Peter England, India's leading menswear brand from the house of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, proudly announces the return of The Gentlemen's League with its bold new collection – The League of Legends.
Launched during the country's most celebrated cricketing festival, JioStar IPL, the brand pays homage to the game's most iconic figures – Kapil Dev, Vivian Richards, and the unmistakable voice of international cricket, Harsha Bhogle. In a nation deeply passionate about cricket, this first-ever collaboration between Peter England and cricketing legends marks a celebration of heritage, style, and the enduring charm of the gentleman's game.
Originally introduced in 2023 as a tribute to cricket's timeless spirit, The Gentlemen's League returns with an elevated vision – not just as a collection, but as a cultural moment. The League of Legends capsule features a striking range of polos and crew necks, adorned with graphics inspired by the most iconic on-field moments of Kapil Dev and Sir Vivian Richards. Each piece reflects their attitude, flair, and fearlessness, designed for today's modern gentleman who values legacy while embracing the present.
Unlike traditional sports merchandise, this collection reimagines cricket-inspired fashion through a smart casual and sport-formal lens – a distinctive positioning in India's fashion landscape. With precision tailoring, breathable fabrics, and heritage-inspired details, The League of Legends offers a versatile wardrobe that moves effortlessly from the boardroom to after-hours, from match screenings to weekend outings.
The collection artfully balances tradition and contemporary style, featuring colours drawn from the world of classic cricket and refined touches like cable knit structures, signature stripes, and cricket-inspired motifs. Key pieces include cable-knit sweaters, mnemonic cricket polos, and prints inspired by the seams and textures of cricket balls – all designed to seamlessly integrate the spirit of the game into everyday style.
Speaking on the launch, Anil S Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, at Peter England, said: 'Continuing from the Gentlemen's League collection– the new League of Legends capsule is a celebration and our humble tribute to cricket's timeless appeal and the charisma of the men who shaped it. Having legends like Kapil Dev, Sir Vivian Richards, and Harsha Bhogle on board makes this collection authentic and aspirational. It's a bold new chapter for Peter England and for the modern Indian man who dresses with purpose, pride, and passion.'
The League of Legends collection is now available across 240+ Peter England exclusive brand outlets and on the brand's online store. With this launch, Peter England not only celebrates cricket but also redefines what it means to be a gentleman – on and off the pitch.

Groom's Bollywood dance to 'Dhoom Machale' wins hearts online, Hrithik Roshan says 'Love it'

An American groom has taken the internet by storm after a video of him dancing to Dhoom Machale at his wedding went viral. Shared by the Instagram account Lettering by Sav, the clip shows the groom—dressed in just his wedding vest and trousers—pulling off energetic moves to the iconic Bollywood number alongside his friends. The video was cheekily captioned, 'When a white boy marries a brown girl.' The surprise twist? Hrithik Roshan, who starred in Dhoom 2 and is often remembered for his dance in the song, saw the video and left a comment under it. The Bollywood star simply wrote, 'Love it,' with a fire emoji and left fans delighted. The groom's performance quickly became a fan favourite. Viewers praised his energy, effort, and joyful embrace of Indian culture. Comments ranged from playful—'Hrithik has been real silent ever since this was posted'—to heartfelt. One person declared, 'This guy's a keeper,' while another joked, 'The Indian government has to give him his Aadhaar card.' But the Dhoom tribute wasn't the only moment that caught attention. In another clip shared by the same account, the groom and his groomsmen are seen dancing to 'Desi Girl' from 'Dostana', again earning applause online. One commenter summed it up best: 'I love in interfaith weddings the non Indian groom dances to Indian music and involves in the culture. I would like to see more of the Indian bride also getting involved in his culture also.' Hrithik was last seen in 'Fighter', directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also featured Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. He will next be seen in 'War 2', alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, will also be Jr NTR's most-awaited Bollywood debut. Hrithik is also set to make his directorial debut with 'Krrish 4'. The film will be jointly produced by his father, Rakesh Roshan, and YRF's Aditya Chopra. The actor has also been signed on for a production under Hombale Films. However, details of the project are currently under wraps.

Ektaa Kapoor slams Anurag Kashyap as 'so dumb' after his rant against Netflix and ‘saas-bahu' shows

Ektaa Kapoor slams Sacred Games director Ektaa Kapoor and Netflix In a clash that has stirred up Bollywood's OTT circles, two creative giants, Anurag Kashyap and Ektaa R Kapoor, have found themselves at ideological loggerheads over the future of Indian streaming content . What began as a sharp comment by Kashyap on Netflix 's evolving strategy has now snowballed into a larger debate about elitism, populism, and the cultural legacy of 'saas-bahu' television dramas. The Sacred Games director's biting remarks about Netflix's co-CEO Ted Sarandos and his jab at mainstream Indian content have prompted a fiery response from Kapoor, who defended mass entertainment with passion and a few pointed words of her storm was triggered when Kashyap reposted a headline quoting Ted Sarandos, who, in a conversation with Zerodha's Nikhil Kamath, suggested that Sacred Games 'perhaps shouldn't have been Netflix's first Indian original.' Sarandos implied that a more populist show might have served the platform's debut in India better. Kashyap, clearly unimpressed, responded with scathing sarcasm. 'He should have started with Saas-Bahu, he would have done well,' he posted on Instagram. The director then launched a more direct attack on Sarandos, calling "tech guys" "dumb" in the area of pointed remarks didn't go unchallenged. Ektaa R Kapoor, often hailed as the queen of Indian television and a strong voice in the streaming industry, responded firmly without naming Kashyap criticised Kashyap's remarks, suggesting that his tone appeared self-congratulatory and condescending, as if trying to assert intellectual superiority. She highlighted the cultural significance of 'saas-bahu' serials, pointing to a well-regarded study from Chicago that recognized their role in empowering women through mainstream Indian media. She also accused artists like Kashyap of being classist in their attitudes, despite often advocating for inclusivity in their storytelling. Her message was not just a rebuttal but a reflection on the broader dynamics of creative hierarchy in India's entertainment industry. 'We must do away with this 'you can't sit with us, we are better' attitude for democracy and fair play!' she wrote, ending her post with a note of peace: 'Love and light to all.'Interestingly, Kapoor's rebuke comes just days after Netflix announced a new creative collaboration with her production house, Balaji Telefilms, on the occasion of her birthday. 'Netflix and Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms come together in a creative collaboration to craft compelling stories across formats,' the platform posted on June 7. Kapoor also called it her 'best gift ever.'
