RECORD-BREAKING Luke 'The Luke' Littler will go into the Premier League Play-Offs at the O2 Arena in London next week in top gear.
This is after storming to a record-extending sixth nightly victory of the 2025 BetMGM Premier League season in Sheffield last night.
Warrington's 18-year-old world champion overcame Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries to finish top of the table with a new Premier League record 45 points.

'I'm very happy to finish top of the table and break more records once again,' reflected Littler, who landed seven ton-plus checkouts across the evening.
'The finishing wasn't too bad tonight, so hopefully I can continue that at The O2 next week.'
Littler kicked off the evening's action with a mesmerising display against Bunting, averaging 114.37, pinning all six of his attempts at double and achieved checkouts of 101, 107 and 127 to complete a thumping 6-1 victory.

In the final, Littler converted sensational 155 and 170 checkouts in successive legs to lead 5-2, before thwarting any prospect of a Humphries fightback to pocket the £10,000 nightly bonus and add Sheffield to Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Brighton and Glasgow on his list of winning Premier League venues in 2025.

Gerwyn Price gave up leads of 4-0 and 5-1 to lose his quarter-final contest 6-5 against Chris Dobey, leaving him fourth in the table which means the Welshman will square up to Littler in the first semi-final at the O2.
Earlier in the night, Aspinall confirmed his place at The O2 with a 6-2 win in his decisive quarter-final showdown against seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen.
Aspinall finished third on the ladder and will face Humphries in next week's second semi-final.

Fabrizio Romano Claims Arsenal Keeping Tabs On This Serie A Forward: Should Arteta Bring Him On Board?

In a video on his Youtube channel, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman this summer. Romano said, 'Let's see what's going to happen, guys, because Lookman could be an option for English clubs. At the moment, still nothing advanced, but for example, the agents of Lookman always gave priority to Inter, but now with Inter no longer being in the race, Premier League clubs could be attentive. 'So, for example, let's see what happens at Arsenal. Arsenal are very happy with the squad they have right now up front. In terms of age, probably Lookman is not exactly the profile of player that Arsenal usually sign. 'But maybe if Trossard decides to leave in the final weeks, that could be an opportunity. 'So, let's see what's going to happen. But Lookman could be an interesting name for these final weeks for Premier League clubs.' Lookman's Good Record In Italian Football Lookman enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club recently after he produced a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Nigerian talent scored 20 times and picked up seven assists in 40 matches for Atalanta last season across multiple competitions. (Photo by) The 27-year-old did well to average 3.24 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He kept 39.5% of his attempts on target. However, Lookman needs to improve his ball distribution, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 72.5% in the Italian top flight (stats via Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Bring Lookman On Board This Summer? Lookman is a good dribbler with the ball and can create a few meaningful chances for his teammates to score. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has proven himself to be a consistent goal-scorer in Serie A. However, the jury is still out on whether Lookman can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up this summer. Lookman would bring more quality and depth to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta's frontline. He is good enough to serve as an ideal back-up to Viktor Gyokeres at the North London club. At 27, Lookman is playing in his prime, so the Gunners would be wise to bring him on board before the end of this transfer window.

Isak breaks silence on Newcastle saga: 'The relationship can't continue'

NEWCASTLE, England (AP) — Alexander Isak has gone public for the first time about his discontent at Newcastle, saying the club has broken promises and that 'the relationship can't continue.' The Sweden striker was the subject of a bid from Liverpool during the offseason and has been training away from the Newcastle squad, having indicated he wanted to explore his options. Isak was not involved in Newcastle's Premier League opener on Saturday, a goalless draw at Aston Villa. On Tuesday, the 25-year-old Isak, who scored 27 goals in 42 games for the Magpies last season, was named in the PFA team of the season for the Premier League and used a social media post expressing his gratitude to address his situation at Newcastle for the first time. 'I've kept quiet for a long time while others have spoken,' Isak wrote. 'That silence has allowed people to push their own version of events, even though they know it doesn't reflect what was really said and agreed behind closed doors. 'The reality is that promises were made and the club has known my position for a long time. To act now as if these issues are only emerging is misleading. When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can't continue." Isak finished his post by saying: "That's where things are for me right now — and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.' Isak joined Newcastle in 2022 from Spanish team Real Sociedad and has blossomed into one of the most sought-after strikers in the world. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said last week there was still a chance Isak could be reintegrated into the Newcastle squad, despite the difficult current situation. Howe said the offseason has been challenging given the absence of his star striker but that the squad has "really come together in the latter stages of preseason.' With 23 goals in the Premier League last season, Isak was second in the scoring chart behind Liverpool's Mohamed Salah. Newcastle has been linked with a move for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa, who also sat out the opening round of games. ___ AP soccer:

Fabrizio Romano confirms green light IMMINENT in Alexander Isak deal

Liverpool have spent the last few weeks locked in a transfer battle for Alexander Isak. Ever since Newcastle rejected Liverpool's opening transfer offer - reported to be in the region of £110m - it's been speculated that sporting director Richard Hughes could be back with another bid. 🔴 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Romano optimistic Newcastle will land striker Hugo Ekitike was on the list - as were Joao Pedro, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo - but all have moved elsewhere with Ekitike taking to life at Liverpool with relish. Newcastle won't dare sell Isak until a new forward or two are sourced. Only then will Liverpool be permitted to wrap up a deal for 25-year-old Isak. But the Reds have got reason to believe that a deal could be edging closer. Fabrizio Romano claims that a 'green light' will soon come in the Magpies' chase for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. Newcastle expecting Wissa "green light" The knock-on effect of that deal will include Isak perhaps being allowed his dream move to Anfield. Of course, Newcastle will also need to go shopping for a new No9. 'Obviously Newcastle need a replacement – maybe even two strikers,' the Italian transfer supremo told his YouTube audience. 'We know the situation with Yoane Wissa at Brentford: Brentford are still blocking him, but Newcastle remain confident they'll get the green light. 'Then they would move to sign a new striker, because they need a proper number nine before they can allow Isak to leave.'
