What is the ‘Hong Kong Summer Viva' campaign? And what deals are on offer?
The effort has seen the Tourism Board team up with theme park operators, retailers and transport providers to launch the 'Hong Kong Summer Viva' drive.
Here is what you need to know.
1. What is the Hong Kong Summer Viva campaign?
The campaign is being spearheaded by the board to encourage tourists and residents to spend more in the city during the peak summer travel season.
The promotion effort brings together more than 150 partners, including major attraction operators, hotels, restaurants and retailers.
It also aligns with the board's recently stated goal of focusing on the quality and duration of visits, rather than purely looking at arrival numbers, with the new direction of 'packaging' together attractions and events to create more compelling travel itineraries.
2. What about exclusive tourist offers?
In a bid to entice overseas visitors, the campaign has eight offers exclusive to tourists that will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How easy is it to ride with Hong Kong's 5 premium taxi fleets? Only 1 passes test
Four out of the five new premium taxi fleets in Hong Kong have failed to accept ride requests within 30 minutes in the city centre, a test by the Post has found several days after the cabs hit the streets with full licences providing ride-hailing alternatives for commuters. The test, conducted on a weekday morning in Tsim Sha Tsui, involved five Post reporters placing orders using separate apps from the five operators: SynCab, Amigo, Big Bee, Big Boss Taxi and Joie. Only SynCab confirmed a ride after an 11-minute wait. The other four platforms either failed to respond or repeatedly cancelled orders during the 30-minute testing window. This contrasted sharply with a separate test to get a traditional taxi or Uber, both requiring less than one minute of wait time and offering cheaper fares than SynCab. With the long-awaited launch of four more taxi fleets on Monday after SynCab, transport minister Mable Chan recently reiterated the government's commitment to improve the sector while stressing that 'each new thing has a transitional period'. Premium taxis were seen by the government as part of the solution to address long-standing complaints about poor taxi service and limited electronic payment options. The new fleets are required by authorities to install in-vehicle cameras and accept e-payments. But the Post's test found that most fleets struggled to take instant ride orders and dispatch vehicles in a timely manner.

Hong Kong prepares to celebrate 100 days to National Games with cycle ceremony
Hong Kong will mark 100 days until the start of the National Games with a countdown ceremony involving the city's leader on Saturday, in a coordinated celebration with co-hosts Macau and Guangdong. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu will lead the event at the Velodrome alongside sports and tourism minister Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, and Yeung Tak-keung, the head of the National Games Coordination Office in Hong Kong. Law and Yeung are expected to be among those completing the last 100km of a million kilometre challenge that has seen ordinary Hongkongers, collectively bike, run and walk their way to 999,900km already this month. Lee will later head to Shenzhen to be part of an evening celebration, one of several taking place on the mainland this weekend. On Sunday, Law and Yeung will head to Go Park Sai Sha, which, as part of a fitness day in the city, is staging a carnival hosted by the Hong Kong Guangdong Youth Federation. The pair will be joined by athletes and other dignitaries for the event organisers said would serve 'as a bridge' within the Greater Bay Area and deepen 'the coordinated development of sports'.
