Realising that many Malaysians struggle in managing their financial needs, while others would like to optimise their fund to reach a financial target, AEON Bank has developed two Personal Banking products for its customers – Personal Financing-i and Term Deposit-i.
Personal Financing-i (PF-i) can be a much needed support for those that wish to close the cash flow gap.
For example, a customer named Sofia will be receiving her bonus next month, but the deposit for her kitchen renovation needs to be paid within this week.
After careful consideration, she opted to apply for the PF-i, as it offers a collateral free, Shariah-complient financing facility of up to RM50,000, with flexible repayment tenure ranging between three to 48 months.
She is also keen on the fully online application process for PF-i which can be done via the AEON Bank mobile app, without the hassle of physical paperwork or going to a bank counter.
Meanwhile, for customers that would like to substantially grow their savings, Term Deposit-i (TD-i) makes it possible to earn profit on their deposits over a fixed term of various tenure options, with up to 3.08% profit rate p.a.
Staying on track with AEON Bank's Savings Pot

Selangor Pakatan leaders want Amirudin to stay as MB to allow 'continuity'

KLANG: Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz quitting Umno for PKR has got Selangor Pakatan Harapan parties urging Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to complete his full term as Mentri Besar. Amirudin has emerged as a favourite to take up a Cabinet position in the Federal Government following the resignation of Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. Selangor DAP chairman Ng Sze Han, his Amanah counterpart Datuk Izham Hashim and state PKR deputy chief Datuk Borhan Aman Shah issued a joint statement Saturday (May 31) saying Pakatan Harapan component parties wanted to maintain the status quo in the Selangor state administration. 'This support (for Amirudin) is in line with the need for the Selangor state administration to remain stable and strong to implement the various welfare programmes and policies that have been planned,'' said the trio. They named the Second Selangor Plan, the development of the third port in Carey Island, and the construction of the Shah Alam Stadium Complex among the plans undergoing completion under Amirudin's purview. 'The continuity of the main state leadership will deliver a positive message to investors and the business community in Selangor,'' said the statement. The leaders said they were also of the opinion that Amirudin's leadership as the Selangor Pakatan chief was much needed to strengthen the cooperation with Barisan Nasional for the upcoming general election. 'His experience and leadership are the key to the unity that has been shaped, which saw victory as well as the formation of the Unity Government in Selangor after the last general election," they added. Should Amirudin make the move to Putrajaya, Seri Setia assemblyman and chairman of the state Islamic and cultural innovation committee, Dr Fahmi Ngah, is one of the main potential candidates rumoured to replace him. Ng, Izham and Borhan went on to say they believed that, as an experienced administrator, Amirudin's service was also needed to help ensure Selangor continues being the nation's economic stronghold while at the same time ensuring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's Malaysia Madani agenda is a success. Tengku Zafrul announced his decision to leave Umno to join PKR on Friday (May 30), and this started speculation that he may be brought into the state administration to helm Selangor. However, a PKR insider said that this was not possible, as to be a state mentri besar or even an executive councillor, one would have to be an assemblyman first.

Malaysia Secures RM8 Bln In Potential Investments At Expo 2025 Osaka

BUSINESS Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof delivers a speech before officiating the opening of the Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka today. From Karina Imran OSAKA, May 31 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has successfully secured more than RM8 billion in potential investments and signed 20 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) through its participation at Expo 2025 Osaka, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation and chairperson of Malaysia's National Organising Committee for Expo 2025, said this achievement, involving 101 companies, represents 61.54 per cent of the overall RM13 billion target that was previously set. 'I am confident that with our coming initiatives over the next four months, we will not only surpass our target but also unlock new opportunities for Malaysians. The success of our participation will pave the way for job creation while further strengthening bilateral ties with Japan and other global partners. 'So together, we reaffirm Malaysia's role as a trusted global partner in shaping a future built on innovation and collaboration,' he said at the press conference after officiating the opening ceremony of the Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, today. Also present at the official opening ceremony were Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Liew Chin Tong, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan Datuk Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany and Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan. In addition to the digital economy, Fadillah highlighted the green economy, Japanese technologies, and global participation in Expo 2025 as key opportunities for Malaysia to explore. He noted that these opportunities position Sarawak not only as a hub for energy, particularly green energy, leveraging its hydropower resources, but also as a central player in Malaysia's Hydrogen Economy Roadmap and Energy Transition Roadmap.
