'F***ing hell Rio!' Laura Woods turns air blue in unseen TNT Sports footage
Laura Woods dropped an F-bomb after Rio Ferdinand accidentally interrupted her preparation ahead of the Champions League final. Ferdinand's 10-year spell working as a pundit for TNT Sports, formerly known as BT Sport, came to an end on Saturday, having announced his departure in the week leading up to the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The match saw Paris Saint-Germain thrash Inter Milan 5-0 to break a Champions League record. Before the game, presenter Woods was working on her introduction while they were still off air.
But she was left peeved off when Manchester United legend Ferdinand ambled across the camera. Woods, 37, shared the footage from pre-match on social media.
As Ferdinand walked right in front of the camera, she couldn't help but say: "F***ing hell Rio," before putting her microphone down and laughing to herself.
Woods joked: "That was going to be some of my best work ever," as Ferdinand walked back in front. The 81-time England international then took the microphone away from Woods, who was explaining that she was doing a practice take.
The pair were next heard sharing a laugh. Ferdinand continued by holding the mic to Woods' mouth before pulling it away. Realising that he was actually in shot, Ferdinand apologised to Woods.
At the end of TNT's coverage, Woods set Ferdinand up to say farewell. "Rio, before we leave, just one final goodbye," she began. "From us here at TNT Sport, to you. That is it for your career here, for now.
"Can I just say on behalf of all of us - including everyone behind the camera - you've been an absolute pleasure. And personally since I joined, you've been so incredibly welcoming. You'll be sorely, sorely missed."

Ferdinand responded by saying: "I just want to say thank you to everybody that I've worked with,. My job was made a lot easier by the great people and friends that I have worked with and will remain friends for many years.
"As important as the people you see on the screen are the people behind the screen that do all the jobs to get us here and enable us to put our best foot forward are all appreciated. Again, thank you to everybody who has been a part of it."
Ferdinand's colleague, Steven Gerrard, asked him if he going to have a cold beer, to which the 46-year-old replied: "All the beers are on me!"

Chelsea hand key figures bumper new deals amid Club World Cup and European success - and their role in spending £2BILLION reshaping Blues' squad since 2022 takeover
Chelsea have parlayed their faith in a number of their leadership team by handing key members of the club hierarchy contract extensions. The Blues are experiencing an upswing in momentum after a positive end to the last Premier League season saw them finish fourth - and return to Champions League football after three terms - and secure the UEFA Conference League trophy. The west London side then jetted to the United States to play the Club World Cup in a continuation of their season, securing the revamped trophy and an enormous £84.4million prize pot with a thumping 3-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey last month. Enzo Maresca has been hard at work reshaping the team to his preferred image in the transfer market, recruiting stars such as Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, and Jorrel Hato to join his revamped side. But the club have managed to secure critical outgoings too, with Armando Broja, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall among those to have moved on. Amid this purple patch, a number of Stamford Bridge's major deal-makers have been rewarded for the work they have carried out over the last few seasons. Sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, and recruitment heads Joe Shields and Sam Jewell have all signed new agreements which are set to keep them in west London until at least 2031. The six-year extensions are thought to reflect their commitment to the club's mission and the new deals, as with their previous contracts, are believed to be filled with performance incentives as the Blues continue to chase down trophies following their period in the wilderness. Winstanley and Stewart's January 2023 start-date came relatively soon after the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital takeover in May of 2022, with Shields the first to join up with the new regime later than year. Jewell joined the club's leadership group in 2024, and under the aegis of the four men, the club's new strategy of sustainability in recruitment and development is now in full effect. As per Telegraph Sport, since the summer of 2022, Chelsea have spent a staggering £2billion, but around £800-900m has been earned in player sales in the opposite direction. Standout signings spearheaded by the Blues' leadership team have included Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez, as well as women's team manager Sonia Bompastor, and Enzo Maresca. Chelsea have carved out a reputation for handing players bumper multi-year deals, and another cornerstone of the strategy that the leadership team have created is centred around the 'three pillars' of quality, mentality, and playing experience. Bringing important figures such as Enzo Maresca and Cole Palmer to Stamford Bridge has been a key part of their new strategy The Blues have been a markedly young side for a number of seasons, with Tosin Adarabioyo the proverbial veteran in the squad at the age of just 27. However, a number of younger stars like Palmer have now accrued vital Premier League experience, helping fuel Chelsea's belief in signing emerging talents. Among those to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer is teenager Estevao Willian, who was signed for the club last summer, but played his final at Brazilian side Palmeiras before joining up with Chelsea after his 18th birthday. Maresca's side will be keen to back up a strong - if shortened - pre-season in their opening match of the season on Sunday, against Community Shield winners Crystal Palace.

Luis Enrique hails debutant goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier after PSG's Super Cup win
Italy keeper Donnarumma helped PSG to a maiden Champions League title last season, but eyebrows were raised when the French club signed Chevalier this summer in a big-money transfer. The cards of Luis Enrique were firmly laid on the table on Monday when Donnarumma was left out of their Super Cup squad for this fixture in his home country and, despite Chevalier being at fault for one of the goals in the 2-2 draw, the 23-year-old saved a penalty from Micky van de Ven to help inspire a 4-3 shoot-out win. Asked about Chevalier, Luis Enrique said: 'I must say I am very happy. WHAT A MATCH! 🥵🔥 — Paris Saint-Germain (@PSG_English) August 14, 2025 'I am very happy with the way the game ended. It is very important for him and he showed exactly what he is made of, his character, his personality and things we ask here at PSG because we want him to get stuck in with the team. 'I am so happy with his performance, but also with the performance with regards to how he was helping the team. We are looking to get better, we are on the right track and I think we will be better this year. 'For a curtain-raiser, it was very difficult because everyone was talking about the situation, but Lucas showed personality, he showed good character and showed exactly why he is part of the Paris St Germain team.' It was nearly a different story after Chevalier allowed Cristian Romero's 48th-minute header to slip through his hands. 2025 #SuperCup 🏆 — UEFA Champions League (@ChampionsLeague) August 13, 2025 PSG were two down by this point after Micky van de Ven's tap-in six minutes before half-time, but they staged a stirring fightback with goals by substitutes Lee Kang-in and Goncalo Ramos to leave Tottenham crestfallen in Thomas Frank's first match in charge. 'We are always going and thinking we can win every single match, even when we are losing, but if I have to be honest, I have to say Tottenham deserve much more,' Luis Enrique acknowledged. 'They played better than us, they were playing better than us until the 81st minute. Football is sometimes unfair. In this case, I have to say I am very happy for that but maybe it was unfair.'

Joao Palhinha predicts ‘something special' from Spurs despite Super Cup defeat
Spurs were minutes away from winning a second trophy in the space of three months after goals by Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero either side of half-time put them in control in Udine. PSG upped the ante in the second period and, after Lee Kang-in reduced the deficit with five minutes left, fellow substitute Goncalo Ramos forced spot-kicks with a header in the fourth minute of stoppage time after a 2-2 draw. Vitinha's miss coupled with successful kicks by Dominic Solanke and Rodrigo Bentancur put Thomas Frank's team two up in the shootout, but Van de Ven and Mathys Tel failed to score from the spot and the French side claimed further silverware with a 4-3 victory. Palhinha was eager to draw on the positives ahead of Tottenham being set to return to Champions League action next month for the first time in three seasons. 'It is football. At the end we are really sad. Not just the players but all the staff, all the crowd that came to support us during the game,' Palhinha said. 'I think we also need to feel proud for what we did until the 80 minutes. You know because we fought all the games with a top team and I think we showed what we are here to get in the future. 'We have all the conditions to achieve good things this season and I think the future will bring us something special. 'I think we have the hunger from all the players to achieve this title. Everyone gave all the maximum in this game and I think we showed what we are capable of. 'We played against a top team and I think we have everything, a top coach, top players in this squad, a top crowd with a lot of hunger to achieve titles and me and my team-mates will fight for it, for sure. 'A tough night, but I know that we will shape good things in the future. We just need to keep our head up.' This was Palhinha's competitive debut for Spurs after he joined on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich. Palhinha struggled during his debut campaign in Munich, but is excited to be back in the Premier League and London following two successful years at Fulham before Tottenham's opener at home to Burnley on Saturday. He said: 'In the Premier League you have also every single week top games. I think we cannot relax and the good thing now is we have another game on Saturday to change the (bad) things and start with the right foot in the Premier League. 'I enjoyed when I played in Fulham the two years that I was there. I really miss the Premier League. I think it's a league that everyone plays and when you play there and go to play outside somewhere else, you miss something. 'I'm really proud to be back again to the Premier League. I'm really happy to be in this top club and top team. I just need to enjoy it.' Proud. There's plenty more to come 🤍 — Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) August 13, 2025 Mohammed Kudus also made his debut for Tottenham and backed them to learn lessons from the defeat. 'We've shown that we can compete at the highest level, we have to take the positives and focus on the tasks we have ahead in the coming season,' Kudus insisted. 'This is a good step, of course a big disappointment but we have a lot more to play this season, a lot more competitions and we take this as a lesson and move forward.'
