Monaco's Yann Lienard set for Montpellier loan
Lienard has come through the ranks at Monaco but has made just one appearance, during a Coupe de France win over Union Saint-Jean last December. However, his route to first-team football is currently blocked. Radoslaw Majecki and Philipp Köhn are both in front of him in the pecking order. Another goalkeeper is expected to arrive this summer. There are ongoing talks with Bayer Leverkusen's Lukas Hradecky. Should a new No.1 arrive, as expected, either Köhn or Majecki are expected to leave.
In any case, opportunities for Lienard will be limited during the upcoming season. Toubache-Ter now understands that the French goalkeeper is set to join Ligue 2 side Montpellier. They are in the market for a new No.1 following the departure of Benjamin Lecomte, who has joined Fulham.

Sporting midfielder Morten Hjulmand open to Juventus transfer
Sporting Lisbon central midfielder and skipper Mortjen Hjulmand has opened up to a potential transfer to Juventus and would be prepared for a return to Italy after two seasons in Portugal. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that after several contacts between the Bianconeri and the former Lecce holding-midfielder's entourage, Hjulmand has a reached an agreement in principle on a five-year contract until 2030. However, Juventus face a massive hurdle in attaining coach Igor Tudor's primary target in midfield as following the sale of star-forward Victor Gyokeres to Arsenal, the Portuguese giants have no intentions in making another sale of a significant player. As it stands, Sporting Lisbon would only let the 26-year-old depart for the lucrative release clause of €60m, a figure that is extremely difficult for Juventus to reach. Hence, Hjulmand has asked his agents to discuss with Sporting in order to convince the club to drop their asking price to a fee around the region of €40m. João Palhinha back in the Premier League with Tottenham on loan from Bayern
LONDON (AP) — Tottenham has bolstered its midfield ahead of its return to the Champions League by signing Portugal international João Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to buy. The defensive midfielder returns to London and the Premier League a year after leaving Fulham for a much-hyped but largely unsuccessful move to Bayern. He has three years left on his Bayern contract. Bayern and Tottenham both confirmed the move Sunday. Palhinha offers a similar defensive midfield option to Spurs' Rodrigo Bentancur or Yves Bissouma. Expectations for Palhinha at Bayern were high but his time spent there had ended with the Portuguese midfielder spending most of the Club World Cup on the bench. Palhinha was a key target for Bayern in 2023, when then-coach Thomas Tuchel wanted to shore up Bayern's midfield. Palhinha even came to Munich for a medical but Bayern's deal with Fulham collapsed at the last moment. When Bayern finally did sign Palhinha for a reported fee of nearly 50 million euros (then $54.2 million) a year later, Vincent Kompany was the new coach. Palhinha's season was affected by injuries or illness but, even when he was fit, Kompany often preferred youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic in the midfield instead. Palhinha only started 10 of the 25 games he played for Bayern in all competitions and was an unused substitute in four of Bayern's five games at the Club World Cup.
