweek in 'no expense spared' Manchester wedding
Coronation Street favourite Jack P. Shepherd is officially a married man after tying the knot with fiancée Hanni Treweek in a lavish ceremony today. The David Platt actor, who has starred in the ITV soap since 2000, has been dating Hanni since 2017, having met the scriptwriter while she worked on Corrie. On June 5 last year, while on safari, he popped the question, and it's been all systems go for wedding prep ever since, with the lovebirds keeping their fans updated on dress fittings, cake tastings, and pre-parties galore while counting down the days. And this weekend, it all came to a head, as soap co-stars packed out Manchester Cathedral to celebrate their nuptials. Jack, 37, arrived at the venue with his mum and young son, Reuben, whom he shares with ex Lauren Shippey. Looking dapper in a cream tux, Jack added a stylish edge with a pair of shades. Pulling up in the coolest possible way, he sat backseat in a red Mustang car, beaming with excitement. Meanwhile, bride Hanni, 35, was seen arriving at the iconic Gothic venue with her flock of bridesmaids, who aided in carrying her extravagant train. She opted for an elegant lace gown, complete with intricate floral detailing and long sleeves. With a veil over her face, she wore natural yet glowing makeup, styled her raven locks in loose waves, and clutched a bouquet. In attendance were a whole host of familiar faces, including Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith and Ben Price, who plays Nick Tilsley. The close pals, who also co-host a podcast with Jack, arrived smiling from ear to ear, wearing matching suits and with flowers on their lapels to complement Hanni's arrangement. Other guests included Bethany Platt actress Lucy Fallon, who donned a very on-trend pastel yellow frock, while Sarah Platt's Tina O'Brien and Shona's Julia Goulding went for floor-length, ruffled ensembles. There was also Mikey North, who plays Gary Windass, Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster, Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, and Alan Halsall, aka Tyrone Dobbs. They wer joined by Chris Hughes, who made it to the final of Celebrity Big Brother with Jack earlier this year. Flying solo, he was without girlfriend JoJo Siwa by his side, having just jetted back from the States. Completing the starry crowd were Maria Connor star Samia Longchambon, who was accompanied by her pro skater husband Sylvain, and Gail Platt legend Helen Worth, who recently bowed out of the soap after 50 years on screens. After Jack and Hanni exchanged vows, they emerged from the church to a shower of confetti, sharing a smooch in front of their nearest and dearest. Neither bride nor groom could've looked happier as their loved ones cheered and snapped photos. Ahead of their wedding, it was said that 'no expense' had been spared to ensure Jack and Hanni had a day to remember. A source told The Sun: 'Jack and Hanni are having their big white wedding at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday. They have gone all out to make sure it's their dream day, and there has been no expense spared. 'It's a very grand setting getting wed at the cathedral, and it will be packed with guests, including many of Jack's Corrie co-stars. 'They have hired top Manchester security service Capricorn to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day, and after the ceremony, everyone will head to the five-star Lowry hotel for a lavish after-party. 'Drake is even staying there at the moment, so who knows, he may well end up crashing the bash.' Jack also previously confessed that he took part in CBB to help pay for his luxury wedding, not expecting to emerge as the winner of the show. More Trending Then, a month before saying 'I do,' Hanni posted on Instagram: 'Seven incredible years of memories with you. 'Here's to four weeks of feeling excited, nervous, overwhelmed, emotional, in love and everything else that comes with being a bride. 'I can't wait to marry you.' Police offer £20,000 reward for information over fatal stabbing
Police are offering £20,000 for any information into the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in an east London park, a year after his death. Imran Maroof, 20, was killed on 27 July last year after reports of a fight in Plashet Park, Newham. Police officers arrived at the scene at 7.38pm to find the young man with stab injuries. Despite attempts by the emergency services to stabilise Mr Maroof, the Metropolitan Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old boy who could not be named for legal reasons was arrested the following month in connection with the murder, appearing later at Bexley Magistrates' Court, but he was subsequently released. A spokesperson for the force said the case against the teenager was then dropped. Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend from Specialist Crime South said Mr Maroof's murder had a 'profound impact' on the young man's family, adding that the Met 'remains committed' to finding his killer. 'Imran's family and friends continue to live with the trauma,' she said. 'One year has passed since this senseless killing, and the Met remains committed to bringing those who killed Imran to justice. 'If you were in the vicinity of Plashet Park on the day of the stabbing or know anything that could help us, we need you to contact us.' Police have released a photo of the victim, with independent charity Crimestoppers offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information. Alexa Loukas, London regional manager for Crimestoppers, said: 'We know that some people may be reluctant or worried to speak directly to the police with information, which is why Crimestoppers is here. 'We are completely independent and guarantee you will remain 100% anonymous when you contact us. 'We offer a safe way for anyone to come forward and tell us what they know but not who they are. 'We are unable to identify any phone numbers or IP addresses if you are reporting online. 'Imran's family deserve answers, and we hope this reward will encourage someone to do the right thing and speak up with any information that may help the police.' Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting crime reference 6541/27JUL. Alternatively, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Strictly's Anton Du Beke opens up about wife Hannah's ‘cruel and inexplicable' diagnosis in heartbreaking comments
STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has opened up about his wife Hannah Summers' deeply harrowing experience with endometriosis and the effect it had on their journey to parenthood. The 59-year-old, who recently joined Celebrity Gogglebox, got married to marketing executive Hannah in 2017 and the pair welcomed their twins George and Henrietta through IVF. 4 4 4 Now Anton has revealed that his spouse had big reservations about her ability to start a family as a result of her condition. While appearing on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, the BBC One star expressed: 'I knew I wanted to be with her, I saw her with her nephews. She's so kind and so caring, I just couldn't understand the universe. 'And whoever is upstairs, if anyone's upstairs, looking down and going 'you are the most perfect person to have children, but I'm not going to let you have any children because I'm going to give you this'. "And I'm going to say 'you're going to have this endometriosis, and you're going to suffer with this all of your life, chronically, and I'm not going to let you have any children. "I thought that was peculiar, cruel, and inexplicable and unforgivable. And if ever I go up to somewhere and meet this person I would say 'I think you're not OK with decisions like this, this doesn't make any sense to me,' he lamented. The dancer went on to praise women for the things they have to go through with their bodies and health and shared his sadness about not being able to take Hannah's pain away. He continued: 'Then we went through the process of IVF, well crying out loud. You girls are extraordinary. As much as I want to get involved, all I can do is hold your hand. 'It makes me emotional every time I talk about it. The injections, the stress, the anxiety. I have anxiety and stress but it's not my body. "She has these injections and the bruises in the bum, in the thigh, in the stomach. And you're trying to help but what can you do? 'Whatever you want, tell me and I'll do it but that's all you have and it's horrendous as a man to watch it. Fuming Strictly viewers accuse 'mean' judge Anton DuBeke of being 'horrible' to celeb - did you spot it? 'You feel so inadequate and you want to do so much more but I can't do anything. And that's why you girls are so extraordinary, you're extraordinary that you do all this stuff." Anton and Hannah were fortunate enough to conceive after their first round of IVF and are now a happy family of four. This isn't the first time Anton has opened up about Hannah's endometriosis as he discussed her battle while appearing on Loose Women in 2020. He told the ladies: 'For a woman, it affects the quality of your life to a degree because it sort of comes in three parts. "First, there's the excruciating pain, second there's the swelling. It sometimes makes you look like you're pregnant, which is quite a perverse thing because people come up to you and say 'congratulations' and you're like 'actually, no'.' 4
